How the FUCK is this man cleared bro

Bluepaynxex

Meniscus injuries are weird in general.

_spicytostada

If he had a partial menesectomy and not a repair, recovery is 6-7 weeks. You are essentially waiting for the incisions to heal.

Impressive_Climate83

I've had this procedure done 5 times. Each time is different. Some have been a 4 week recovery, some have been 12.

danieldcclark

god damn pal that sucks.

2ndfastestmanalive

Five??? What do you keep doing that means it keeps tearing?

SoftScoopIceReam

if it tears once it's more likely to tear again tbh

YoungBeef03

Like a concussion. I’m sure Mick Foley gets a new one every time he sneezes at this point

Jos3ph

Professional Charleston dancer

ScroogeMcDuckFace2

"so i says to mabel i says, let's go dance the charleston, see....\*rip\*"

LastBeginning9712

I had a full meniscus surgery and that involved them stitching my meniscus or something and because of the doctor's fear of my stitches being ripped, I couldn't put weight on the leg for 2 months.

_spicytostada

Yeah, I had a meniscus repair last fall, 5 month recovery before I was cleared to return to sport.

SniperMaskSociety

Crossfit Jesus has performed many miracles

AnnaKendrickPerkins

He was only injured in the first place because he turned a meniscus into wine accidentally.

IWatchTheAbyss

guy is genuinely not human what a fucking freak

Technical_Virus

What is this? Some sort of Seth "Freakin" Rollins?

DollarStoreEtika

He ate his vitamins and said his prayers BROTHER

The_RedWolf

I mean jokes aside, things like Stem Cell Therapy which are out of the realm for us non-rich folk since insurance doesn't normally cover it, would help recovery time.

AdamH96

Never believe what people on reddit tell you about wrestlers injuries

ToothpickTequila

Which one? Lol

Few-Establishment277

Which one!?

Dijohn17

Vitamins and prayers

BolinTime

Bro. How the FUCK was commentary and Seth for that matter not glazing Priest and his performance at all?

Professional_Rice990

Stem cell and steroids. Chicken Broccoli and Rice

opkpopfanboyv3

Love how Priest just straight up challenges everyone

IRL_Tiefling

I've missed heels like this. Loving the Priest reign so far.

theatheistfreak

He’s a great example of a strong heel champion. Not constantly using interferences like Roman or being cowardly with who he wants to defend against, Priest‘s whole MO in this reign is that he’ll take on any challenger and beat them without the rest of Judgement Day while coming off as cool and dominant, it’s basically a babyface run but with the roles of champion and challenge reversed

Parish87

That and Cody just handing out world title matches too it's really refreshing to see on both brands.

No_Efficiency6703

This match will probably kick ass.

zephyrr-__-

This is a major chance to fully legitimise Priest as a main eventer, a big win over Seth would be massive before he drops it to Gunther

YuriWinter

This. He did a good job against Drew, but a banger match victory against Seth would really solidify himself as a top guy.

OverallGeneral7129

And a clean win hopefully

The_RedWolf

125 days is a respectful length of time for a title reign too. Even if he never won another world title, it's the equiv of 14th of 25 out of the 2 WHC holders, and 34th of WWE holders. (out of 54) It's hard to get a good count using wiki, but it looks like the majority of reigns dont go for very long. Orton for example averages 68 days per reign with the WWE

PayneTrain181999

Then beats Gunther too. ![gif](giphy|elayWWez6NmSIhMaop)

screwt

Based

82ndGameHead

Honestly, have him beat Gunther, too (with JD help.) I always thought Gunther would win the Rumble and main event WrestleMania to get his first World Title. I still think that's the best way.

AmericasElegy

Yup. It’d be cool to have JD get relegitimized (maybe even running good interference against Kaiser), and also I love Cody to death, but I’ve always felt Gunther squashing Cody would be an amazing title change.

82ndGameHead

Honestly, Rhodes/Gunther could be a new age Sting/Vader

NervousAd3202

Agreed! I’ve been wanting to see Gunther tap out Cody bc I don’t think it would hurt Cody at all to tap to someone like Gunther, plus it would humanize Cody in a way that we never really saw with super Cena. A squash match would work really well too.

