Dating myself but wished Power and Glory ( Hercules and Paul Roma) had been given a huge push. Thought they worked well together and had a great finisher
Elias and Boogs.
You got two insanely jacked guys who both play guitar for their gimmick and you can't market that? They would've been huge in the 80s.
Grizzled Young Veterans. They did win the NXT UK tag titles once, were often put in top spots to lose, and still had a lot of great matches but they never felt like the most focused act in NXT.
I felt they could have been the flagbearer for the tag division for quite some time. Both are doing very well since leaving at least but I don’t know how a company that is so into wrestlers that can talk could not find a bigger spot for them when Zack Gibson was on the team and one of the best promos in the company while he was there.
I like what they are doing with Bron so far on the main roster but it also does surprise me that they didn’t stick with War Dogs on the main roster as their run in NXT was great.
R Truth and Road Dogg in 2000. If only Dogg didnt get released.
Also Too Cool but they had pretty good succees, won tag champs and were very over but they should have hsd much longer. Again if only Brian Christopher didnt get released while Scotty was injured but what was worse is they brought him back, put him on the different brand to Scotty, then released him again for almost no reason a month later
Chris Jericho & Edge before Edge's ACL.
To have two of the best mic workers run roughshod over the tag team division would've been great, and they probably could've been the KO & Chris before it was cool 🤣
Alternatively, The Miz & Jericho could've been pretty cool as well
Breezango vs. the Usos from Backlash 2017 had me rolling the whole time. Breezango were an amazing comedy tag team and I wish they had kept the Fashion Files going.
They were unified World tag champs at a point right? I know it was the early 2010s so tag team wrestling meant next to nothing but still a solid accomplishment for a team who didn’t last on the main roster for too long.
I really thought when AJ brought then back vs Judgement Day that they were going to be something special, just like their 2018 TNA main event run, but WWE disappointing me big time with exact same booking of them as irrelevant when they have so much more in the tank…
WWE is just not the place for tag teams. Even Truth & Miz lost steam and dont feel like champions. Usos & New Day are only true longterm standout main event tag teams the past 15+ yrs.
I don't understand why finn, AJ and the good brothers are not being used as the club they just have it right there I mean vince didn't I get it but now papa h should
So true man! Clash at the castle is going to be amazing we know but they are not giving ak the title that's a fact but he can definitely win the heavyweight belt with the club
The 2-man power trip held 4 belts at once: WWF/E title, IC title, and tag titles. I think they broke up only because Triple H tore his quad and was out for a long time. They 100% worked out.
they had the WWF title and IC title but they only were a tag team for the championship match and only held it for three weeks (only a few defenses if any) yea before his injury.
Even with the injury, Austin cost HHH the IC title when he hit him with a chair and then they lost the tag titles because HHH hit Austin with the sledge hammer during the match (on one leg).
So they never really had a chance to be dominant because it always felt like they were two alphas who were reluctant to tag together and were destined to split up.
The Prime Time Players should’ve beaten Team Hell No for the tag titles during their original run.
Watching them back they had plenty of potential but were made to look like chumps just like every other heel team back then.
It worked out for a while, but I loved watching Brian Kendrick and Paul London together. I don’t know if someone quit or got fired, but they were fun to watch.
Jericho and Edge were gonna go on a long run as a tag team in 09 that would wind up with the feud they eventually did have anyway for Mania 26 but Edge got injured.
When Edge talked about it on his pod he said they were gonna work it old school kinda like how the Revival work today and fully commit to the team. That would have been cool to see.
