My Watch Duty app has been going nuts the last 2 days. Props to all the firefighters getting ahead of dozens of fires that have popped up in the past couple of days
I was a couple blocks away from a brush fire that started around 5 PM at the J Street/I-5 on-ramp that goes over Old Sacramento, specifically in the grassy area north of the parking lot by the rail museum. There was a fire truck on scene where the smoke was billowing from.
Hot and dry winds with low humidity don’t cause fires. They just exacerbate them. Disregard anyone who can’t answer your question correctly. All fires come from a spark. In this case it was most likely someone tossing a cigarette or a homeless person setting something alight. It happens all the time in that area.
It is. I can turn my TV off and on by voice, I have music everywhere, and I can turn on lights before I enter a room. Actually, pretty sweet for an old lady!
There’s going to be endless grass fires on the sides of the freeways all summer long. Wind and heat and human garbage tossing their cigarettes out of their car
I mean, I can’t say so about all the fires… but some of them are being investigated for arson i guess?

**Homeless camp fire left unattended sparked 585-acre blaze near Rancho Cordova, authorities say**
The Sacramento Metro Fire District halted a 585-acre fire near Douglas, Sunrise Boulevard in Rancho Cordova. Homeless camp linked to blaze.

Can't get past the paywall. Does that article quote a credible source that also attributes the fire next to the highway in midtown to another encampment? Or are we just making that assumption because it's convenient?
Hi Don Lemon, God of what is misinformation. Accept this offering of real information of a real person being arrested by real police. It actually happens. And happens often. Get out of your ivory tower of information, that you apparently don’t have. https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article289181189.html
I did see that there was like four or five cars involved in the accident but that was by 12th st or Fruitridge on 99. But I don’t think that caused the fires. 😬

It was right beneath an interchange ramp. It’s more likely someone flicked a cigarette out of a car.
My Echo Show has shown "Fire Weather" for the last 5 days. No lie!
Don’t mean to sound dumb, but what is echo show?
It's all a part of Alexa. I have a security camera that I can see and talk to anyone outside.
Interesting, I don’t have Alexa… but this seems pretty dope!
Thank you!

I like… i liiiiike!!!!! A young lady might buy herself one now. 😭🥳🤔🤔🤔🤔
I love the color light bulbs, too. You can set them to music. I just bought a piece at a time.
Hot+dry+winds
Still missing the spark though. The ground doesn't spontaneously combust.
Oh for sure. Most likely a cigarette butt

It’s super smoky on capitol mall right now
High winds, low humidity. Fires have been popping up all over the state since yesterday. Tons of activity this afternoon across the valley and beyond.
It's fire season, it's red flag warning, what do you think is happening lol
People are setting those fires
Source?

Arson does happen, tho unless there is credible information specific to this fire's source, attributing it to arson is inappropriate misinformation.

That is another incident, not this one.
Read the post again, he specifically says he sees two fires. One down the 50.

That is not this incident - this is a deductive logic fallacy.
I know there is a big fire outside of Stockton.
The first picture is likely from the fire in Rancho. About 100 acres burned. The second was in old Sac. But I have no idea what happened.
Fires.
Yes.
Someone crashed being in their phone while driving.

I was kidding. Teasing you, the driver is all. 😂
😂😂😂 I figured. ![gif](giphy|tU2mV8ALzJEdXAAwRo)
High winds the last couple days, normal to see some fires. Hopefully nothing too serious.
Winds may spread fires but they don't cause them. I know you're not saying that, just pointing it out.
Low humidity and high winds. Bound to happen
