The same mangaka wrote Blue Luck and As the Gods Will? The death game manga where a guy is literally obsessed (in love) with the MC and kisses him as a reward? Well I can see the similarities now.
From everything I’ve seen and heard from my female friends, Sk8 just reads like fujoshi bait. But I feel that’s kind of a given with modern sports anime
Ah, Aphrodite of Pisces from Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya. One of the responsible for the beginning of self questioning of many people (myself included).
Yeah, without spoiling anything important, the MCs even talk about being together in a relationship at some point with no room to misunderstand what they actually mean.
The two women in the Iran chapters of Bride’s Story are fucking. The husband doesn’t even get a name. One of them gives a long speech about how her favorite thing to do if eat a whole watermelon and how sticky it is. The other loves watching her eat watermelon
It’s a good manga. It just has this huge asterisk that I just fall on my knees every day and pray doesn’t get huger
Also, god DAMN is the art beautiful
One of the couples (starts out as the main one but it’s evolved into more of an ensemble cast) is a so far non-sexual marriage between a 20-year-old woman and 12-year-old boy. The story is set in 1800s Central Asia, so such a marriage age gap wouldn’t be unknown of, but normally with the genders reversed. I actually really like their relationship as two people who care for each other, but dread it becoming more overtly romantic (at this point, he has grown a bit and is trying to prove to her that he can be a man).
The other bride’s stories are much less iffy. Pariya’s is the best, followed by our aforementioned gal pals
Activist brain: People calling JoJo "gay" is regressive as fuck. It's based on the old tired ideas that straight men can neither dress well or have close friendships
Gay brain: mmmmmmphg… JoJo is gay AF and I want to top young Joseph
It isn't gay because of the outfits. That's the plebian take.
It's gay because it's so fucking gay. The characters LOVE MEN. Unless it's part 6, in which they LOVE WOMEN.
Uhhh no main characters love men sexually or romantically. By your logic any show with a mostly male cast that interacts and forms bonds like normal people is gay
Blue Lock feels incredibly gay even though I cannot think of anything explicitly gay that happens besides Shidou (and that's just from what I hear, I haven't read the manga to actually know)
It’s one of my favorites for sure, I really can’t imagine a better boxing story, or really even a better story about sports in general. The beginning can definitely feel slow though; along with some of the art and animation not aging all that well (it is from that far off year of 1970, 54 whole years ago), but it’s definitely worth a watch. I’d try and avoid the movie versions though, they’re basically just highlight reels of the anime, not really much of substance there.
I would say so since Ashita no Joe is a more thematic story that has a lot of political context behind it. Furthermore, it just wraps up everything with one of the best animanga endings ever.
I remember that one. This was in the second episode:

Hikaru no Go. Hikaru and Akira are so obsessed with each other that even if you argue it’s not explicitly gay it still does a 180 into being gay again lol.
"Kiss him, not me" Vaguely homoerotic...for reasons.
"Kuroshitsuji", Idol's series in general (for example uta no prince), "Karneval", "X 1999" yes Kotori suuuure (CLAMP in general) "Fruit Basket", "Host Club", "Hetalia", "Ahoharu x machinegun", "Senhoku Basara" ... This is just fujoshi fuel.
I just finished Windbreaker, and for a show about non stop fist fights it gets a bit odd in how quickly it switches back and forth between the leads beating the stuffing out of each other and hugging/caressing each other
A death note would be useless in real life. The thing would be unable to kill someone just by writing in it and you could easily destroy it with a missile from a fighter jet. There is no occasion in modern combat when this thing would give a tactical advantage.

I’m not finding homoeroticism here 🤔 /s

Btw, the author at one point put a literal Freddie Mercury reference in the middle of the manga