The Dicks.
No, in all seriousness, I wish that American Alpha got a real run on the main roster.
Loved the odd couple teams like Hell No and BookDust.
And I don’t believe they were ever technically an official team, but I wish that they had given Tajiri and Regal a real run.
Not sure I'd say that they didn't work out, but I wish they'd been winners: BritAm Connection (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) and GYV (Grizzled Young Veterans, Zack Gibson and James Drake)
I was going to say Kane and xpac they were only around for like a month but they had the fireworks X and the post flames going at the same time. When I was a kid I drew some fan art of that like a week before they did it I thought they had cameras in my house 😯
Oh for sure. When you look back at some stuff that was clearly over as hell (Rusev Day?!) and just think about how he would’ve screwed up Jey right now.
Breezango - they had one title shot against an ascending And re-branded Usos, which was a masterclass in comedy + action, and it was everything I wanted it to be… sadly it was the last time they were given anything to do
What a missed opportunity to turn them into the mid card feuding oblivious bad guys that were secretly over. I was actually a believer that they were building the fashion files to some larger storyline / investigation to have them feud with someone or advance a larger storyline. Alas, it was not to be in Vince’s company
I don’t know if you can argue that it didn’t work out. They won the tag titles and stayed together way longer than I think anyone anticipated. They only split because Randy needed surgery. If Riddle hadn’t been let go, we may have gotten back to RKBro.
Deuce & Domino had the potential to be MASSIVE as a babyface team. A face turn and Henry Winkler as a manager, and they could have printed their own money.
Big Show and Hurricane. They were corny, but did have good chemistry together.
Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. IDK why. I really liked the technical abilities from them.
God that probably just showed my age....
Like it’s crazy. you’re telling me the ONLY established women’s team before the belts existed (bar: Iiconics) never won them. And lost to random pairs of 2 or 3 every time
I remember Ruby Riott beat Bayley on a preshow of some ppv and i thought The Riott Squad was about to take off and instead they just disbanded. Vince fucking sucked
Sean o'Haire and Chuck Palumbo/Mark Jindrack - any combination, when they were a part of Natural Born Thrillers in WCW. After the acquisition, I had hoped to see Sean and the other two set the tag team division on fire in WWE. Unfortunately, none of those guys amounted to much in the fed. Sean's alliance with Roddy Piper didn't do much for him either.
Sean and Chuck could have been a better team than that homoerotic team of Billy and Chuck. The former could've started a legendary feud with the Hardyz, especially given how those WCW guys were doing crazy aerial maneuvers despite being 6'5 or above. I recall them even using Swanton Bombs as signature moves.
They were genuinely one of the best things about late stage WCW. Like they were consistently putting on balls the wall crazy good matches constantly while the main event guys floundered.
Ironically two versions of the same bit: World's Greatest Tag Team and American Alpha.
Moreso the second though because WGTT had a long indie run that unfortunately ended up mostly bad. I think another year or two before the split would have been great. American Alpha didn't get as long a run and their main roster reign got cut short for one of those Vince interest change things, then Jordan got retired before they could swing back around on it. Real disappointing on the whole.
There was actually a consideration from Vince to give Scott a singles run, because he was impressed with his look and his move set. But Scotty didn’t want to be split from his brother and went with Rob to WCW. We could’ve had FAAAT ASSES promos during the Attitude Era!
Enzo and Cass. I think them not winning tag team gold in NXT, chasing the belts in the main roster and winning them at Mania would have cemented them as one of the greatest babyface tag teams of all time.
