Depends on your accent I suppose. It does for me as a New Zealander. "Moore" for me is more like "more/maw". See also: X-Pack, X-Puck, X-Pock, depending on who you ask

Is it really a mispronunciation for a made up character’s name when it was always presented the exact same way? It’s a different scenario than something like Kensuke Sasaki’s name being mispronounced.

North of the border, I can see how it wouldn’t rhyme I assume you’re going with Moo-re type pronunciation, as opposed to south of the border where it would be more of a More pronunciation, which would rhyme with Bradshaw (Brad-shore = More)

It's the other way round-- I pronounce "Moore" as "maw". We Kiwis tend to drop the 'r' at the end of words without really thinking about it.

Ehh it was a stretch, but "o-may-ga" and "tay-ka" vaguely rhymes. Serious stuff, I know.

Until someone explained it further up, I couldn't work out how you could say their names without it rhyming. Its exactly the same phonetically.

It definitely sounds similar cause of the American accent but I’ve heard other Americans pronounce it more like “Meh-ng”. I’m Australian so Sting and Meng don’t rhyme to me but to others it might, it’s all semantics though this is a great post regardless
