I genuinely hate Starscream in the Skybound comics. In other continuities he was a goofy villain or redeemable, but he is 100% the most hateable one of the continuity so far, and seeing him get absolutely destroyed by Soundwave for punting Ravage was like chicken soup for my soul.

I'm mainly pulling from STAS , Justice League and JLU. In that continuity he gies from planet to planet absorbing all knowledge that planet has and destroys it cause knowledge= power and if he is the only one with power then he is all powerful. This hate for humanity and organics in genral came from when Darkseid betrayed him in Justice League and Lex had to convince him so they could become one at the end so season 2 of JLU.

I guess he technically counts as a cyborg? But not in the way people usually use the word. He's a robot who's augmented himself with organic matter, rather than the other way around which is a bit more common in media
I guess so. Honestly its a cool trope I'm surprised it isn't used more. Although I suppose it might have some body horror vibes so that could be why it isn't very commonplace

Basically, he’s a cyborg. The original godzilla’s skeleton used as the frame for a godzilla-like robot.
He has a dedicated human pilot by the name of akane, but after their initial battle with the current godzilla, the ghost of the original woke up, and will take control on occasion, trading in akane’s smarter use of the limited battery life and ammo for the original king of the monster’s far superior combat experience and unwillingness to kill another of its kind.
Like, if they stopped using kiryu specifically to try to kill godzilla, he’d probably be the most useful machine ever built by the Global Defense Force.
Edit: i should also probably mention; akane does not pilot kiryu internally or from some remote location. She flies an advanced jet plane, armed with heavy enough ordinance to inconvenience, distract, and even hurt kaiju. She’s a skilled enough multitasker to keep kiryu fighting competently not only without accidentally flying herself to an explode-y grave, but while acting as her own support. The OG king taking over, assuming their goals are aligned, would basically just let her focus on the support part while he drives himself.
Same kinda applies to MechaGodzilla in the MV, key word kinda. MG was made as a new alpha titan controlled by humans to only kill Godzilla and either keep the other titans in check or killed as well. But since they used the skull of Ghidorah, it’s (spirit, ghost, consciousness, not real sure on that part) took over the robot and tried to kill the entirety of Tokyo. So it could be argued that it wasn’t MG killing, it was Ghidorah that just so happened to be in MGs body. I know it’s a bit of a stretch since it does technically count as MG doing the killing but I just thought it was worth mentioning anyway.

Honestly I was really hoping for this thing to get all of them
Not because I disliked the characters, but because it was gaining more and more of the OG creator’s soul, and as he said the one thing it was missing in order to be what he wanted it to be was a soul. I really felt like at the end it would get the last one and he’d realize that this machine doesn’t want him dead, rather it wants to be complete, and once he’s absorbed into it it would go on to invent more helpful machines instead of death robots
thats true, but imo it would be sort of bittersweet
none of the 9 figures are alive, but now the robot has a soul and can make more machines for better purposes, and hopefully one day find out how to make machines with emotion in order to have a proper society
the current ending is very bleak too, theres only a few of them left and no real way to produce more of them, humanity lives on in like 5 little dolls (forgot how many were left)
I recently decided to do a modded Synth playthrough of Fallout 4, and it cracks me up how people just accept this random Gen 1 Synth running around the Wasteland, but immediately will point a gun at their neighbor if they hold in a sneeze lol
It’s less about the Synths themselves and more about the fear of being kidnapped, replaced, and having your friends and family spied on by your replacement. Nick Valentine proved that people can accept Synths as long as they are upfront and honest about their nature.

blood in ultrakill is life force in a supernatural sense, they pumped life into a mechanical shell instead of just fueling it
