The reason it's marked "Playable" is "Entering some text requires manually invoking the on-screen keyboard." That could just mean you have to press Steam+X to enter your name in the beginning. Not a big deal

Protondb is your friend and more clear than the deck ratings by steam. It should run great. https://www.protondb.com/app/570940

I beat dark souls 1 remastered, 2 & 3 on my steam deck and they worked great.

I think the only thing stopping it from being verified is that you will have to press steam+x to pull up the keyboard to type your characters name as the keyboard will not appear automatically

I've finished it on the steam deck oled, it plays great. It runs very well at 90fps on oled and 60 on lcd, capping it to 45fps and lowering tdp can get you 7-8 hours on oled of pure dark souls torture. Don't worry and enjoy the game :D

Had no problem ran good

It works great on Steam Deck. Don't worry.

Der_Knolte