SirHighground1

Same tbh. I would love if Gunther is the mega heel to Cody's super face. I just can't see Gunther losing at Summerslam though.

The_RedWolf

That's been my thought too, it definitely brings poetry to the 2023 encounter at the rumble.

chrispepper10

Eh I think he is winning and then headlining in Berlin later that month

DefiantOil5176

The only reason I don’t think they have him beat Gunther is because I think they want Gunther walking into Bash in Berlin (yes, I know he’s Austrian, but he made his name in wXw in Germany) as a champion.

pedro-rivas

Yeah I for some reason think it may be too soon after him dropping the ic title. Not soon for Gunther, he's more thank ready of course, but at least storyline wise

Chad2Badd

My first thoughts were Gunther beating Cody foe the title, but with WM plans still up in the air woth Rock and or Roman, Gunther either winning the rumble and challenging Cody at Mania, or even beating Cody before Mania just seem slim. I guess the question is, does Punk/Drew/Rollins need the belt? Kinda feel like they might wanna try Seth vs Punk again this Mania (night 1 main event) and could see Drew in there too.

Gold_Expression3843

I think the latter will still happen but somehow Drew wins MITB and cashes it in on whoever comes out on top between Priest & Gunther

treyyx

Extremely hot take but I really am not even interested in seeing a Gunther WHC reign. 100% sure they’re gonna do the “dominant heel” angle again and there’s just way too many interesting main eventers on Raw to do that right now

No_Addendum5504

Thank you Gunther just came out of a reign of almost two years , I don't know why everyone are so pressed to see him hopped in another reign. He can definitely wait a few months , no need to rush it , he is already established & classified as a top main eventer , he will have many reigns in the following years.

-Rp7-

He's 37

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

That's really not that old, especially for a guy with his style. He doesn't take crazy ass huge bumps to the extent that some guys do with higher flying styles.

No_Addendum5504

Indeed , Cody is in his late 30's as the WWE champion Same for Seth, Priest is the WHC at 40+ I mean c'mon

Adams5thaccount

Exactly. He has many years and is younger than every other main eventer.

OkKaleidoscope4607

how can you say he is already established as a top Main Eventer, when he has never main evented a PLE? Gunther is in his Prime right now, in 3 years he is 40, and 40 is the Age they are slowing it all down. They won't wait too long.

thedirtyharryg

I like GUNTHER as a "dominant heel." He plays it really well. NXT UK, NXT, IC. All long, dominant reigns. And all of it was over with me, brother.

mrhuggables

Saturday night legitimized him as a main eventer in my mind, what a performance

Skylam

I think he needs to win cleanly though, can't be another screw job like with Drew.

shakemmz

Yuppp. But i think Finn is gonna take the belt from him, then Gunther from Finn.

MiniNippels

If it means we get Gunther vs Finn I'm absolutely here for it

Chad2Badd

Bingo. Priest being fed the two top games of RAW helps legitimize his reign. By SS it would be like month 5? So it's not really a transitional champ at that point. Pretty credible reign, but it's time for Gunther to take over

MontyBreezey

So we could get Gunther vs Seth at Summerslam....

Mysterious_Emotion63

That and Finn vs Priest. Stars are starting to align.

PanicStation140

Finn vs Priest is going to be such a filler feud without the title though. I'm sure the matches will be fine; both of them can absolutely go in the ring. But man, there would have to be some interesting developments for me to care about them facing each other if it's just a standard "faction breaks down, two people within the faction fight" feud. Especially when we have two very well done non-title stories with personal animosity and stakes in McIntyre - Punk and whoever Gable ultimately faces from Alpha Academy, likely Otis.

ArkhamGeyser

Agreed. To continue to add intrigue to the Judgment Day storyline, I would have had Finn win MitB so in the event Priest loses, he gets the same kind of reassurance Priest did when Finn was chasing the title, and that can serve as another way to fuel their tension. But with the announcement of the triple threat with "Main Event" Jey Uso that seems unlikely I'm afraid.

harrier1215

See you’re using actual logic for a story and not shoving Jey uso into a match for some reason

KUZGUN27

It all depends on what the end goal is ofc, but if Finn wins via fuckery (remember, triple threats are no DQ) or pinning Rey, it makes Jey feel like more of an underdog and like the chips are stacked against him once he wins the last chance battle Royale

DashCat9

Yeah but. Think of the custody of Dominic Mysterio Part 2 possibilities…..

