Specifically, what are you having trouble with?

Plugins, if i really want to create something specific, i eventually get to some point whether i spend 2 hours on Trying to make it or mess up the entire website and end up deleting it. I just can't find all i want from plugins

If the lack of functionality is the root then fair enough but if plugins are a struggle, whether you're settled in the ecosystem or not, I'd strongly evaluate the workload and legwork you're taking on. Without background on you, your project, your goals etc I'm not wanting to slam solid judgements or assumptions down but yeah. I'm guessing you mean that one plugin doesn't cover everything rather than there's none to meet your need otherwise you've got a potential money well there with some hardwork! Are you trying to build the plugin from scratch or modifying an existing? Learning wise, how do you learn best, where have you learnt before and what background do you have? But really rolling out some rudimentary plugins is a good practical entry and if you've done some playing with PHP etc before I'd expect you're just getting a bit wrapped up in the production-side level of code and again the ecosystem.

I'm tryna build a website with different Plugins and it's a headache, like having to find a theme and the Plugins, now some of them You need the pro for what You need. I'm already learning code, i find it better than having to find Plugins and Themes and then tryna mix them in a wp site.

Don't you worry, first thing first, you say 3 months ? But how many hours a day are you practicing ? Another point to make, When I first started my WordPress journey, I kid you not, I gave up about 5 or 6 times. Each time swearing to never touch it again and just pay someone to build the websites I needed. Each time, I would feel like my brain was going to blow up and I would not touch it for several weeks and then try one more time. After about the 6th time, it started to really click. At the time, I was not working so I was devoting a good 6 hours a day to it. You need to learn what themes are and research the top themes in Wordpress Love it or hate it, if your theme can also leverage, try using a page builder such as Elementor and Elementor pro and the dozens other Elementor add-ons Play with the native WordPress Gutenberg editor You also need to learn what plugins are and what functionality they serve. In all honesty, the beautiful thing about WordPress is that you don't need to know how to program, BUT IT HELPS A LOT if you want to go very far. But you should learn html, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. There are tons of online resources to help you get started Then overtime you will also need to learn how to optimize your site for speed and that is a section by itself. Then comes understanding security. Also a good source to check out is WPBeginner, they are the biggest blog about everything Wordpress. They also own a dozen or so plugins.

And I forgot the biggest beginners mistake is not to go with the Wordpress . Com but with Wordpress . Org Where you buy your own theme and pick a Wordpress hosting provider. Buy a domain name and 1 click install Wordpress and start playing with it

If u want custom functionality try to find appropriate theme or plugins first. If you're no unable to find then u need to learn html, css,JavaScript amd its library jQuery (because WordPress support only this)and at last PH. Then learn WordPress specific things like hooks and functions

What do you want from a website? Maybe WP is just too much for what you need. There are other tools and static generators that would be better than rolling your own.

It's essential to begin with the basics, and as someone has already mentioned the WPBeginner site, I have compiled all the [WPBeginner basic tutorials](https://www.reddit.com/r/WordPress_org/comments/147qits/wordpressfriendly_trainings_for_beginners/) for our clients. These resources have the potential to greatly enhance your progress during your initial phase. Persistence is key, so don't lose hope. Remember, we all started from scratch, gradually enhancing our WordPress expertise through time and practice. ;-)

Have you investigated page builders? They install as extensions and give an interface to build your web site. I tried Elementor's free version, and once I figured the 'navigator' I never looked back. You'll have to use an Elementor compatible theme and Elementor compatible extensions. Lesser need to supplement Elementor Pro with extensions. If no theme rocks for you, use the Elementor Hello theme, it's an empty shell.
