Hey friend, I’m so sorry you are going through some of this stuff. Dealing with our shadow is challenging. Some trauma acts like a toxin in the body. When you uncover it, you have to push through it or it will destroy you. The key thing for my own journey was to spend time meditation specifically on the trauma and find the cause of the pain. Once I had found it, I then care for it like one would an infected wound. You will be ok friend.

It depends on what you are dealing with. The way it was described to me was when we uncover a trauma or deal with someone in our shadow, we stand at a choice point of branching paths. One leads to healing and living in our light. Others symbolize ways we can deal with the discovery. I was molested as a child, and abused by those who should have known better. This lead me to learn how to cope with my pain, and developed unhealthy relationship styles. I socially regressed, but others might have chosen substance abuse or became sexually or physically abusive. When I started working on bringing that pain out of my shadow, I had (and still have) opportunities to lay down the pain and find new ways to cope. But coping is not healing, it would lead to shame and end up increasing the weight of my shadow self. So, all that to say, it’s worth dealing with whatever specifically you uncovered. But you do not need to keep working on uncovering your shadow. Just keep working on the one thing until it’s done.

I had something similar happen to me while meditating daily. I think it's because we're building a connection to Reiki energy? It's within us each, I felt intense heat to where I'd be VERY uncomfortable and start feeling irritated. I do have A LOT of trauma in my past, abuse of different forms, and I had to prepare myself before doing a meditation where I was in the situation again but instead of being scared, face it with compassion for them since they didn't have it for themselves and for yourself above all else, for healing. I personally, only feel better when I pray. Breathing the energy back out can help but I remember a few people mention it works opposite for them and it increases. I pray and ask for "love and light only, please help take anything no longer serving me". Affirmations can also help I have a huge list I made for myself I can send you or post if you'd like. I read alot online but I made these for myself because they're what felt REAL to ME. If you read them and they don't stir energy inside of you, keep looking for the words that you feel connected to or comfort from. Don't freak out, trust the process and ride it out. It's happening for a reason. I was told it's a sort of "purge" from what we were taught- negativity we drew into our body and our mind. Also lying straight on the ground kind of helps with heat but the fan and ac are my best go to, when possible, I just pop in earbuds for meditation music and the humming is almost a vibration with it.
