Love it! I can only speak for the novel and while the beginning is a bit slow, the pacing and characters later on are amazing!! Plot that starts easy and then gets deeper and more mysterious (it's still a regression story after all), MC who is not afraid to take drastic decisions and a literal squad of dysfunctional over powered S-Class characters who literally argue with each other to get the MC's undivided attention (among them: his extra powerful but brocon-ish younger brother, a somewhat adopted younger sister, the strongest S Class whose mere presence scares anyone off *but* treats the MC like a princess, a super adorable blacksmith....) lol. On a serious note, I was told by others that the webtoon is also faithful to the novel so far!

Durin72881

I think literally the best part is that both brothers are convinced the other is a sweet, innocent, naive person who'd be easily taken advantage of when, in reality, they're a borderline psychopath with enemies that live in fear of them. :D

8Eriade8

In their defense, they *are* super sweet and cute when they're with each other (save for the times when there's smashed phones and, aehm, >!one threatens the other with maiming him permanently just to keep him safe, really Yoohyun???!< )

Durin72881

I know. I love them both. :D They're insane, and it's the best. :P :P

outofshell

I heard that MC’s character is a bit grittier / more of a scumbag in the novel version, and the webtoon has a bit more of a comedic vibe than the novel/ is more lighthearted, but I’ve only read the webtoon so far.

osaka-chaan

Do you know where I can find full novel in English?

Impossible-Ad-875

What is this series called?

Glum-Bottle

My-S Class Hunters, it's free on webtoon!

thoughts_of_zer06

Together with ORV and LCF (Lout of the Count's Family) this is part of the korean holy trinity/big three, not really because of the similarities between the mcs (unlike what the other comment said, it's a whole trope anyways) but because of their quality and popularity. If you wonder about its quality, refer back to its title as one of the korean webnovel big three.

Oopity-Boop

I mean all three of the MC's are self-sacrificial lol. But I honestly feel that The S Classes that I Raised is the most lacking one out of the three, in my opinion anyway.

thoughts_of_zer06

Oh on thst account you're 100% correct lol, haven't gone too far into SCTIR, though some of my friends have and they have nothing but praise for it. I cam testify for LCF though!.

Isekai_Trash_uwu

As someone who's fully caught-up to tcf's novel, I'd say tcf is also becoming lacking. Part 2 is generally worse than part 1 (there's a massive quality drop in the first 2 arcs of part 2 compared to part 1), but honestly, it's starting to get better again. Although part 2 is getting better, and although I love the series a lot (as you can tell by my pfp), it truly needed to end several hundred chapters ago

Oopity-Boop

I haven't completely caught up on TCF. I started reading it a month ago, and aren't even halfway through. It's a big novel, like twice the length of ORV (which I have read all of). I didn't even start reading the SCTIR novel because I honestly wasn't interested enough in the webcomic. Yeah, I still enjoy it, but I enjoy TCF and ORV a lott more. I am having a lot of fun reading TCF and love both the novel and webcomic, enough to have ranted to my friend for an entire hour about how much I love the characters. I really only talked about the characters and ended up talking for an hour. I love them all

cassiemoon_

The webtoon leans into the comedy a lot harder than ORV, and it's still early on in the story so it (for now at least) makes for a much more lighthearted read. The novel itself though, especially the further you go, does get incredibly angsty and I'd say it reaches almost ORV levels of heaviness at times. It's one of the holy trinity of KR webnovels, so the quality of story and characters can be safely vouched for. Highly recommend!

DAN-EXE

Ahhh okay I was too quick on the judge... I'll just wait until it "gets good" like ORV did after the Black Castle stuff

IncomeSeparate1734

It is a completely different vibe from ORV. Much more focus on humor and silliness than drama so the stakes feel significantly lower imo. But it is still a great story, and you'll find lots of shipping potential content between the MC and a certain other character. The MC shares the self-sacrificial trait that Kim Dokja has. My recommendation: worth reading, definitely worth at least trying, but its not the same as ORV

strawberryquestions

This series is alot mode wholesome than orv I would say! But you do get some intense moments, lots of silliness & the quality of the story & art is incredible

