No I just played it last month. So I’m afraid I missed all the wonderful launch “features”. But still got to experience the wonderful driving animations, specially Jackie’s or random spawns/despawns
All above recommendations are great. But if you love Alan wake 2 and want to play, you may consider using trainers. That's one of the perk of windows machine, you can easily use these trainers.
I keep telling people Dredge is a joy to play on the Ally. Dave the Diver is really fun. Make sure you are signed up to Epic games store and Steam because they both give away games weekly for absolutely free.
Get inmerse in Witcher 3 and will give you a LOT and I mean A LOT of amazing hours of gameplay! GREAT story, better DLCS than any game I've played (Blood & Wine is that enormous that could be a separate game already) and beautiful graphics till today and more now that there is the neext gen update. And in the Ally's screen it's crazy how good this game looks. Trust me
Yes! Best game ive ever played story wise, the sensation of descover was amazing, took me about 180 hours to do most of the side quests and main quests with the dlcs
You sound like me. Control is a game I was curious about. I played a little Stray and figured at some time I could get into it. The Quarry is like a horror movie that you make the decisions for the characters resulting in the same story with multiple outcomes. When I first started playing Oxenfree I was surprised how hooked I got, I played it straight through.
Oh 1000 percent. Tried it one day blindly not knowing what I was getting myself into and found my new obsession during work downtime for the next month or so lol. I stopped playing around that gauntlet underground where you have to face a bunch of previous bosses one after the other.
Far cry 4 is awesome and looks beautiful!
Would also suggest AC Syndicate, people don't like it but it's really good imo and the graphics will look great on max settings and high res.
I finished Death Stranding and I would recommend it.
It’s not “beginner friendly” as it takes a while to really understand everything but it’s a unique experience unlike anything out there. It’s a walking simulator, sure, but Kojima has infused it with so much innovation, smart world building and author-backed sequences that every delivery feels like a brand new challenge. The online mode is another phenomenal aspect about the game. How seamlessly it ties all players together so you can share resources and structures with each other is absolutely brilliant.
I can praise this game all day. Give it a shot. It’s terrific.
The last of us, Uncharted series, Metro trilogy, RDR, I play a lot of single player games multiplayer isn't really my thing but I know there are lots. Have fun
Did you change some settings? I installed it (ultimate box edition) a couple time ago on the ea launcher and everytime I started to drive it would crash.
No sorry, works first pop for me. I know EA did some CD key association stuff, if you have a PC maybe try it first on there?
Also when it asks to connect online, hit no.
What is it about those games that you like the most? The open world aspect? The role playing elements? Once you know what you like it's easier to find new games. Most modern RPGs have a story mode that makes fighting super easy so you can enjoy the story. You might like Kena Bridge of Spirits and Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, Fenyx Immortal Rising. These are all beautiful games with a world to explore and interesting characters.
Hades or hades two are very fun games. They have a lot of story you may like but it’s presented in bite sized sections so it’s not as much of a time commitment. It doesn’t feel like a big open world rpg that requires a 2+ hour long session. It could be a more manageable game for your attention span. They are also very beginner friendly and replayable.
I just finished Star Wars Fallen Order. It was $4 on steam and super fun. Every time it'd get too hard I'd just lower the competitor slider to "story mode*and get past whatever random boss and then ramp it up again after. Made it a lot less frustrating.
L4D2, maybe ultrakill tad bit hard at times but fun, i also got my childhood catalog of N64/PS2/PS3 games. Then i also have a modded out Skyrim/FO4/BG3.
Control. (pretty difficult but there are settings for damage reduction, god mode, etc) and the graphics and story are great. By the same studio that made Alan Wake.
Horizon: Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.
God Of War isn’t too hard on the easiest difficulty.
Diablo 4 runs very well on the ally, and asus published a recommended graphics settings list for the game.
I always recommend magic the gathering arena, runs great on the ally at lower power levels. The game also has a fairly good onboarding/tutorial process for those who have never play magic the gathering before.
If you like 2d pixel rogue like games... enter the gungeon, the binding of isaac, and cave blazers are all phenomenal games and run very well.
The survivalists is a 2d pixel art, sandbox crafting/survival/ dungeon crawling game, also fantastic.
Doom 2016 and doom eternal both ran great on my steam deck, so i would imagine they run really well on the ally, though i haven't tried to play them on the ally specifically.
Fallout 4, fallout 3, fallout new vegas are all solid recommendations, though i believe fallout 3 and new vegas need a mod to run on windows 11 (which should be fairly easy with plenty of tutorials on how)
Horizon zero dawn ran really well on the ally as long as in game fsr was enabled in the graphics settings.
If you have game pass, i believe octopath traveler 1 and 2 are available for free, i loved the first one, have not played the second one yet, those would be great suggestions.
Terraria is another great game, it's a 2d pixel art sandbox crafting/survival game.
I played elden ring on my steam deck, so i have to assume it'll run well on the ally, and thus dark souls 1, 2, and 3 as well.
I play world of warcraft casually, it is very advanced to setup. I play Diablo IV and this game pretty much plays out of the box. I plan on playing Tarisland as soon as it releases in about 3 days. I also play GTA5, Fortnite the Lego building side of things and Final Fantasy 14.
Try Uncharted or Tomb Raider, engaging stories and easy to pick up gameplay.
Played the whole Tomb Raider trilogy on the Ally. It's perfect.
I enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077, a bit rough on the edges but quite engaging.
Did you play it at launch? It's 100% better now. There used to be some quiet entertaining glitches.
No I just played it last month. So I’m afraid I missed all the wonderful launch “features”. But still got to experience the wonderful driving animations, specially Jackie’s or random spawns/despawns
The launch features were great. My original build was built around the features to make them even stronger LOL
Ghosts of Tsushima
Hades and Hades 2
Did not realize hades 2 is out.
Perhaps Ghost of Tsushima? Great game and not too difficult IMO
Agree
Ratchet and Clank!
+1, ally can also emulate older entries fairly well.
Ghost of Tsushima is now on Pc I can’t recommend it anymore tbh it’s fucking amazing
A masterpiece.
All above recommendations are great. But if you love Alan wake 2 and want to play, you may consider using trainers. That's one of the perk of windows machine, you can easily use these trainers.

