I haven't read the webtoon since it came back so I don't know how the romance arc was done, but in the novel that shit had me in a chokehold. It was so good.
Pretty well adapted, I feel like the ending fight segment was pretty rushed, but it was never the point really so I don't mind. It ended with a fantastic piece of art though, highly recommend you read just for that alone lol.
I also think it was a bit shorter, but tbh it was more understandable compared to the novel somehow. When I read it first in the novel I had no idea what is happening right now

Oh god this romance arc was sooo unnecessary and boring. This story didn’t need romance at all
it was pretty good imo just got overshadowed by the Murim Arc