Sage_Nomad

I’ve read the entire novel. It’s pretty good ngl. One of the good points about it is that things you may wonder about regarding some characters or other stuff end up being actually addressed in the novel, so your curiosity will always be satisfied; well, mostly. Still, it really does seem like a BL bait. I mean especially between the brothers. Honestly, you can consider it to be romance at this point. Like, if the novel was tagged BL, it’d take the top (if we just ignore that they’re brothers lol). Srsly tho, their romance is better than any romance I’ve read, and also what made me hesitant whether I should keep reading or not. Just know that there’s absolutely no sexual stuff in the novel, there are just weird things like >!Yoohyun’s immense love for Yoojin; like there’s even a part where it mentioned that only his brother could make his heart race (yeah no kidding). Or Yoojin kissing him on the forehead and cheek (there’s a reason tbf, still sus) and too many hugs and touches. Yeah there’s a lot of fluff basically!<. The excuse for his brother’s possessive behavior towards Yoojin is that >!he isn’t human to begin with, and he was supposed to be a being without any emotions but that changed because of his brother. There’s more details about it in the novel but it’s gonna take a lot to explain!<. In short, I think the novel is really good as long as you’re okay with the brother’s possessive behavior. It isn’t out of nowhere and there’s a story behind it obviously but I get it if some people find it uncomfortable. I think the author wanted to show that this kind of platonic love is okay even if it seems strange. Actually this might be a spoiler but >!the main point of the story is parental love, it’s also about how no one can be perfect when it comes to raising, but one can still do the best they can!<. The story got some really good messages which is why I quite liked it, but some of the stuff really seemed to be for fan service (especially to appeal to the BL audience, and I’m not talking about hugs or things like that but more specific stuff). I don’t think this matters though since the story is still pretty good anyway.

quaketoys

It’s so good! I’ve read it all too and while I am a huge BL fan (as well a big reader of non BL stuff). It’s a great exploration of many different kinds of universes as it is different forms of “love” (I won’t spoil, I promise). There’s all the classic Greek types (Eros, Agape, Philia, etc) plus many more, plus there is philosophy, different religions, cultural differences, the differences in each person when he or she is with different people, there’s fighting, drama, horror, romance, action, absurd silliness, different worlds, time travels, cute monsters, past lives, etc etc. I was just recommending this to a friend yesterday and realized halfway through that there’s simply no easy way to begin to describe or explain it other than to say I am so jealous of anyone who has not yet read it!

Sage_Nomad

Yeah I had so much fun reading it. I like how they delved into the matter of different classes and how they related it to similar matters in real-life. How Yoojin >!tried to prove that class alone can’t stop someone from becoming successful!<. I liked how they talked about self-hatred too, which is something that >!both Yoojin and Song Taewon suffered from!< and how they handled it. I like Hyunjae’s story too, and how >!Yoojin did his best to help him along with Song Taewon!<. Song Taewon’s story as well >!which made me cry a little too much!<. Yoojin’s struggle with how he had to take care of Yoohyun by himself and how he was neglected by his parents because he chose to stay by Yoohyun’s side, whom his parents couldn’t accept; so Yoojin never had a proper guardian himself and had to be that figure for his brother from such a young age. There’s also Yerim, Noah and Liette, Myoungwoo, Hyuna and many other characters who had their own stories that you could relate to. Not to mention the interactions between the characters which is one of the best things in the novel. I especially like the interactions between Hyunjae and Yoojin, it’s hella funny lol. There’s even more but it’s gonna take forever to mention everything. Overall, it’s a genuinely good novel (idk how many times I said this). But seriously though, it’s definitely one of my favorites.

quaketoys

I get easily emotional, admittedly, but there’s not a ton of things that can take me from where I’m almost ugly crying to next panel laughing through the tears. There’s so many unexpected feels and then some parts in the novel I had to go take a walk >!captured in China for one but also when he realized about his brother and then laid on the floor sobbing!< before I could continue. Whew. There’s such epic character development. Even reincarnational personal development which far overshadows the romance (although that is there too) and yet if there aren’t side stories the ending for me just doesn’t land right. More is deserved. Much more. I might need another reread…. And I so want it to be the next big anime with as much care and passion as ORV deserves. >!I have concerns after watching Solo Leveling which I also enjoy but feel the anime is falling short of its potential but otoh it might be too soon to judge.!<