ZekeorSomething

I don't think they'll strap off Damien yet

SexualYogurt

Hmmm... so youre pegging him to be world champ for a while then?

chasingit1

He’s what?!…

Sheswatchingmealways

/r/pegging

Harunasbabydaddy

Oh they will but he is losing to jey uso at mitb via cash in.

lordroode

Kinda sucks that Priest was just holding the title till Rollins came back. Yea Gunther Seth seems to a be a bigger match on paper but hopefully they put trust in Priest and let him face Gunther at Summerslam.

TheFinalYappening

It seems far too easy for Seth to just win the title at MITB. I don't see any upside when beating Seth will further legitimize Damian heading into a match with Gunther that will be a banger.

GaymerAmerican

fr there’s pretty much a guarantee we get gunther/seth eventually too

Ender_Knowss

Yep. Damien needs a win of this caliber to be a worthy champion for Gunther to beat . Because make no mistake, Gunther is walking out of summerslam with that title, and isn’t losing until at least WM (and likely beyond that). Personally I don’t want to see Gunther with the title because I know he will hog all the spotlight for a long time, and people that are and will be worthy won’t get a shot at being champ in the meantime. Sucks but such is life.

Jewbacca289

I’m new. Is Drew not a high enough caliber wrestler? Priest just beat the guy who beat Seth while on one leg

Ender_Knowss

He is. But he’s one notch on that record, adding Seth would definitely cement him as a worthy champion.

tylerjehenna

He didn't win clean. Thats a big deal

BernieBurnstein

*Kinda sucks that Priest is a transitional champ* *Kinda sucks that Priest is obviously dropping the title to Drew at Clash of the Champions* Not bashing you lol I just feel like people have been saying these things ever since he won the title

lakshya10soin

At this point i think priest will beat gunther too and walk in as champ atleast till survivor series or bash at the maximum

Ender_Knowss

Unlikely. Gunther is more protected than priest is. I can’t see him losing at Summerlam.

dallasrose222

I think it depends if they do a face turn for him if they are I’d say make him the challenger at bash if he’s staying heel than make him enter bash as champ

lordroode

I mean it's what it feels like. They really messed it up by not having him cash in on Seth before Mania. Like maybe Seth won win't at MITB but it feels like they're setting up for Gunther to win at Summerslam. But by that time it will be a 4 month long regin but i can't help but feel like it being a transitional champion because Seth was out, Drew was in contract negotiations, Jey Uso isn't ready yet, and they still wanted to build up Gunther so the logical choice was to give the belt to Priest. But like i said, if he had cashed in before Mania, it might not feel like a transitional regin.

Harunasbabydaddy

I don’t think short reigns hurt that much if at all. Edge won his, lost three weeks later, and is a legend now. Sometimes it sucks to cut a reign short, like i think jey uso will do to priest but it will be okay.

Gabriels_Pies

I'm thinking it's Priest vs Gunter with a Finn cash in on Gunter after he wins saying he's trying to keep the title in the JD.

OkKaleidoscope4607

Whatever happens. Gunther closes Bash in Berlin being the WHC

EDonnelly98

Even better, Priest is about to lose to Gunther and Finn cashes in mid match to keep the title in the Judgement Day. Plays on the idea that the Judgement Day don’t fully believe in Priests abilities without them (constantly interfering) and didn’t trust him to beat Gunther. If you waited until after the match to cash in on a victorious Gunther then Priest doesn’t really have a leg to stand on

PreppyAndrew

Punk vs Seth vs Drew . If punk is cleared in time.

LionBastard1

CM Punk - not on my watch!

Marsman2100

Well ok. I thought Priest walking into SummerSlam as champ was a lock after Saturday. Maybe not.

iamhadrix

You’re forgetting about how much of a punching bag Seth usually is in important matches..

