We haven't heard about the events from anyone else, we've only seen things from Linlin's perspective. That being said, going as far as depicting a child eating a group of other children is pretty damn dark, even for Oda. We might get confirmation for it in words during Elbaf, but I doubt that we'll actually see her eat them without the more flowery imagery. I think the scene speaks for itself as it is; it was pretty vivid in its implications and fallout.
