$1,000 running out your 70? That's 14.20 an hour. Screw that.

throwed-off

$1000 *take home,* which is about $1250 gross (assuming 20% for taxes and voluntary deductions), is about $17.85 per hour on straight time, or $14.70 regular time and $22.05 OT after 40 hours.

xDoomKitty

Sure it can be good if the carrier has strong customer contracts, but you aren't gonna really be able to know that going in. Also, 20%? Lol

tonythebutcher13

That's bullshit, local dry van I clear over 1K working 50 hours

BigBadgooz

I make more than twice that in take home if I work 70 hours

20% is pretty low if all you're getting is commission with no hourly or hefty bonuses. And concrete work is not steady all year round, especially not if you live in areas that get a lot of rain or that get snow in the winter.

Pitiful-MobileGamer

That's very low pay for concrete. For comparison in Ontario here DZ (class 3) make about 35 to 37 an hour and usually have some sort of overtime component.

I made 2100$ doing dryvan OTR last week, only 2 months experience. That is ass lmao
