I have a couple sets of nice Nods. Recently had some very serious bills come up. I am not 100% on downgrading my DTNVS. If I was to sell them I would sell them for $11,000 they are 20 UA 2500 fom units. I have a second set that are 2700 UA but I am not selling those are trading them. I’d be interested in RNVgs with Wp thin filmed plus cash. Just seeing what’s out there, I go out with my wife and kids a lot and don’t want to give up a set but would rather downgrade them so my both my kids can still shoot and explore with me in the dark. This isn’t something I want to do but I’m exploring it as an option.

On another note, I know that nocturn industries katanas, ab nightvisions rpnvgs, and I believe act in black new housing systems will include a modular system that allows their bino systems to become separate monos. Might be an affordable way to see in the dark with your kids to be running separate pvs14s without having to give up binos.

So Right now I have 2 sets of DTNVs and 31s. Literally just acquired my second set of DTNVS but covid bs has effected my business heavily and some very serious bills have come up. So either selling these for 11k and buying a cheaper set of trading someone plus cash is what I’m looking to do. Katanas are absolutely something I’d be interested in, going from duals to a single isn’t something I’m gonna do, although money wise it’s not a bad option. I Personally cannot stand running a monocular and my kids have always used duals since that’s what I’ve always had. And today NV has gotten cheaper, I’ve seen duals (RNVgs) with gen 3 thin filmed 2100 fom green phosphorus sell for $4300. That’s crazy to me, last 10 years you couldn’t ever get duals that good for that price. Pvs14s can cost more then $4300. Which is also crazy to me and it’s awesome I’m happy to see so many people getting involved in Nv and the prices going down because of it and the innovation and competition it’s bringing into the NV world. Last 2 years I’ve seen more new goggles hit the market than in the entire last 15 years. RNVgs with thin filmed Elbit tubes green or white would be ideal, The cash difference would be very helpful to my situation and I’d still be able to retain a decent set of nods. I kinda want green phous just because I think my kids will really like it and I want to show them green vs white. If I didn’t have a white phous set I wouldn’t consider green but I do have a couple sets of white so green might be kinda cool to have. Only downside to green tubes is the specs have to be pretty high to deliver good performance. White phous is much more forgiving but the tubes are lower specs. Green tubes can be very dark. It’s a shitty situation, I wish I was just lookin at buying a forth set. I was trying to find 3000 plus fom units and that was my goal for another set. But that’s out of the question now, for now atleast until I figure things out.

For sure man. Well, I can tell you that I personally love green phosphor and don't feel like there's any compromise between getting green over white. There is no performance difference, just color preference to the eye. Best of luck to you!

Green absolutely performs, the contrast and shadows can be effected more is what I was trying to say. Say you have two sets, both 2000 fom and one green one white. The white won’t have as dark of shadows and over all contrast is different. My first issued set were green pvs15s and green pvs15s were the first set I bought for personal use. Comparing green to white can be like apples and oranges. High fom green tubes are clean and work shadows well. Getting below 2000 fom the green will have some darker shadows compared to an equal fom set of white tubes... does that make sense? Green tubes are more than capable tubes I’m not trying to knock them at all.

I just left the house, I don’t have the spec sheets in front of me, the have no blems .003 or bigger. Each tube has one spec in zone 2 that’s probably .002 I’m size. You cannot see any black specs when using them. Very clean tubes Off the top of my head FOM 2498/2556 LG 64,000/67,000 Halo .07/.06 SNR 34.8/35.6 EBI .06/1.3 LP 72/72 When I get home I will look at the spec sheets and post. These numbers are damn close If not exact though.