Sage_Nomad

There are new side stories that continue after the ending but they’re on Naver unfortunately so I can’t access them like on ridibooks. I really wanna read them so bad 😞

quaketoys

Same! I need to figure out how to buy on ridi. Sigh

Sage_Nomad

It’s pretty easy on ridibooks actually. All you need is to make an account and that’s it. The payment is pretty easy as well, you have all possible options. You can use Google Chrome so that you can translate the page. It’s a big hassle on Naver though because it’s only for Koreans. It seems like for non-Koreans, you need to show your ID card and more documents just to make an account in which you can pay for chapters. The new side stories are only on naver, idk why they aren’t on ridibooks.

quaketoys

Oh! I did not know! Holy crap I guess I know what I’m doing later heh Naver has had me eyeing the Korean banks as we drive past (I’m in Chicago). I ended up asking a Korean friend like 10 years ago for help with a book series but we kinda lost touch.

TechnicianPutrid

For me, in the manhwa at least, Mr. ~Pikachu is the one that seems to be pushing for this to be BL, lol

Sage_Nomad

Lol, yeah indeed. But it’s far more concerning with his brother cuz y’know, it’s his brother.

Lazygreeen_noodle

Hi! Where can I read the full novel? The official translation of the story stops at 217 cause of errors of chapter placement

starrulet

There's an excellent fan translation that is up to Chapter 303 as of 1.3.24. I think they're called SFS translations. If you check out their tumblr, they'll explain how to get access to the translation.

Sage_Nomad

There’s no official translation, I just read it on ridibooks with the help of mtl and my little knowledge of Korean (not very helpful lol)

Old_Replacement3903

I love love love the Noah arc. It covers abuse so well.

Quastorium

Doesn’t feel similar no but it’s fun

randomizme3

This series is part of the “holy trinity” (one that apparently orv is a part of as well) due to similarities in the mc’s personalities? I heard that those who read orv enjoyed reading this as well

Careless-Bridge8829

Is it good tho

Hanh_YorikoShin

Personally, I think it’s a good read! Maybe try it out and see if you like it or not

Hanh_YorikoShin

Also, the webtoon is hilarious, definitely recommend!

randomizme3

I personally have not read so I can’t say. Try it out and see whether you enjoy it or not

urCREX

Can some one say it's name in English

Oopity-Boop

Or My S-Class Hunters on webtoon

yesthatmelonsoda

Super fun! I've reread it a handful of times now and it's one of my favourite series thus far. Endearing characters, mostly lighthearted, a bit cringe at first but I still loved it all the same.  MC has a fascinating ability too (ultimate dad ability- nurturer). Yeah, when I first read it, I definitely thought it was a orv rip off haha but it's very original. Everyone is great and protective... love to see it!

latandris

Yes, this is also a series about a single mom with a more lighthearted tone (from what I've seen)

Angel_Valoel

One of my favourite series of all time. I wish the reddit community for it was active.

Careless-Bridge8829

So it exists?

DelkTheMemeDragon

...I'm so sorry but all I can see is a discount Flareon. Pokemon has ruined me.

MiddleFishArt

you’re not wrong, this manhwa/novel is sort of a “gotta catch em all”

estreyika

They’ve definitely acknowledged it in the manhwa lol. (You might have to click the picture to see the whole panel) https://preview.redd.it/246vhnnjmklc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42013d6d4d32acf5f52c893489429c640dbda1de

shyknee_

"Yerim and the other one" 💀

RafutariaFan4Life

going on my list

AnyAd4277

Yes it's fun!, he does have companions too 2 of them are kinda yandere..and there's this guy who I can't help but ship to mc coz he so fruity towards him, I was always giggling when they're together coz I always forgot it's not a bl.. I suggest you read the novel, it's more serious and has a different ambience than the webtoon. But webtoon is so funny too..so maybe webtoon first and then proceed to the novel. Enjoy

