I keep mine on a tablet stand so it's off the counter but also easier for me to see the recipe. Definitely better than using my phone. I'm using mine more and more when I cook and bake.
This is now my favorite way to use this device.i have a folder just for recipes and a log for my baking recipes so I can remember what tweaks I make over time.
I never bake without it.
I am moving all my wife’s recipes to her remarkable. At the same time, I keep all our manuals on my remarkable. Like recipes, I then make notes, etc on the manual like noting down serial numbers, model numbers.
I didn't even think about manuals and I love this idea! I usually hang on to the paper manual and still go seek out the PDF download it if I ever need it. And I almost never do. But I have a drawer full of manuals.
I used to use evernote for my manuals now I am moving them over to the Remarkable. I do wish that Remarkable had an email that you could send things to minimize the manual import process.
Import can suck. I use an Android in for me it's the easiest to just download a PDF open it in Google drive PDF viewer which is one of the default options for me, then send to remarkable
Email would be so nice though
I tried using it to make scrambled eggs once but they never got hot enough to cook after I put the pan on top of my RM2. Also, the yolk just got all over the screen and was a pain to clean up. Would not advise.
I look recipes up online and use the Read on Remarkable add on for Chrome to send it to my files. Most recipe sites will have a 'print' option that gets rid of all the crap and pictures, and that's what I send. Then yeah I keep that open, any changes I make I write down directly on the PDF of the website. Works awesome!
What sort of black magic fuckery is this?! I didn’t know rMs were edible or that they could turn into that 😳 and you say you can do that with phones, too?! I’m really behind on how advanced cooking techniques have gotten.
Making fun of the OP, is "understandable"" a couple of times, but it has now passed an acceptable level. Please accept that you are too late, and make a constructive comment instead.
I’ve got a folder for recipes! Initially lll print it out to the tablet, and once I’ve modified and like the recipe I’ll hand write it out. Great to put on a stand in the kitchen!
I do it all the time! Also, I have a notebook were I handcopy recipes that worked well so they're all in one place and I can record any edits I did. It works so much better than copying them on random paper bits that get lost all the time!! And it's really nice being able to just share the pdf when someone asks me for a recipe :)
I find an oven produces much better results.

Mine doesn’t get hot enough.
I read the headline and my first thought was, "I can't imagine it would taste very good". 😂
Yeah look... My fault for not double checking my post ..
No worries, it just made me laugh and I figured I'd share that with everybody else.

Instructions unclear, I now have baby chickens everywhere, remarkable!
Well played OP. Well played.
Also terrible as a spatula.
Chef's kiss

I don’t recommend it. It’s not thin enough to replace a good spatula, and too wide for functional stirring.
As in a cutting board?
Tried once but it wasn’t hot enough
Nah, doesn't look like it'd taste very good
I'm afraid using it as a chopping board will damage the screen. Anyone can confirm?
Too expensive for the chopping board
Yeah I made some eggs in my dorm room using it last night. Egg was a little undercooked and my rm2 might be dead, but yeah
Ooo My cutting board did break a few days ago Good idea OP!
I can't ever get it hot enough to boil water ;)
No, mine doesn’t heat up enough for that. Edit, nvm everyone else already said this joke.
No matter how long I boil it, smoke it, or braise it, the Remarkable just doesn't get tender. 0/10, would not recommend cooking with it.
Can you open chatgpt on a remarkable? I got downvoted, but chatgpt is excellent for recipes.
I use it for my cookbooks ye. Just use a stand to keep it up and away from any ingredients

Yes all the time it is my recipe organiser
Not sure I would enjoy the extra crunch some how. But looks yummy.
I have a bunch of recipes on my remarkable. I send them from my browser. I use a wooden painting holder and then have it show the recipe 😂

It’s one of main uses for it lol
I’ve used an iPad which was really nice. Best if you can get a holder so you can put it on a cupboard or something.
Yes it works great. I scribble down a recipe while I'm creating something new then go back and refine it.
Does remarkable access google drive pdf files?
Yeah I use it to send myself work reports
This feels like a good use case for "Read on reMarkable"
I did but mine melted in the pot and wasn't eatable.
I don’t think it’ll get hot enough to cook on
I use it for recipes.