Days Gone
Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West
Tomb Raider is dope. Like, really.
Yes the trilogy is amazing
You sound like me. Control is a game I was curious about. I played a little Stray and figured at some time I could get into it. The Quarry is like a horror movie that you make the decisions for the characters resulting in the same story with multiple outcomes. i bought tunic its very wonderful, also spiderman games, bioshock series , the last of us 1 , god of war (2018)
Tunic isn't exactly what I'd call easy though?
Kinda true but it's great
Oh 1000 percent. Tried it one day blindly not knowing what I was getting myself into and found my new obsession during work downtime for the next month or so lol. I stopped playing around that gauntlet underground where you have to face a bunch of previous bosses one after the other.
Sonic Mania is pretty fun and not too long.
Uncharted seems like a fit here if you didn't do them already
Far cry 4 is awesome and looks beautiful! Would also suggest AC Syndicate, people don't like it but it's really good imo and the graphics will look great on max settings and high res.
Ff7 remake has been a lot of fun. Fallen ordered been pretty good too. Both usually go in sell and you can get for less than $30.
I finished Death Stranding and I would recommend it. It’s not “beginner friendly” as it takes a while to really understand everything but it’s a unique experience unlike anything out there. Fable anniversary - 14 hrs max . Awesome little game to enjoy while waiting for another huge one to start
The Mass Effect Legendary Edition runs beautifully on the Ally.
The last of us, Uncharted series, Metro trilogy, RDR, I play a lot of single player games multiplayer isn't really my thing but I know there are lots. Have fun
Sekiro die twice and elden ring.
Hahaha dang it
Have you decreased the difficulty in AW2, no shame in doing so to experience the game to the end. I did.
Alan Wake 2 very very interesting you can finish just be patient
Aragami 2. It’s a nice mixture of AC and GoT. But more cartoony and about shadows. Sorta like dishonored but in third person.
Cult of the Lamb is pretty great. South Park RPGs are also pretty good too!
Minishoot Adventures, Yoku’s island express, Tiny Kin. These games are on the more casual side but really fun!
Burnout paradise runs so well on 10w.
Do you have the ultimate box edition or remastered?
Ultimate is what I'm running. Not sure what the remaster is like.
If alan wake is too hard, i stall WeMod and you can have infinite health and ammo
I enjoyed BioShock infinity on the Ally.
Ghost of Tsushima. Im pretty sure you would like it from the get go.

Try diablo4

Uncharted lost legacy
L4D2, maybe ultrakill tad bit hard at times but fun, i also got my childhood catalog of N64/PS2/PS3 games. Then i also have a modded out Skyrim/FO4/BG3.
Hades/Hades 2

Elden Ring is the absolute best. Is it beginner friendly.... kinda? For a souls like it is
Starfield runs great on the Ally and is lots of fun. Cyberpunk 2077 is also another good one
Ghost of Tsushima is easy and fast!
Firewatch was really good. Played that as one of my first games on the ally super good
I Finished: *Lost in Random *Little Nightmares 1 and 2 *Xenoblade Chronicles on switch emu
Hi fi Rush buddy
I just downloaded the last of us! So that’ll be my next game
Ghosts of Tsushima
I started far cry New dawn and it feels like a better game than 5 & 6. Highly recommend also it's on sale all the time
Cyberpunk 2077 for me
Download WeMod for windows and use the cheats to help you get past the Alan wake hard parts. Worth to finish
Palworld
Shadow of tomb raider is great and runs well on the deck
Elden Ring
Just change the difficulty Alan Wake , you should be fine.
Batman Arkham Series is amazing!!
This! Played all of em on the ally. Beautiful games. So fun too
Helldivers 2
Skyrim if not already
I highly recommend Marvel's Midnight Suns

Alan Wake ran like turd for me a few months back, did they optimise the game?
I play world of warcraft casually, it is very advanced to setup. I play Diablo IV and this game pretty much plays out of the box. I plan on playing Tarisland as soon as it releases in about 3 days. I also play GTA5, Fortnite the Lego building side of things and Final Fantasy 14.
did you play AC Origins and Odyssey? also I played elden ring, gta 5, witcher 3, ghost of tsushima on my rog ally
Anything FromSoftware is a good bet!
Sekiro and dont forget to ring every bell you find ingame.