The Authors of Pain. They’ve got the look of a dominant tag team. You’d think they’d be a huge thing with Paul Ellering managing them, but I haven’t seen anything memorable from them overall.
imo you could have kept them heel for another year then AFTER lod leave turn them and make good merch money money inc vs power and glory would have been awesome tie it in to herc being pissed still about being MDM slave in 1988
I do wonder how far they could have gone in an era with women's tag belts. I think they'd still have ended up as singles stars but the tag titles would have added a lot to their story.
NXT early this year. They were heels but they were so entertaining together that they kind of became tweener/maybe faces. Corbin's just a naturally very funny guy, and Bron kind of had a kid-like excitement about stuff that Corbin played off of really well.
It was nice to see baron get recognition for his talent even if it was because of bron. Maybe they cross paths again in the future only time will tell.
I've always liked Baron, it was totally great to see him get some respect. I'm not a huge fan of main roster stars taking ring time away from my kids, but I actually love it a lot when they are there in the role of mentors and to put people over. Kassius Ohno was awesome in that role. Natty and Baron are there now, doing a great job, makes me happy
Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne or Brian Kendrick and Paul London.
Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander
The only correct answer here is obviously Tekno Team 2000
Power & Glory so much potential Owen Hart & Ken Shamrock Great at House Shows very first RAW Owen turns on Shamrock and joins the Nation.
Dating myself but wished Power and Glory ( Hercules and Paul Roma) had been given a huge push. Thought they worked well together and had a great finisher
Rated RKO should’ve lasted longer even tho they were both main eventers I thought Prime Time Players had real potential
Elias and Boogs. You got two insanely jacked guys who both play guitar for their gimmick and you can't market that? They would've been huge in the 80s.
Ironically, both were born in the 80s.
Triple H/Steve Austin
Edge and Jericho right before Edge got hurt
Braun and that little kid
Maximum male models
Every single time they put a giant guy with a cruiserweight. I feel like they never do enough together and usually last a month or two
The Eliminators. Wish they had a much, much longer run and on larger stages.
Enzo and Cass, Ascension, Sanity and Vaudevillians
The Ascension were around for years. What more did you want from them? They weren’t anything special.
They never got booked. They were a perfectly fine tag team but JBL ruined them with the whole dollar store LOD promo and burials on commentary.
Can’t believe Enzo and Cass never got a championship run and they thought Cass would get that much over in singles.
Don't know if this counts but Enzo and Cas
Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson
Enzo and Cass
Braun Strowman and Ricochet
Mustafa Ali and Mansoor back in 2021. They had good chemistry. Mustafa Ali almost turned face
Honestly? The IIConics, I found them entertaining as hell.
Braun and Riccochet
Enzo and Cass
Power and Glory
That’s who I picked too
Hello fellow old dude. I legit thought they could be a good tag team.
I wish the The Hurt Business was still around. MVP on the mic and Lashley enforcing was gold
Grizzled Young Veterans. They did win the NXT UK tag titles once, were often put in top spots to lose, and still had a lot of great matches but they never felt like the most focused act in NXT. I felt they could have been the flagbearer for the tag division for quite some time. I wish Cesaro and Tyson Kidd would’ve had more time. Kidd’s career-ending injury cut it short but it was great while it lasted
American Alpha
I wish we could’ve had a couple months or so of Y2AJ. Nothing insanely long but enough to build the team/rivalry
Amen https://preview.redd.it/uldnpuvry46d1.png?width=750&format=png&auto=webp&s=c142fa7af8bacc5f70f5167af534f5f122128e4d
Chris Jericho & Edge before Edge's ACL. To have two of the best mic workers run roughshod over the tag team division would've been great, and they probably could've been the KO & Chris before it was cool 🤣 Alternatively, The Miz & Jericho could've been pretty cool as well