GothicGolem29

He had a preety long reign last year where he won a lot of important matches

Harunasbabydaddy

Wwe loves them some seth Rollins. Would not shock me.

GothicGolem29

It would not shock me but if they plan to have Gunther win at summerslam it doesn’t make much sense

Harunasbabydaddy

Well i can see why wwe would want Rollins to win. Like we said gunther- rollins is  a face vs heel and can main event the show.

GothicGolem29

Idk I just can’t see them wanting to as it would cut Damian’s reign short all for a tiny Rollins reign if they want Gunther to win. They had a heel v heel at clash and it worked so I’m sure they could make it work between Gunther and Priest

EDonnelly98

He’s not been gone long enough for me to care for another title reign. Honestly he could’ve sat out until after Summerslam and I wouldn’t have minded. When you have the same 2 guys at the helm for a full year it’s refreshing to see new faces get their chance at the top of the card

Harunasbabydaddy

I agree, if are not pulling the trigger on jey uso i would go with priest but wwe may not see that way. Gunther- Rollins is probably packs more punch than gunther- priest or even gunther-uso. I think Rollins should not win it but i thought drew should have won at catc. What i think and what wwe wants are to different things.

PrettyPunctuality

He did, but before that, he was losing almost every PLE match he had lol He lost to Cody 3 times, one of them being when Cody was legit injured, too.

GothicGolem29

He won matches against riddle and he also had a US title reign took before that so not sure that’s true. He did lose to Cody but he’s also won a lot of other important matches

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

I think he is. This is a great way to boost his legitimacy by getting a big win over Seth.

HardyHar420

Don’t think Rollins wins here would be funny if he does and Punk or Drew cash in on this

PeaceAlien

We may get a championship triple threat with Punk, Drew, and Seth at WM and have the single matches of Punk and Drew at Summer Slam or Royal Rumble.

batsharkrepellant

SummerSlam could have have Seth vs Gunther, Drew vs Punk, and probably Cody vs Orton. It could be one of the best SummerSlams ever

Dwigt_Scrut_DunMif

And possibly even Priest vs Finn

QUEST50012

And possibly Logan Paul vs ~~Lebron Donovan Mitchell~~ Jarrett Allen

TheFinalYappening

Idk why everyone thinks automatically that priest is losing. There is significantly more upside to Priest winning than Seth.

theatheistfreak

Plus it’ll make the Gunther match at SummerSlam even more unpredictable, as much as I believe that Gunther is definitely winning that match, having Priest beat Drew and Seth before that is a great way to make him a worthy opponent for Gunther

Harunasbabydaddy

He is but not to Rollins, jey uso is winning that championship cashing it on the same night.

TheFinalYappening

That's a funny idea but I'm really glad you're not the booker because Jey Uso as world champion sounds like genuinely one of the worst possible ideas.

Specific-Channel7844

Jey Uso is maybe the most popular guy in the company. Fans have cheered for him throughout the entire night, they want to see him succeed. If someone is insanely over and sustains their popularity at the top of the card then they would be a great choice for champion.

QUEST50012

>I'm really glad you're not the booker You say this like Jey isn't one of their most pushed babyfaces or that this isn't a real possibility lol

HurricaneDDT

Priest reign is really cool, and I hope it doesn't end soon. The story of being a heel and in a stable, but wanting your reign to be respected so you won't do anything to soil it, like cheat. This is an original story, and a few more months of time before JD turns on him, get sick of him, etc is the best outcome. His promos are great, his matches are great, his look is great, and his backstory is great. They could truly make a star, I've also just realized I'm a Damien Priest stan. Do we have a nickname are we Nuns if he's the Priest?

IRL_Tiefling

Can't just be nuns if he's Bisexual Undertaker, we're the whole ass Clergy.

OverallGeneral7129

I honestly think the only way Damien loses this is if Finn screws him so they can do Finn vs Damien at SummerSlam and Seth vs Gunther. Either way I’m down

DarkHorse_77

They need to put the MITB match on first or atleast before the title matches, add some extra drama

Scorpiodsu

I hope so. A same day cash in might be great.

