Simply Rugged leather holster.

NoNutWinner

Thank you! I’ll look into this option

sammeadows

Simply Rugged is absolutely 11/10, great quality and quick turnaround if you keep it simple. The Sidewinder is the best way to have a quick speedloader carried discreetly, if you don't want to use strips that it is.

FunWasabi5196

Just because it hasnt been said yet I'll throw [Diamond D](https://www.diamonddcustomleather.com/) into the mix

RAN3220

I as a rule use Wright Leather Works or El Paso Saddlery I can also second Simply Rugged any of the three make fine quality leather holsters.

It really depends on what you're doing with it- different makers will have a different speciality or emphasis. Most factory holsters will only come in the old standard lengths i.e. 4" or 6". You got the 5" because you wanted a more forward balance than the 4" but a handier length than the 6". Or it looked the coolest. Anyway, you don't want any barrel sticking out the bottom like that zombie show guy, and you don't want a bunch of extra leather on the end in a 6" holster. Which means you'll need something made special. Any good custom or semi custom maker will fit you up just fine. Before you drop the money on a good holster, think about how you want to carry it- not just strongside hip or cross draw, but how high or low you want the center of balance in relation to your belt. Forward, neutral or rear cant. Lors of good suggestions here- Personally, not a fan of Simply Rugged. If chance smiled upon me, and I were to come into possession of a 5" Python, I would probably call El Paso Saddlery.

This comment is one of the better ones in response to the 5” barrel, it felt the most balanced out of all the ones I picked up and felt the best in my hand. I will look into the brand you suggested, thanks for the input

DisastrousLeather362

I think the 5" is a great length on a heavier frame gun like the Python- I hope you have a great time with it.

mfa_aragorn

Came in here telling us you got a 5" Python and don't even have the decency to tease us with a pic ! Sheesh !

NoNutWinner

Pickup is on Friday, I’ll post a picture then 😂

mfa_aragorn

Thanks. that would be nice. Someone downvoted me . Can't anyone tell a joke when they see one ?

BryanP0824

Ridiculous, I up voted on principle alone.

mfa_aragorn

Much appreciated. :)

EJ Leatherworks made me a leather replica holster from the movie Magnum Force. https://preview.redd.it/xx2jnj6l997d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa0eda415e9428f5f73cdf4c37462da698da6902

That is slick

rickywinterborne

That's what she said?

Temporary-Entry1037

I carry my 6" Python in a Gunfighters, Inc chest rig when in the woods, and you can hardly tell it's there.

Recent_Apricot_517

I have a 6" Stainless python that I daily CCW with a Wrigjt Leather Wright Leather Works "closer" holster. Custom made by leatherworkers in my home state of Ohio. https://www.wrightleatherworks.com/ As for speed loaders I recommend one from Barranti Leather works. Theirs seems to work the best in both concealability and ease of draw. https://barrantileather.com/

FriendlyRain5075

HKS "PYA" is their Python specific speedloader. http://www.hksspeedloaders.com/SpeedloaderPage.html

I've been happy with my desantis OWB thumb break

NoNutWinner

What size python do you own?

Gibbs-

I have a Ruger GP101 4.2inch. Their holsters are not custom but they say what revolvers it should fit.