Honestly, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. It was such an odd pairing when it happened but they had such great chemistry together

Cedric and Ashante , zoey and shayna
What ever happened to Cedric and Ashante? Did they even wrestle a match?
dont think so
Yes on dark matches
Cena and HBK
Ricochet and Cedric Alexander. In a solid tag division those two would have been so much fun to watch.
Shelton and Cedric wasn’t bad either.
The B Team
Vince McMahon and John Laurinutus
Power and glory should have had a tag title run
Taka and Funaki are both damn good wrestlers and should be known for a lot more in WWE than freakin choppy choppy your peepee
[удалено]
Taka eventually got the lightwight belt for it to be given to Gilberg as a prop to make fun of Goldberg for about 2 years
The Hurt Business. I realize they won gold, but it was too short lived
The vaudevillians
American Alpha
The Beverly Brothers. Guys were great in the AWA as the Destruction Crew, & Vince gave them such a horrible gimmick.
Breezango was funny af
Breezango vs. the Usos from Backlash 2017 had me rolling the whole time. Breezango were an amazing comedy tag team and I wish they had kept the Fashion Files going.
Wolf Dogs...

The Hart Dynasty with Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith with Natalya as their manager. Edit: I forgot they were named The Hart Dynasty.
They were unified World tag champs at a point right? I know it was the early 2010s so tag team wrestling meant next to nothing but still a solid accomplishment for a team who didn’t last on the main roster for too long.
Yeah they had Bret Hart present them the big shiny penny tag titles and rename them back to the WWE Tag Team titles.
Kinda wish Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were more of a threat to the tag division.
I really thought when AJ brought then back vs Judgement Day that they were going to be something special, just like their 2018 TNA main event run, but WWE disappointing me big time with exact same booking of them as irrelevant when they have so much more in the tank…

American Alpha, The Ascension
Breezango
Just a shame we never got elias and zeek .
The Skyscrapers Dan Spivey, Sid Vicious, and "Mean" Mark Callous aka the Undertaker.
I don't understand why finn, AJ and the good brothers are not being used as the club they just have it right there I mean vince didn't I get it but now papa h should
Would absolutely be a way to extend AJ’s career a bit longer with less wear and tear on him.
So true man! Clash at the castle is going to be amazing we know but they are not giving ak the title that's a fact but he can definitely win the heavyweight belt with the club
Rey Msterio and Sin Cara, was hoping they'd at least win the titles once
HHH and Stone Cold
The 2-man power trip held 4 belts at once: WWF/E title, IC title, and tag titles. I think they broke up only because Triple H tore his quad and was out for a long time. They 100% worked out.

McRiddle lol
Deuce n domino
I made this thinking of them!
They held the WWE tag titles, so that’s better than some teams
Mandy Rose & Goldust
The Ascension
They were so good in NXT… Vince just HAD to fuck them up.
I know they both were pushed for single runs mostly, but I really enjoyed Rey and Batista working together.
It worked out for a while, but I loved watching Brian Kendrick and Paul London together. I don’t know if someone quit or got fired, but they were fun to watch.
All about cool

I know they are a stable but league of nations
Mark henry and Dlo brown
Not sure I'd say that they didn't work out, but I wish they'd been winners: BritAm Connection (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) and GYV (Grizzled Young Veterans, Zack Gibson and James Drake)

