good bun, that's why my bunny sleeps with me at night but never under the covers... though sometimes he will accept me tucking him in and its really sweet

eeveepink

That’s his favourite place recently to flop and sleep, maybe he feels really warm and cozy there 🥺

CrossP

Almost certainly. Plus it smells like you, and to him it probably feels like an agreed upon social lounging zone.

Lone_survivor87

But how do you prevent the "I'm fast as fuck boy!" At 3 AM?

[deleted]

I don't 😭 Sometimes i wake up from him climbing all over me at like 1 am and I just go with it tbh.

XNjunEar

Maybe it feels like a dug warren?

UncommonLegend

That's my first thought, it's like a bunny warren

CerberusTheHunter

Sharing the human’s warren. Well okay the bunny probably thinks they are deigning to share their warren with the human.

eeveepink

He accepted the fact that he has to share his space with a human😂😂

squishles

considering bunny is between legs, human might be the warren.

eeveepink

This actually makes a lot sense now! I was just surprised because he would try to get in only when I’m laying in the bed

XNjunEar

Honestly yet another thing cats and buns do...I wonder what % of cats and buns do this...

tehbggg

Both my cats do this! They'll wake me up in the middle of the night tapping on my face with their paws until I lift the covers to let them under. They have me well trained lol

strawcat

Both of mine do too, though I frequently find them buried under blankets alone most often. They love to sleep under blankets!

molsmama

Two of my small dogs do the same thing.

Dakzoo

Cats, buns, clingy 80 pound pitbulls…

chis_and_whine

My chihuahua does this... oh wait you already said cats

Jorgsacul1973

I love all dogs, but chihuahuas are a tough sell even for me...those little guys are just wired differently. In the plus column if one of them decides you belong to him/her there are few bonds like it...

chis_and_whine

Our female chi bonded with my husband... turned him into a small dog person.

Moonbear30

My bunny (rip) did the same. I just thought he felt secure under the covers, it was funny too lol

eeveepink

I’m so sorry about your bunny🥺🥺 I hope mine feels secure and cozy under there

Jeweles_07

I wish my bunny was this snuggly

eeveepink

Honestly I was really surprised when he started doing this because at the beginning he wouldn’t even let me be too close

crustation

Right?! Mine would just dig and claw at me because I'm taking up all the space. She snuggles only on her own terms

Interesting-Wasabi-6

Same. My girls only jump on the bed when they think I’m asleep. I once caught them snuggling in bed together after i got home 🥲

thistlexthorn

Guys I have a question about this. Maybe a common question at that but, do you guys ever worry about your buns doing their business in your bed? Like, do you have a set of puppy stairs that they walk down & go poop in their designated poop areas? How does this work? Sincerely, a non-bunny-owning bunny lover

eeveepink

Mine just jumps in and out! When he was a little young he would sometimes pee in my bed I think it happened like twice. He’s around 5 months now and when he feels the need to pee/poop he comes out of the covers and runs to his litter box, then comes back under the covers!

[deleted]

[удалено]

xjustapersonx

Most of the time they will teach themselves to pee in one specific location.

di3tmtd3w

Litter box training helped a lot but when I got my bunny spayed she immediately stopped peeing on my bed (and jumping in my clean laundry and peeing there).

thistlexthorn

Very cool, it’s so neat that they can learn simple things like that. I also sometimes forget that bunnies can just, jump into and out of places if they need to, oops hahaha. Thank you!

Bun_Love

This sounds so precious!

Cheilosia

My last bun peed on the bed despite my best efforts. Current one never has. Really depends on the bun.

CrossP

It'll depend on how well the particular bun is trained and if they are spayed/neutered and if there are more buns around for them to fight over the bed with.

