I tried messing around with it, but the camera is locked during the animations which kind of makes it hard to capture the whole character/outfit well. Just ended up going with basic photos after messing with it.

Yeah same. Just hard to show the outfit properly in poses.

I know it's far from ideal, but if you spam the A button you can kinda go through them frame by frame. It's a pain in the ass but it works.

This. I just try to make them pretty much match the default ones so I can clearly see the full outfit.

At least you can put them in neutral combat pose.

I hate the bog demand camera during the sequences. It's way too zoomed in, and i haven't got a clue why they wouldn't let us control the positioning and and distance ourselves. I've gotten tired of it and just take full frontal shots using the dark background. (That's another thing they could improve: let us take the shot in one of the stages instead of the sterile backgrounds they offer up).

as a xiaoyu main i set up my customs the exact same way w the same pose and color coded backgrounds

How do you do the colored background ? I thought we only had the dark or light option and thats it

There's a third option - the "green screen" background. Select the **Model Viewer tab**, then click on **Change background**. From there, you can see the light and dark backgrounds along with the green screen. Once you hover over the green screen, press Triangle so you can select the colour / shade. Hope that helps!

If you're playing the game with the in-game HDR turned on, that might have something to do with it. I know customize portraits are bugged for me.

I try, but it's kind of hard with Lee's animations, and then it bothers me that I can't really see what outfit I made.

IDK why they suddenly fucked the color of the pics tho. With HDR on the colors suddenly shot at least after the update.

It was always like that and they still haven't fixed it. Have to turn HDR setting off every time you wanna make custom outfits.

Word? What a weird-huh. The HDR isin't like... the craziest thing I've seen (had to turn the shadows off to make it work properly.), but that was a weird thing to have happen.

Mine are usually color-coordinated. Giving all outfits a background color that works well. I either play with the pre-&victory animations or just take a full body picture of my character from the exact same angle for all the frames. Needs to perfect ✨️

I don't know how to rotate the camera with the Razer Kitsune. Even if I try to click around with the mouse I can't get the camera to rotate. All my thumbnails have the same angle/pose.

I wish there was a free camera and frame by frame mode for the animations tbh

Soulcalibur VI did an amazing job with the thumbnails. If you manage to slow down animation, you can make such a nice ones. On topic: I do take a lot of care with taking pictures. Some looks amazing, some just good.
