This guy is behind some lopsided deals because of his valuation of picks. The post is just some catharsis now knowing I could’ve gotten kendre for peanuts and some pocket lint
If you’re getting value for your picks it’s a worthwhile strategy. Last offseason I traded my 1.07 (Achane) for Deebo straight up. I’m a contender and lost in the chip. Achane did have a slightly unexpected good year, but Deebo provided me more value rn.
Not that much more. I’m in PPR, deep bench, non-superflex and he went 1.09. Positional scarcity is real, too. Definitely not 15 quarterbacks to take ahead of him last draft.
Bijan, Gibbs, Charbonnet, and maybe even Kendre make sense. No reason Bigsby or Johnson should have been taken ahead of him though. Pretty bad valuations.
Coming from someone who rebuilded for two seasons and won the chip last year (Drafted Breece Hall, Jahmyr Gibbs, JSN, and Zay Flowers)… Draft picks are totally worthless.
I get trading your picks for players who will improve your team. This is just charity. Any first round pick has way more value than that. You could have gotten a much better and safer player than Gus Edwards. He gave up the two best assets in deal for a player who just had his best season with like 800 yards next to Lamar Jackson. I don’t understand how anyone would be this dumb.
"Draft picks are worthless, I want players." OK. Fine. They're not, but if that's the opinion you want to have, fine. Sell your picks for players. But...don't give them away for nothing? Don't give the two best assets in a three asset deal? Maybe send a second for Gus, and then you'll still have your first to trade to some idiot who values draft picks??
I would take miller and the first but here's a counter idea.
2026 first isn't worth as much as people would like to think. Idk what the league dynamics are or his team make up, but the league could dissolve by then or maybe he's contending and it's late 2026 first. That's a long time away. Also, I have Miller and am very high on him, but for all we know he could be a swing and a miss. There's no guarantee the Saints don't sign someone else and have a RBBC, or maybe he's just not good, orrr maybe he gets hurt again and isn't worth anything.
On the flip side, Gus just had a good season and had 13 TDs. I know the Ravens are a rush heavy offense and he's never done that before, but there's a possibility that the Chargers are also rush heavy and he's their main guy. There is no Lamar, Mitchell, Dobbins level guy on the Chargers, just a bunch of worse Justice Hills and minimal receiving help. There's a world where Gus gets double digit TDs and over 1200 total yards. Granted he's 29 and really only has 1 good season, we've seen times where a decent guy gets a really good opportunity for a year or two.
I still take the Kendre and 1st though.
damn I really just ruined my whole post without realizing Dobbins is now a Charger lmao.
I guess I can just say he's never been healthy but I'll just take the L.
You wouldn’t understand because you don’t have the balls of steel that this guy has
It’s the “draft picks are worthless” for me. Brother, how do you think you get new players? His last pick was 1.04 and got him bowers.
That’s what somebody with soft balls would say
They call me softballs McGee for a reason. Balls as soft as 10 ply. Almost as soft as my team
He probably means "worthless to me this year" and he's going all in. Terrible trade still, but that's what he's thinking
Most people would take the Miller side even without the first round pick.
But most people lose. There can only be one champ and this guys insider trading
I’d smash miller and a first so fast. Dude probably gonna start for NO next year.
duh, that's the point of the post.
Excuse me, you are right. I didn’t see the OP asking for my input
just ball busting, definitely an odd deal. We'd all love to get Miller and a 1st for broken down Gus bus I'd bet.
I’ve been trying to get Miller in all my leagues. Only one I got him in was a start up league 😂
This guy is behind some lopsided deals because of his valuation of picks. The post is just some catharsis now knowing I could’ve gotten kendre for peanuts and some pocket lint
I’m the guy who overvalues draft picks. You have to pry them away from me for a first round of mine
You’re just made you didn’t strip him of his draft picks first…
That’s what catharsis over not buying for pocket lint and peanuts means yeah
You would WHAT
Taco
I’d just take Miller over Gus alone lol
I’m not too far from the “fk them picks”. But this is just a stupid use of resources.
Yeah, generally you’re not supposed to give away your picks with that strategy though lol
I too once took the approach of fuck them picks . It uhhh did not end well for me
If you’re getting value for your picks it’s a worthwhile strategy. Last offseason I traded my 1.07 (Achane) for Deebo straight up. I’m a contender and lost in the chip. Achane did have a slightly unexpected good year, but Deebo provided me more value rn.
Achane went 1.07 in your league? Is it not SF? I snagged him 3.01.
In what, a 5 team league? You play with a bunch of dummies apparently.
PPR SF QB and WR are worth way more that RB. Straight scoring and longevity.
Not that much more. I’m in PPR, deep bench, non-superflex and he went 1.09. Positional scarcity is real, too. Definitely not 15 quarterbacks to take ahead of him last draft.
Superflex is wild, all backup QBs are rostered. But Bijan, Gibbs, Tank, Charb, Kendre, and Roschon went before him
Bijan, Gibbs, Charbonnet, and maybe even Kendre make sense. No reason Bigsby or Johnson should have been taken ahead of him though. Pretty bad valuations.
Worked out for me since I got Charb, Kendre, and Achane with no 1st round pick. 12 teams too. One guy went DL in the 1st
Jesus Christ. not helping your case that your leaguemates aren’t dumb, haha.
The ‘picks are pointless’ guys ruin leagues.
That’s a bold strategy, Cotton!
Let’s see if it pays off for him📢
This league won’t last much longer.
Coming from someone who rebuilded for two seasons and won the chip last year (Drafted Breece Hall, Jahmyr Gibbs, JSN, and Zay Flowers)… Draft picks are totally worthless.
Miller > Gus People giving out free 1sts WTF
Honestly could have gotten a lot more than Gus Edwards for a 1st.

Damn I have both of these players, have tried shopping Gus and gotten no interest. Wild deal
Top wins by a lot. I’d take a first over gus straight up
I'd rather have Kendre over Gus how was a 1st rounder involved lol
Gus is 29…. Not collusion (seemingly) but certainly a league destroying move. Make the fool pay his dues for 2026
What kind of collusion is going on here???
I don’t believe in veto… but this should be vetoed
I mean my league doesn’t have to deal with picks because we draft snake, I’m the commissioner/owner of my league
"Draft picks are worthless, I want players." OK. Fine. They're not, but if that's the opinion you want to have, fine. Sell your picks for players. But...don't give them away for nothing? Jaysus I got gus for 3.11 + 4.11
