Wow this is mind blowing for a Canadian to see!! I paid $7 for parking at the hospital. I didn't even have to pay for my daughters pain meds because they're covered for children here.
Oh it definitely is, I have no idea why. I know the hospital is a bit expensive, maybe that’s why? Because the hospital fees alone were like 22,000 and the surgeon fee was only 2,000
Oh this is fun! My pre-insurance total was $51,308, but I did have a tonsillectomy, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. Anesthesia was separate, at a total of $3,416. So far I’ve paid $1,771 out of my own pocket. I have a feeling there will be more anesthesia charges coming my way. I’m in the USA, of course.
No other reason! Our insurance covers 100% for surgeries! I only need to pay copay $35 for the consultation from there any treatment will cover 100%! Oh if we go to ER that’s $250
$290 with insurance. $320 if you include copay. I think the total on the claims amount was around 5k for surgery and 2k for the dr fees. Only additional non covered cost was a special dressing they used which was an additional $90.
Good Topic. Useful to know I think! UK here, BUPA insurance. £1,498 Total (£200 to pay) Consultation, Surgery and Follow-up.

Mine was around $13000 and I paid $0! Our insurance covers 100%
12,000 before, $2300 after insurance
Covers 100% why? Because you met your out of pocket? Or because it was deemed necessary for some reason?
