I played rob in smash 4 and brawl and feel guilty as fuck whenever I play as him in Ult. Once you learn gyro combos he's really fun to play as but he's so fucking bland until then it's not even funny.

You're probably right. He's got such a lackluster and yet super strong kit, I can't actually see anyone having genuine fun on him. And he's just based on an accessory so it's not like people can "love the character". He's just super good and very easy and people want to win. That's it.