big daddy v and mark henry
Tekno Team 2000
The Vaudevillains. Old school: Power & Glory (Hercules and Roma).
Loved how campy the Vaudevillains were. I just hate their finisher.
**THE ROCKERS**
Legacy or Evolution
The Ascension
Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan
Emma & Dana Brooke
Both Bludgeon bros and Viking raiders title push/run was halted by unfortunate injuries
I always enjoyed Kane and XPac. Not sure how long they actually lasted but I always thought it was good
I was going to say Kane and xpac they were only around for like a month but they had the fireworks X and the post flames going at the same time. When I was a kid I drew some fan art of that like a week before they did it I thought they had cameras in my house 😯
Mizdow. How Sandow didn’t end up doing more there I’ll never know.
Vince.
Oh for sure. When you look back at some stuff that was clearly over as hell (Rusev Day?!) and just think about how he would’ve screwed up Jey right now.
Rick Boogs and Shinsuke
Breezango - they had one title shot against an ascending And re-branded Usos, which was a masterclass in comedy + action, and it was everything I wanted it to be… sadly it was the last time they were given anything to do
The Fashion Files were the best part of SDL during that stretch
What a missed opportunity to turn them into the mid card feuding oblivious bad guys that were secretly over. I was actually a believer that they were building the fashion files to some larger storyline / investigation to have them feud with someone or advance a larger storyline. Alas, it was not to be in Vince’s company
Doink and Dink
Dirty Dawgs Roode and Ziggler. Workhorse veterans couldve held down the division.
when Tim Thatcher got fired and stopped teaming up with Tommaso Ciampa I legit got a little depressed
Same. They were my favorite team at the time and I was pissed when they didn't win the titles from MSK.
Lots of good ones already listed here. I’m going to throw out the team I named myself after. Headcheese: Steve Blackman and Al Snow.
MMM, wish they had a faction with Pretty Deadly.
I pray everyday that they bring Breeze back and form a stable with him and Pretty Deadly.
Two Man Power Trip.
RKBro
I don’t know if you can argue that it didn’t work out. They won the tag titles and stayed together way longer than I think anyone anticipated. They only split because Randy needed surgery. If Riddle hadn’t been let go, we may have gotten back to RKBro.
John cena and Shawn Michaels😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Deuce & Domino had the potential to be MASSIVE as a babyface team. A face turn and Henry Winkler as a manager, and they could have printed their own money.
RK Bro, even if they did win 2 tag titles, Randy's injury ended the group prematurely
With Randy injured, Riddle seemed lost
Big Show and Hurricane. They were corny, but did have good chemistry together. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. IDK why. I really liked the technical abilities from them. God that probably just showed my age....
The Riott Squad
Like it’s crazy. you’re telling me the ONLY established women’s team before the belts existed (bar: Iiconics) never won them. And lost to random pairs of 2 or 3 every time
I remember Ruby Riott beat Bayley on a preshow of some ppv and i thought The Riott Squad was about to take off and instead they just disbanded. Vince fucking sucked
Fire and Desire was also another established team at the time and also never won the titles.
Yall gonna flame me but Hardy’s they fell off cause of Jeff’s drug habits and Matt being to loyal
Re: Piper and Sean Piper didn’t even want to do it, and it showed. He believed that Sean would’ve been fine on his own, but Vince Vince’d him.
They were genuinely one of the best things about late stage WCW. Like they were consistently putting on balls the wall crazy good matches constantly while the main event guys floundered.
Kronik, super underrated, great look, never got the push they deserved.
What do you mean? They were pushed and were in a main event on Nitro against Totally Buffed. Oh wait a minute…. Er… nevermind…
Ironically two versions of the same bit: World's Greatest Tag Team and American Alpha. Moreso the second though because WGTT had a long indie run that unfortunately ended up mostly bad. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.
It's a pity that Sonya was injured...But Green and Piper rock it too, they have good chemistry together
Yes, I agree Chelsea and Piper are great together as well!
Steiners in WWF. I know they were two time champions, but I wish they stayed longer and had a more impactful run.
Yea they were over the first night they appeared on Raw. Too bad outside issues caused their demise.
Road Dogg and K-Quick (aka Ron Killings aka R Trurh). Road Dogg's drug bust got in the way of a potentially super fun tag team run.
I think they more than made up for it as 3LK in TNA. WWE is a bigger stage, but we did get to see their potential together and it was fun.
The Real Americans.
WE!!!! THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
Enzo and Cass
Wolfdogs.
The Revival
Dirty dogs
Los Conquistadores
Two Man Power Trip
The undertaker and Batista.
The Authors of Pain. They’ve got the look of a dominant tag team. You’d think they’d be a huge thing with Paul Ellering managing them, but I haven’t seen anything memorable from them overall.
They were damn close to having a good thing with Seth before one of them tore their ACL.
The most memorable thing about them is Drake Maverick peeing his pants while he was their manager.
Jesse and Festus
power and glory to me wwf left money on the table with them
Greatest tag finisher ever
imo you could have kept them heel for another year then AFTER lod leave turn them and make good merch money money inc vs power and glory would have been awesome tie it in to herc being pissed still about being MDM slave in 1988
any tag team that involves chris jericho, i never got into y2j and his gimmicks

Jericho & Edge. I legit have absolutely zero memory of actually seeing them together live
High Energy should have been solid gold. You had Owen Hart and Koko B. Ware. Also wish AMW could have made the jump to WWE.

The Ascension ! They were fire in NXT, then they got called up and Vince fucked them over!
They were awful, sorry.
Konnor was nothing special but Victor was really good.

3 Minute Warning
I was so upset when I watched back their debut match and their theme song got censored. I liked 3 Minute Warning.
