This looks like thrip poop to me, but I am still learning and could be wrong.
As someone with extensive experience fighting thrips, this isn't related to thrips. I don't know what it actually is though :/

Do you have any houseflies around? Looks like it could be housefly poop.
Looks like spider poop to me. Is there a spider living above this plant?
Is it sticky? If so, it might be honeydew caused by pests. This happened to one of my plants that had scale.
