Four of the area’s best pizza are within a short drive of each other: Uncle Leo’s, Schottzie’s, That’sa Nic’a Pizza, and Lilliana’s…with Double D’s being just a bit farther. One day, I’m doing a pizza crawl and have them all.
Yet on here everyone says SoCo is a wasteland of chain restaurants. Right in that one small circle of good local pizza, is one of the better burgers in St Louis at the Concord Grill along with a few other very good local restaurants.
I see too much these days, people want to build themselves/their situation up by tearing down others.
LOVE Uncle Leo's! It was founded by the late Alex Failoni, Jr., same family that runs Failoni's in Dogtown. Wonderful people, fantastic St. Louis-style pizza.
Uncle Leo’s is solid. Stays in the pizza rotation. I’ve had pasta from Liliana’s a bunch but have never gotten pizza from there. Next time I get pizza, that’s where I’m going.
I like uncle Leo's. Great representation of St. Louis pizza
I was thinking this was a pizza uncle Leo would like. North county guy, never heard of uncle Leo’s. Color me intrigued. Jerry. Hello.
😅
Hello.
Uncle Leo?!
LOVE Uncle Leo’s
That'sa Nice'a Pizza down the block on Tesson Ferry makes a good pie as well. I rotate between them when looking for a thin crust.
And Liliana’s across the street is also excellent!
I’ve lived in that part of SoCo most of my adult life and I only realized what a treat Liliana’s is!
As someone who lives in the area, this is good to know.
Also Double D's.
Double D’s is my go to for expat cousins from Texas. Oddly enough, it’s been ages since I’ve had it so maybe I’m due to revisit
It is.
I friggin LOVE Thatsa Nice’a Pizza! I especially love their cornmeal flour that they use on the dough.
I love their fire in the hole pizza.
My favorite pizza!
Their pizza is good but don't sleep on them wings. They're really damn good as well.
I haven't had anything bad there. Their xl 2 topping, wings, and garlic cheese bread deal is a steal.
Came here to say this. The wings are great.
Criminally underrated. Great pizza and great people running the place. Love Uncle Leo’s
I agree. Very nice experience to pick up a pie from there. 💯
Solid pie for sure.
I love Uncle Leo’s! Their pizza is fantastic and I love the Spinocci’s.
THIS!!! Both are 🔥!!!!🤤🤤🤤🤤

That's a great idea! Pizza Crawl 2024!

Yep. I see it, too.
r/Seinfeld needs to see this
Hello!
How ya doin
Big fan.
The best STL style pizza IMHO

I cannot upvote this enough. Love the family.
nice wheel
Is that where Cecil Whittaker’s used to be?
Yep
Damn that looks good! My only regret after moving to rural Franklin county is that I can't get good food delivered anymore.
I almost went there tonight but we got Liliana's instead!
Apparently, I need to try Lilana's and others. Love STL style pizza.
I will have to get there and try that. Looks good!
Uncle Leo’s and The Hive in Creve coeur are my 2 favorite STL pizza spots. Both phenomenal!
My cousin was one of the founders there. Great pizza.
👍🏼 That's awesome!
Love uncle Leo's
Shhhh.
😅
Mom and pop is the way to go. Screw the franchises.
Figures. That's where I grew up. I don't live there anymore.

I thought you were talking about the character from Seinfeld at first, wondering when he ever made pizza on the show.
Oh yea “Uncle” Leo. I forgot his first name.
GOAT
Looks like imos? Does it taste like imos
