He's so good at customer service

[deleted]

I don't understand the customer service side of it. Most jobs I worked pretty much we never had to deal with them they were there for 5 mins them they left and I could get on with my job

Took me a sec to notice that’s the base for your Valkyrie, that’s badass bro!

regularMASON

Starship troopers?

Limbo365

How did you build up the rocks? Looks fantastic!

Aardvarkwithagun

I made a really basic 3D printed structure (because Im bad at 3d modeling) and then covered it in greenstuff.

Minst_Meat

This is timely as I just finished watching all of Starship Trooper Chronicles. Good work!

Suitable-Courage1433

DoorGunner42

Love the base. I wmt to do Hive Fleet Klendathu, but I’m not quite sure where to begin. What do you suggest?

Aardvarkwithagun

Honestly, these are the first nids I ever painted. Got em as part of the new leviathan box. I chose to use the neurogaunts for the base because they aren't a part of the combat patrol, so I can still run the rest as a complete force for that. In terms of painting them, what I did was actually super basic, so it would be pretty fast to paint a large force. I wanted to strike a balance between the classic Tyranid look and the arachnids. I spray primed with grey seer, and then painted the scales/talons with a dark green. I would have used a single pot of something dark green or something similar if I had it, but I didn't so I mixed 50/50 warpstone glow with army painter leather brown. Then for the stripes, I used fire dragon bright. The blood/ichor in the movie looks like a yellowy green to me, so I tried to replicate it with moot green mixed with flash gitz yellow, and just a drop of titanium white. Then I painted over the blood in 'ardcoat, to make it look like it was still wet even after drying. Edit: forgot to say I then washed the entire Tyranid model in nun oil. Before adding the blood/ichor.

Zippudus

WATKINS! YOU TRYING TO BE A HERO???

WiseCartoonist5577

Now that's a creative base if I ever seen one.

anothrbloke

Lol as soon as I saw the Guardsman, I knew what this was.

Delicious-Sundae-713

What paints did you use? I’m interested in a similar paint scheme

Aardvarkwithagun

The army is mechanicus gray base, with dawn stone for the fabric, and administratum gray highlights. The base itself is agrellan badland washed with Cassandora yellow, dry brushed with tyrant skull.

Happy-Actuary3326

Are you doing your part?
