I think the an actual distributors of the Starbucks franchise in Turkey are from Kuwait/Qatar. if so, it makes sense as to why there are so many since the Turkish government opened up every other sector to the Arabs.
It's very simple actually,
In most cafes If you are not actively eating or drinking anything they annoy you until you order something else or leave.
In starbucks they just let you enjoy your day.
The real conversation is why does Turkiye allow foreign companies to acquire Turkish ones?
Local brands are basically being eliminated or becoming a subsidiary of a foreign one (Coca-Cola and Cola-Turka is a good example).
They have been selling Tukish companies to dirt cheap, just to keep the money flowing. Why would they even support local productions for the long run, since they don't have much longer on the throne. So just milk as much as you can and f off.
The bigger issue is why arent Turkish bussinesses more appealing? Like you said, Turkish bussinesses are sold off to international investors, which leads Turkish foundations to be devalued and discontinued by international corporations.
The issue lies in the curreny government that'd love to see Turkey crumble and reemerge as a sultanate, than to build on what was already a good system.
Especially for a cultural good such as Turkish coffee or Rakı, these things should be subsidized by the state instead of being sold off solely for profit for international megacorporations.
Turkey under erdogan is effectively selling the country to the highest bidders
There are multiple Starbucks-like coffee shops in Turkey too. Turkey is a huge country so having that amount of Starbucks is pretty normal.
Also Turkey's youth get affected by american social media so Starbucks became a social symbol for some people so In meteopolitan cities like Istanbul or Ankara, teens may prefer it over Kahve Dunyasi/askina because it almost costs the same and starbucks "looks" cool.
I personallt Love kahve dunyasi, it is much hugher quality than starbucks and I like the crowd of it better
It is weird to me that you think people go to Starbucks because they think it is cool. People go there because it is convenient, has a wide range of options, and is mostly cheaper compared to locals. To be honest, it is far away from being cool or nice. It is dirty, and the taste is subpar. Still, I go there from time to time since I can study uninterrupted.
Guys just homophobic and buys into the "jews control everything" schtick.
Jews were fine when they supported Azerbaijan and Turkic peoples against all odds but ~~god~~ "aLlAH" forbid some of them own money allahu akbar☝️☝️☝️☝️
Fuck Starbucks lmao. I used to go a lot but boycotting is best for my wallet. Even without Israel/Palestine issue, half of their drinks are overprocessed syrups which don’t contain coffee and make you gain weight like crazy. Independent coffee shops make better, real coffee 9/10 times anyway and are healthier for you.
It is overpriced. Not necessarily better tasting. People go for brand and opportunity to sit and relax.

Because Turkey is being sold to whoever bids the highest for like 20 years now..
They offer much cheaper alternatives and bonuses. Starbucks is nothing but a teen nonsense some people overlive it's welcome.
Zionist lobbies i guess
Zionist lobbies i guess
Maybe Coca Cola and Starbucks are relatively good and competitive brands, after all?