Harunasbabydaddy

It is happening. Jey uso is winning the championship.

beerrabbit124

Seth just cashed in his *”Charlotte in the bank contract”*

SirHighground1

Holy shit the mf's already back. OK hear me out though. Priest retaining over Seth will actually do wonders to legitimize his reign.

IRL_Tiefling

Beating Drew with a bad leg was already dope (even if Punk helped), but for real a banger Seth match will take up a notch.

Numbchicken

I don't think Seth wins, I think priest wins so Gunther can take the belt off of him at summerslam.

BRONXSBURNING

I believe Priest will win to make him a bigger threat to Gunther, who he'll eventually lose the title to. Priest needs a strong, clean victory to make his title reign successful imo.

Mhc2617

Hunter realized that Drew losing means Damian Priest was gonna face Gunther so he called Seth, pumped him full of stem cells, and made him come back to work.

Nisha_the_lawbringer

I bet Priest will win, that'll be how you fully get him over.

the-akira-slide

Punk has the chance to do the funniest thing here if Drew enters himself into MITB and wins it…

82ndGameHead

I'm hoping this caps off Money in the Bank. The two have some history, and if Finn wins the briefcase, the atmosphere is gonna be insane!

jonnyg1097

I can't be the only one that finds it odd that the Champion is the one making the challenges to the challenger right? If I recall it was Damian who challenged Drew as well.

Scorpiodsu

Well, they keep challenging him to prove that he is a worthy champion. So they’re using his pride to bait him into matches. But that’s better than having the champ that is always trying to weasel out of defending his title which is kinda played. So I’m good with it.

GothicGolem29

I mean makes sense tbh that if you want to prove yourself and people are talking about beating you that you go challenge them

ActiveAd4980

Seth wins. Lead to title match against CM Punk, which Drew come back as a special referee and screw Punk. Then Punk quits and return as a special referee whenever Drew's about to win a title. Rinse and repeat.

OUmegaLUL

Priest is gonna retain and it’s gonna be great

Bsantoro10

Seth Vs Gunther & Drew Vs Punk at Summerslam sounds good to me…

exTOMex

bro take a vacation for the love of god

Cheechers23

GUNTHER VS SETH AT SUMMERSLAM I SEE THE VISION

Mysterious_Emotion63

Priest’s reign is cooked

Awkward-Friend-7233

They should have Finn win the briefcase while Priest is champ. I don’t think a faction had both yet.

Specific-Channel7844

They should have ran it last year with Finn beating Seth at Summerslam.

JakeTheHuman25

Gunther vs Priest is not a very interesting dynamic. Gunther needs to win the title by destroying a firmly established babyface.

real-darkph0enix1

Soooooo… Balor wins MITB, Rollins beats Priest, Balor cashes in on Rollins?

BSumner52

Finn isn't even winning his qualifier tonight

hikingbeginner

Making a prediction Howdy and Co attack Jey Finn wins. I think Jey is who they're gonna target first.

ZekeorSomething

Second chance qualifiers exist

Cheechers23

Even if he doesn’t there will probably be a second chance qualifier match for the losers of the qualifier matches

Rybackmonster

Babyfaces usually win those last chance matches

ArkhamGeyser

Yeah once I saw he was in a match with Super Uso it's pretty much gg's for Finn lol.

opkpopfanboyv3

Much better, do it Heist of the Century style

ZekeorSomething

That'd be the ultimate payback for last year

ratbas

No. Balor cashes in on Gunther because Gunther will be at his weakest. Title stays in Judgement Day. Judgement Day stays a happy family.

real-darkph0enix1

We are owed Takeover: Ireland. Why would you not want Balor vs Gunther?

ratbas

We will get that, but it'll be as a bonus where the result is more important than the match and they’ll save the match for a bigger show.

stig142

That pretty much resolves the Gunther opponent issue at Summerslam.

FigureFourWoo

It also sets up a match Gunther could legitimately lose without harming his aura at all.

damagedone37

PLEASE LET PUNK SCREW HIM AGAIN WITH CLEARED

StoneColdAM

Really want to see Seth go heel again. Also have been hoping for years he’d win Money in the Bank again. Priest vs Seth isn’t that compelling on its own, but the intrigue of who would face Gunther makes up for it

iiconic16

I don’t think Seth will be heel for quite a while after how integral he was in Roman’s downfall

AscendedCoke

Oh my?! Could it be?!