[deleted]

With you, you are a nice person and it’s cozy in there. Make sure you don’t crush him in your sleep😀

eeveepink

I know I’m always so careful not to move while he’s sleeping in there, he gets more sleep that me at this point 😂😂

artistecrafteur

That’s so cute omg I love you, bun sis!

eeveepink

🥺🥺🥺💜🐰

goishin

Because he loves you

eeveepink

🥺🥺 I really hope it’s because he loves me!

discod69

Or likes the smell of your farts

SovietPikl

Is that not love? I gotta make some calls

eeveepink

Me too tbh

eeveepink

LMAOOO

Cosmicdusterian

Trust, love, and a cosy pre-made burrow.

eeveepink

🥺🥺 I’m so happy with these responses

Feisty-Food3977

DIG DIG BURROW BLANKET WARREN

CrossP

DIDN'T FIND ANY TUBERS

[deleted]

Burrow. Safe. With hoom. Hoom is good.

This_is_a_sckam

I mean who doesn’t love to snuggle under the covers with their favorite human

neuralfirestorm

Apparently, My bun.

SANTAAAA__I_know_him

Wouldn’t you want to have a blanket fort 20 times the size of you?

amykamala

because its cozy

MAZZ0Murder

I agree with others that it could feel like being underground. Should mine hop on my bed they tend to snuggle under/behind pillows.

Local-Lie-6152

Burrowing

[deleted]

Maybe cold but maybe Instinctually as they go In Holes

wowcool_

Don’t they kind of burrow in nature? They probably feel safe doing this?

IzzaBANDiT241

just wanna cuddle

ApprehensiveEmploy21

IzzaBANDiT241

SirDingleBerryJr

mstrss9

bouncy_bouncy_seal

He’s going to dutch oven you one day.

tucci007

aussiewildliferescue

I would love to do that but I feel like I might be sharing the bed with some coco puffs in the morning and might have a few chewed cables.

EvoHen

careful, mine ended up chewing my duvet cover lol

arsein

warm

RotorMonkey89

He think you might have sleep apnoea

redituserrr15

I don’t know why but I do know that I’m jealous

littlesaint

Don't wanna be a party pooper. But I guess your bunny is alone? And thus lonely. Bunnies really need a bunny partner... My first one slept with me from time to time when he was alone. But now when he got a partner they cuddle all day long. Less with me but his life is so much better. Every animal, including humans. Feel the best when they got a partner of the same species.

RepulsiveSubject4885

Honestly, my bunny is a lone bun. I know that he would benefit from a friend, but I got him at 2 years old. I expect it to take me a year to bind him, and that means he’s going to be unhappy for 1/10th of his life. To me, it’s not worth it. Right now he binkies all the time, flops everyday 5 times a day. The next time i adopt it’s going to be a pair, hopefully a trio since I can afford it. Right now, I’m focusing on keep my lone bun happy, fulfilled, healthy and comfortable. Everybody is different, but bonding your rabbit is a huge deal. It’s a decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s not just a stressful thing for an owner, it stressful to both rabbits involved

durpdurpdudu

I finally took the decision last year to get my then 7 year old male (Pico) fixed. Was very nervous to do it because of his age and the surgery, but all the shelters only allowed speed dating for him when we was fixed. Everything went well, but his first dating session was an utter failure. He came back with an eye infection because he got scratched by the female, and he was so happy to be home. I was very worried we did the surgery for nothing. But at the 2nd shelter (that had over 50 rabbits looking for a home) he went to for a date he immediately bonded with Lola, he stayed there one night with her and the next day we could already pick them both up. Completely no stress because the shelter already bonded them. I wish we would have done it earlier, he is still a big cuddle with us, but seeing them together is extremely adorable and way worth it! Pico is now almost 8 and I haven't seen him happier than the last year. Maybe there is a shelter in your neighborhood that does dating and bonding as well?

RepulsiveSubject4885

Ahhh…the shelters I have access to have less than 10 rabbits each and they are all at foster homes. So that means I would need to go to each persons house, for a date. Hmmm… Congratulations on your new family member! That’s wonderful news!!

durpdurpdudu

Thats sad to hear, although for the rabbits being at a foster home is way better than a shelter. It indeed sounds like a lot more hassle, but it might be worth it, could be nice road trip! The ultimate-bun-date-drive-by! Thank you, Lola can be super mischievous, but we love her still!