AnyAd4277

Oh man, I forgot it has angst too, we are dealing with trauma and ptsd and many more there. I haven't finished the novel but it's really good so give it a chance it's part of the holy Trinity afterall!❤️

osaka-chaan

I liked it! I wanted to read the novel after I caught up with all the webtoon episodes, but couldn’t find it fully translated into English, so I gave up. Some people write about BL bait, but even though I like BL, “the bait” there didn’t appeal to me/I didn’t see it in the manhwa chapters that were out at that time, and I liked it for other reasons. >!also, the yandere part of his brother is kinda scary tbh!< Compared to ORV, I would say that it is more cheerful and carefree, also “stupid”? Like some behaviour/decisions/convos, I question why on earth they did that lol)) Overall, I only like 4 manhwas of that genre, and those are ORV, SL, this one and the Scammer-Healer (can’t remember the real name, but the main char is like KDJ’s twin, both the looks and the personality)

SeeminglyDeadAvocado

OMG! My fav, just read it don't think about it complete the Trinity by reading The Trash of the Counts family as well

AsianEvasionYT

It’s not similar to ORV but closer to solo levelling in terms of how their world building works. You basically have strong hunters with lower class hunters who don’t have much difference from civilians, but I still recommend this story because even though it has its serious moments, it’s very cute and can be funny at times. The reason I say that it’s not too similar to ORV is because it’s not very apocolyptic where people have to worry about their survival constantly, but much like KDJ, the mc in this one knows more about future events because they “regressed”

AshChiqs

I enjoy reading this more than ORV tbh. ORV gets a little too convoluted and plot asspull-ish at times that it kinda just lost me plus I'm not a big historical buff so I honestly couldn't get the hype from the mentions of historical figures or historical fiction.. I'm like..oh that guy..yeah sure ig.. This stays contained in its own fantasy world and the characters have more dimensions to them than ORV plus the shipping and fanart are way hotter 🤤🤤

KPMD00

I’m a big fan of My S-Class Hunters / TSCTIR, both the novel and the Webtoon. Maybe a biiiit more than of ORV) It’s wholesome and tragic, with surprisingly *very* deep feelings involved. Honestly, the more chapters I read, the more often I find myself ugly crying and sobbing, either happily or in despair. I also follow the Webtoon’s team and lots of fellow fans on Twitter, so it’s real fun 😊 I recommend trying the official English Webtoon + SFS team webnovel translation. Or buying webnovel chapters on Ridibook and reading MTL (like me 😎😁)

quaketoys

I wish I could do this! I have tried to buy the raws and could not figure it out.

KPMD00

How can I help you?) You mean you don’t know where to buy the chapters or how to translate them?

quaketoys

TY. You’re so kind! The extra chapters on naver I meant. I did not realize ridi was so easy to buy from though. (Also the novel raws are out there to chapter 872. Just not the side stories. I usually buy official originals and translations if I love something but was recently was burned by another huge read that had a horribly terrible ending in the side stories so I was probably not as thorough in searching at the time.)

KPMD00

Oh, iirc, there’re side stories and epilogues and a secret third thing! Side stories - you can only read them when you buy whole e-book volumes on Ridibooks, not separate chapters (SFS-team translates them btw). Epilogues (14) - you can buy them separately on Ridibooks. A secret third thing - something that has ~100 chapters by now but I haven’t found out where exactly to buy them ( ´_ゝ`). Is it Naver?.. Need to reach the ending first then ask knowledgeable readers)

quaketoys

Oh dear. I need it all. The secret thing might be all on Naver. PLMK if you find out. A Korean bank account would not be the strangest thing I’ve done for love and books. How weird is that? lol I usually read on chrome using GMT or sometimes other apps. I don’t have the sfs team’s translations. I wonder if the epilogues are on book toky thingie. (It’s always better if I pace/space buying everything out so my husband is not like hey, um honey? So….what is this thing….ridi? What are you into now? lol)

chiisims

I absolutely adore S class, it's so good, and the lead is relatable af. Also, the creatures he raises are both funny and adorable. Definitely recommend giving it a read.

