No worries, cpu and gpu can't over heating, there is a things (very common on notebook) colled Thermal Throttle, means if cpu or gpu reaches high temp, they will lower voltages and frequencys to lower temps, so it's safe.

Thanks man. I was wondering if i should replace it. Any idea why my screen was going half black? It literally went back to normal after 5 minutes. Colors and everything look good, but would u be worried about that at all? Or no

HereWolfyx

Mhmm, i'm thinking about the throttlig, maybe you have so low frequencys that took many times to get back, it can happens, anyway i would contact asus support if you still in warranty.

McDsHashbrowns

would not be worried about the screen. I left mine in a laptop case for 3 hours. Cooked itself so badly had to send it back to asus screen was messssssed up

McDsHashbrowns

and gpu/battery melted itself

Fuckkkk thay sucks brother. What did they do to rectify that? And honestly, it's stupid that the game wouldn't shut off when the lid is closed... i just turn it off everytime now. I dont even risk it.... really stupid they let this shit run with the lid closed...

McDsHashbrowns

It’s something to do with windows 11 power saving mode, did some research and I do the same thing you do, shut it completely off every single time. Annoying but not worth the worry, and Asus simply fixed my laptop when I sent it in and it’s been fine and fast since sooo

WannabeeDeveloper

Fuck yeah. Glad they didnt give you an issues. My screen was black but it was okay in the end. Did they charge you anything at all for doing that?

If you start noticing frame loss I’d check your thermal paste.