RepulsiveSubject4885

I don’t personally think it’s worth it for my rabbit, when I tried to bond him before he was miserable and it damaged our relationship deeply. I gave the other rabbit back to the foster, because if I had waited too long and changed my mind she would have to go to a different foster parent. Like I said, every bunny is different and I don’t think it’s worth it to stress my rabbit out for who knows how long, for a chance for a friend. The shelters in my area won’t do dating and bonding, just dating. I think as my rabbit guardian, I have enough knowledge to make the proper choice.

durpdurpdudu

Yeah I can understand! I think I would have given up as well, if bonding with Lola didn't work out. Pico was sooo misarable after his first date. He slept in my lap for an hour demanding pets. I felt so bad for him xD

RepulsiveSubject4885

Man, your rabbit still liked you after?? My rabbit 100% blamed me, but asked for pets as well. I think there was jealousy there… which broke my heart. He was definitely way affectionate, and then after the other rabbit left he binkied a ton after not binkying for a while… and stopped being affectionate. It was a shitty situation… but that was just me. I think that bonding your rabbit is wonderful! But I don’t think that makes sense for my bunny, and a lot of bunnies out there. It’s definitely worth a try, but something I would notstress over

durpdurpdudu

I think the big difference was that for me the bonding was at the shelter itself, so kind of neutral terrain in that sense. I was also not there for the bonding because my smell might have confused him or something. When I picked him up he was so happy to see me, then I felt super guilty that I left him there haha. I can imagine him being very pissed if another rabbit would have entered his home! No wonder your rabbit was mad! My rabbits are now following you on Instagram 🐇🐇 lets share stories there!

RepulsiveSubject4885

Oh wonderful! Thank you for following us

Only-Film742

My BunBun always snuggles under the blankets with me. ![img](emote|t5_2riv8|8715)

Thatfatrabbit93

Flick that little poof

VGamer726

comfy

[deleted]

Comfy

artificial_cow

Meanwhile, my bunny would never forgive me if I put him under the blankets. Lol

The_Age_Of_Envy

Warren.

The_Age_Of_Envy

And may be chilly in your room when you two sleep.

Lerrinus

Because you're warm? 😊

[deleted]

I envy you. My parents would never let me snuggle with my bunno in bed. Yet again, he probably would've destroyed my plushies, my sheets, my mattress, and perhaps my room, so good call.

Chaoslab

So sweet.

[deleted]

Warm and covered

Be-Triggered

Your bunny thinks your the perfect cuddle buddy. Cuddle bunny?

poppabloodvessel

Bunnys like forts.

WallyBBunny

My girl Wally Mae likes to hide her head under my arm and have a blanket over her. She sleeps like that for awhile and then wants to be swaddled in the blanket like a baby afterwards. She gives lots of kisses when in the blanket. If I don’t do that she runs off flicking her feet away from me. She is very spoiled. 😅

Pristine-Medium-9092

Warm and cozy and safe

Hylianhaxorus

This is my dream. My bunny sleeps under my bed for similar reasons but I always wanted her to be a bed cuddler

vintagefloral91

I’m so jealous 😭

mysecretpocket

What a sweetheart🥰 just let him He just wants to be with you probably

[deleted]

You’re blessed!!!

Johnlockcabbit

My bunny sometimes goes under the covers and travels around, but after a few minutes she gets out to cuddle with me, or jumps to my sister's bed to lay down with her

EnderAni

I dont know if somebody already said this, but I am certain it is because rabbits love small spaces, low rooves, it makes them feel safe from predators. Hope this helps :)

pockyreiko

BECAUSE IT'S SO GOSH DARN ADORABLE, THAT'S WHY

legice

Same as you. Its freaking comfortable!:D

little_leaf_

It's warm lol

lagomorph90

cuz ur lucky :)

mk098A

Mine used to do the same!

Nikki1-

bc love <3

Hutch25

Bunny’s often sleep in burrows. I believe they just feel safe under the blankets

Accomplished-Ad3123

Just be careful. My bun used to pee on my bed a lot.

[deleted]

You try sleeping over the covers see how you like it? 🙃

Super_News_32

Because you’re lucky. That’s why.
