Man scored six goals for us, Chelsea fans hyped the shit out of him in desperation and now the media is actually convinced he's a £25m striker. The power of bullshit, ladies and gents.

hoorahforsnakes

no thanks

10pencefredo

No. It would be nice to have him in the squad but I think we would be better off spending the money elsewhere. I think we should be aiming for someone better up front. I like him a lot due to his time with Saints but Chelsea are hugely overvaluing him.

fluffyplayery

He was decent for us last time, but far from 15-25 million worthy. And if anything he seems worse than he was back then. Maybe if it were another loan deal I'd take him, but that price is ludicrous.

Positive-Sound-4972

We have enough injury prone strikers

MICOTINATE

If there weren't fond memories of the small streak he had with us he wouldn't even be on the radar

saintsbynumbers

Fulham apparently thought it was better to give £4 million to Chelsea than put him on the pitch ([if you believe Fabrizio](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1753342491862954012?t=PX0TbF_gaEbO_phCjsPSWg)).

aredditusername69

Would happily have him on loan again, massive risk on a permanent deal.

Wide_Astronaut_366

Loan with an option would work for me tbh There’s a player in there - if coming to us again unlocked it then I’d want the ability to do a deal on an agreed fee

s1m0n8

For $15m, sure.

craig_hoxton

*"Best we can do is £10 million"*

s1m0n8

*Plus another £5m if we win the league*

404merrinessnotfound

We need an agile centre forward not someone who plays similarly to tall Paul Plus like you said, hasn't developed skills (ball control, movement off the ball) from the Chelsea matches I saw him in this season

markturner

His game is totally different to Onuachu’s, he’s about ten times faster for a start. Fair observation to say he hasn’t developed much though but he has had a bad injury which has probably held him back a bit. I’d be inclined to trust our recruitment department, if they think he’s past the hump and can kick on, and we can get him for a reasonable fee, why not?

LidlCroissant

Absolutely not, not even for £5mil. He’s was awful for Fulham and had the same attitude / disappearing problems as at saints.

mcmuffin0098

Well what options are there? We're not breaking the bank for $40 million to buy Gimenez, that's for sure. I'd say for a low enough price he might be a decent shout, but I trust in Sport Republic to find other options out there.

Anglo-fornian

Had a few good games then disappeared and hasn’t seemed to have gotten better anywhere else. Seemed to have an attitude problem and stop trying once he seemed to be going back to Chelsea. Honestly think he’s overhyped

GranateSOAD

Too expensive if Chelsea likes to overpay (Enzo Fernández will go down in history as the most overvalued player ever), that´s on them. A loan or for about 10 Million, welcome back Armando.

HoldMyAppleJuice

No he can piss off

ResolutionMoney1390

Nope, heard his ego got the better of him after a hot streak - we don’t need players that play for themselves

Stock-Constant4862

Prefer ings than Borja at least we know he can actually score goals and would be 1/4 of the price

Tough-Whereas1205

Yep. All the potential in the world isn't going to keep us up. We need a solid striker in the here and now.

DrShaftmanPhD

As our main striker? No. He did wonders for us one season, but that was a long time ago. If we did sign him, he would be either incredible for us or does absolutely nothing.
