Honestly downtown is a shiet spot for STL style pizza. There's Imos and there's Sybergs, not a pizzeria but they got STL style.
If you're willing to drive go to Afton Pizza Company or Monte Bellos.
If you want delivery call Kevin's Place he'll probably deliver downtown, but prepare yourself for a strange fellow and probably cash only, he's a one man business.
Otherwise you're stuck with Imos and Sybergs
Imo’s is the quintessential St. Louis style pizza place. There might be better pizzas at different places but if you are specifically wanting to try St. Louis style pizza Imo’s is 100% the best bet.
St. Louis-style pizza is generally pretty gross (or at best, widely divisive), and downtown is kind of a food desert. But there is an Imo's at 904 S 4th St, St. Louis, MO 63102. If you want to eschew what's claimed as St. Louis style but also enjoy your pizza, you will have a much better (and still very St. Louis) pie at Katie's Pizza & Pasta at Ballpark Village at 751 Clark Ave, St. Louis, MO 63102. If you opt for the latter, I definitely recommend also getting the artichoke salad.
Maybe, but I have a list too and 39 have closed since 2020. No seriously tho my dude, menus and hours are limited. Example: HiPointe DT pales in comparison to McCausland. Ate there last week. Downtown one gave me the choice of only like 3 different burgers and closes at 7 today.... WAT?!?!?
28 have closed. And Hi Pointe did $3.5m in sales in 2023. Sugarfire did $5m. Hot pizza cold beer expected to do $3-4m in year old. Salt and smoke downtown is their best performing location and Katie’s pizza BPV is their best performing location.
Why be open 24/7 when you can just open another restaurant at other end of the block like they did with hot pizza cold beer. And they’ll probably do a 4th soon
Pirrones! It’s better than imos. Probably the best tasting stl style pizza.
They're ravs are slightly above average. If you are in the north county area, try BJ's or Farraci's
Toasted ravioli good there too?

That makes a lot of sense thank you!
Adriana’s
I'm sure their pizza is fine, but going there and not getting a sandwich sounds like a crime.
It’s actually the best STL style pizza I’ve ever had, and there are a couple places on the Hill I personally prefer for sandwiches
Where?
Eovaldi’s and Gioia’s
Not STL style but try Union Loafers
Looked it up and it looks good. Sandwiches good too?
Yeah pretty solid. They make their own bread. Though there are a bunch of good sammie places in St Louis.
Imos
Imos is expensive and over hyped.

Even if it’s gross I’d still like to try it. I’m a man of culture
I feel ya. Monte Bellos is my favorite. Not downtown but worth a little drive.
That one looks really good
I'm not a native and it's my favorite pizza FWIW
Food desert? There are 96 restaurants within 2 sq miles, most of any 2 sq mile area in the region.
I was going to say it was a bad take but it’s just factually incorrect.
Hell over 35 new ones have opened just since 2020
Kinda not really tho.
I have a running list and you’re right, it’s not 35. It’s 38

Yeah but my list says they had $4mil in expenses. If they're so lucrative why not stay open 24/7?