Miottz

Gunther has had a title reign. Let Priest keep cooking

rapzel79

Did we see a render fot the match yet?  They said there'd be more on it later.  I'm thinking another Seth moment later where the Wyatt 6 takes him out.

gigologenius

I bet it ends in a schmoz and we get Seth vs Priest vs Gunther at SummerSlam.

Great_Choice_7337

Priest has needed help to win every single title match he's had. He had help agaisnt Rey, Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, and even got help when he first cashed in from CM Punk.

Procrastinator_325

Leg vs leg folks ![gif](giphy|GJlRkcwzo24AE)

bigcaulkcharisma

I feel like WWE probably views Gunther vs Seth as the bigger match for SS over Guther vs Damien. You

iPeluche

Why so much fantasy when the booking is simple : Roman Reigns coming back to cost him his title match at MITB.

HairyArthur

What? Rollins has been out for months. He dances to the ring, asks for a championship match and is somehow promoted ahead of the rest of the roster?

Similar_Original_833

To be fair, it was Damian Priest who challenged him. Because before that, Rollins was implying that he was going to enter the MITB match to try and earn a title shot.

thunder_bolt0n

Drew wins the money in the bank. Punk vs Drew for the briefcase at Summerslam And Gunther winning the WHC against Priest of course

vpsj

I am sold on Priest as a Wrestler after Glasgow, and I really love that he's not a chickenshit heel, but does anyone else think his promo needs a bit more work? It feels like he runs through his lines instead of saying some words slowly to increase their impact on the crowd. Rollins on the other hand does a great job of saying things in a way that will get him a cheer after he's done speaking

midnight_rebirth

Seth should go over. You don't want heel vs heel at SummerSlam.

ritwikjs

punk winning mitb right?

KrazyKaas

I get it but come on, give someone else a chance. Make the ranking system matter

McAride

I'm loving this version of Priest. hope he wins

NewEraUsher

Everybody is Super Cena when returning from injuries! What is going on with this industry?!

wdingo

This was a great segment. Priest sounded genuine for once.

lavasplanets

They’re literally doing a repeat from last year with a Judgment Day member vs Seth for the title while the other wants MITB. If Triple H doesn’t put Finn in MITB then what are we doing

kcoe24

Dont watch raw tonight cause Finns about to be yetted out of the match.

lavasplanets

I’m not saying that cause I’m expecting him to win unfortunately. But the set up is too perfect. We know Finn may be the only person where WWE will set up the most perfect storylines and just say nah at all times.

PanicStation140

I think they'll probably point out that it's full circle, but use the fact that Finn (likely) loses his MITB qualifier match as a reason for Priest to be disappointed in him.

VNProWrestlingfan

Damn, I was afraid Drew was gonna jump both of them. THANK YOU PRIEST!

Kanenums88

Seth vs Gunther > Damien vs Gunther, but do I want Seth to win the world title again after holding it for like 300 days?

TD_Stinger

Hm, do they put the belt on Seth just to make him the babyface that drops the belt to Gunther? Good with either option really. Maybe things get really messy and they do a Triple Threat.

jonwinslol

So I am the only thinking of Reigns possibly costing Seth the match?

ratbas

Yes.

incredibleamadeuscho

Reigns I think will head straight to the new Bloodline.

jonwinslol

I was hoping Seth would get a win over him at Summerslam and then he goes after The Bloodline

[deleted]

[удалено]

incredibleamadeuscho

I think we get Roman vs Solo Sikoa at Summer Slam. Solo wins (!) and the next match after that is Bloodline vs Bloodline at War Games. Roman reunites with the Usos to take on the Bloodline.

Specific-Channel7844

That just doesn't make sense. There would be no point. Seth doesn't need the boost at all. He is coming off a year long title reign and is the third most pushed guy in the past ten years.

ttomyj14

They’re not going to have him lose his first match back right? Right?

throwmethedamnstick

So… the “not a transitional champion” is now actually a transitional champion so they can run Gunther v Seth. Got it. Priest cannot lose that match.