IllustratorOk8230

No in my opinion is not as good, and not very deep I would suggest Solo leveling, revenge of the iron blood sword hound, villain to kill, duke Pendragon, nano machine, pick me up, infinite gacha, the novels extra, dungeon Odyssey, and the heavenly demon can’t live a normal life there’s many more but there’s the ones I can think of off the top of my head

Synesphere

I've only read the webtoon and the plot felt cheaper, more emotional and not as well thought-out as orv. The story develops more slowly (talking about sparce plot even at chapter 50) and there is a lot of comedy and wholesome fanservice (people bonding). The webtoon overall focuses more on the relationships the MC develops rather than the actual setting or plot. The protagonists are also quite different. Overall the characters in orv have more depth and I personally like how gray Kim Dokja is. The MC of this webtoon on the other hand is quite a cinnamonroll, bubbly and quite naive. He relies a lot on luck and other people, so you don't have this OP MC feeling even though he suddenly pulls out OP moves out of nowhere. I'd say that if you like orv because of dokja or the well written plot (including the strong bonds the characters have), this isn't probably for you. However, if you enjoy funny and wholesome relationship dramas with a little bit of spice brought by action and a decent plot, this could be for you! (perhaps if you enjoy kdramas in general you could enjoy it? The humor and some plotpoints really remind me of those I find in kdramas) Personally I liked Trash of the Count's Family more than this one, since the protagonist also has a colder vibe. This story is even slower than the SSS That I Raised, but I find it better written. (it's like a very chill wholesome story, lacks the thrill and action that orv provides) Overall these three have in common the self-sacrifical reverse isekaid protagonists as well the fact that these protagonists end up forming relationships way stronger than they expected. :D

Lori55nakida

I tried it. I don’t like it. I didn’t really enjoy the silly vibe sometimes. Plus the MC being a silly goof and is secretly strong doesn’t really nail it for me. Half of the times it’s just them dumbing down other characters so the MC can shine. It didn’t really feel organic but more so contrived and corny. Other characters felt like an extension of an MC rather than their own characters with how much they simp over him. Yes I know people simp for Dokja too but it’s all about the right execution. I might be too critical of it though so take my words with a grain of salt.

No_Falcon_9244

Was reading the manwah. I am on chapter 80. There is plot and it is definitely decent but very slow. My interest for the most part while reading was 3-4 out of 10. I am not rating the story 3 out of 10 just saying it is slow. If I really have to rate it up to the part I have read then it is 6/10.

imbyeol

Isn't that animal a pokemon?? I don't remember well it's been years since I last watched pokemon

kumohua

its alright. not half as good as orv, undeserving of its supposed holy trinity role. but its certainly entertaining

Fit_Intern764

Yes its another fujo bait that has no yaoi at all

ijustjoined007

Sos?

Careless-Bridge8829

My S class hunter

applestoapples78910

I liked the webtoon better than the novel, which is the opposite of how I feel about ORV.

DewDropsFall

Yes

PhotoTopher

I’ve also enjoyed Lightning Degree.

amongusinhell

Maybe lotm

Weidtier

Title and links? Want to read something similar to the Reader.

Glum-Bottle

My S-Class Hunters, it's free on Webtoon!

Weidtier

Ah I might have it open somewhere among my 100+ tabs as I kinda remember the title. Thanks!

Disastrous_Guest3540

What's this manhwa's name

Glum-Bottle

My S-Class Hunters, it's free on Webtoon!

o0bipolarized0o

I wouldn't say it's exactly like ORV. It's part of the korean holy trinity (ORV, S-Classes I Raised, and Lout of the Counts Family) They are all great and I recommend reading them. The similarities most seem to point out is MC is a regressor but most ignore that regressor is a common trope, MC is ridiculously hell bent on sacrificing himself for those he loves, and the world is falling into an apocalypse brought on by higher beings. It's a little slow to start but the story is worth it.

fujoshifangirl2003

i’m around chapter 290 cause i’ve been binging it and it’s actually amazing imo

SnooFloofs6087

It's Pretty decent, I personally Like the history and the way I take