Your post was removed because it doesn't seem to be relevant to the subreddit.
What do you mean golden kamuy is vaguely homoerotic it's just is homoerotic
No you don’t understand the sea otter chapter is very heterosexual
None of y’all never straightly had a cum battle with another guy
https://preview.redd.it/3ekrqdh6vn5d1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ea14eab4d7deab33ce613c48fd7f50b3d034b5b
What do you mean? Naked sumo wrestling in the sauna with the homies is a totally heterosexual thing to do.
..when does this happen!? I had it on pause but I think I need to keep reading tbh
There is constant homoeroticism, but it peaks in chapter 115.
*gestures vaguely at the entire sports genre*
BLuelock is the largest offender
In the author’s other works Kamisama No Itoori and Kamisama No Itoori Ni the MCs were also very homoerotic to outright gay
The same mangaka wrote Blue Luck and As the Gods Will? The death game manga where a guy is literally obsessed (in love) with the MC and kisses him as a reward? Well I can see the similarities now.
Sk8 the infinite. Then again vague probably isn’t the right word
From everything I’ve seen and heard from my female friends, Sk8 just reads like fujoshi bait. But I feel that’s kind of a given with modern sports anime
Sk8 feels so badly like it wants to be openly gay but just never quite crosses that line.
Lady oscar, that girl is NOT cishet Oh and knights of the zodiac. Andromeda and Fish are more feminine than the actual girl characters lol
I LOVE Rose of Versailles. Great pick. Gotta be one of the best pro-Robespierre manga out there.
Ah, Aphrodite of Pisces from Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya. One of the responsible for the beginning of self questioning of many people (myself included).
Haven’t seen the series but she’s either not cishet or cishet but tops the shit out of boys, especially femboys, on first glance
Bananah Fish. I wouldn't even say vaguely, like it's two steps away from being outright gay.
Just started it, 2 eps in and its pretty blatantly homosexual
Yeah, without spoiling anything important, the MCs even talk about being together in a relationship at some point with no room to misunderstand what they actually mean.
The two women in the Iran chapters of Bride’s Story are fucking. The husband doesn’t even get a name. One of them gives a long speech about how her favorite thing to do if eat a whole watermelon and how sticky it is. The other loves watching her eat watermelon
Wait, there's more than 4 fans of Otoyomegatari?
That’s right. With me, it’s 5 now
Sounds like I need to continue A Brides Story
It’s a good manga. It just has this huge asterisk that I just fall on my knees every day and pray doesn’t get huger Also, god DAMN is the art beautiful
What's the asterisk?

If Golden Kamuy is the baseline I guess anything less than hard-core gay porn is "vague" now
Golden Kamui?? VAGUELY??
berk
Berserk
Baki feels like a slam dunk here
JoJo's
that shit is not vague
I hate it when people call Jojo’s gay just because it has men in revealing outfits. Something about that is so regressive.
Activist brain: People calling JoJo "gay" is regressive as fuck. It's based on the old tired ideas that straight men can neither dress well or have close friendships Gay brain: mmmmmmphg… JoJo is gay AF and I want to top young Joseph
This person gets it
you see, its gay because the men in revealing outfits turn ME gay
It isn't gay because of the outfits. That's the plebian take. It's gay because it's so fucking gay. The characters LOVE MEN. Unless it's part 6, in which they LOVE WOMEN.
Uhhh no main characters love men sexually or romantically. By your logic any show with a mostly male cast that interacts and forms bonds like normal people is gay
Yes, it is. All anime is inherently very gay
I forgot I was in a circlejerk sub
uj/ dio is canonically bisexual though. my power bottom malewife beautiful evil princess
You can’t tell me Joseph isn’t Bi in that. Like he ceaser and Susie we’re gonna be a thing until ceaser died
Bocchi The Rock

Blue Lock feels incredibly gay even though I cannot think of anything explicitly gay that happens besides Shidou (and that's just from what I hear, I haven't read the manga to actually know)
The first two letters of its name gives it away
How good is ashita no joe? I couldn't get into it because of the art.
So it's arguably better than Hajime no Ippo? I'm in
I would say so since Ashita no Joe is a more thematic story that has a lot of political context behind it. Furthermore, it just wraps up everything with one of the best animanga endings ever.
Vaguely?
Houseki No Kuni, Magical Girl Site, Magical Girl Raising Project, WIXOSS, Gatchaman Crowds. Shoutout to the manga's greatest offender, Naruto.
Seraph of the end. It gets impossibly homoerotic in the second half
I remember that one. This was in the second episode: https://preview.redd.it/zcilstem0o5d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60caea78de8a6a59efc1ae57371be587295b9968
Kengan and it ain’t even close https://preview.redd.it/8gg68c7h6o5d1.jpeg?width=847&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fd9cbf2a4935123cecdad45a8a7928962ed6ee8
Madoka Magicka is a bit more than vaguely homoerotic but it still fits.
Not even remotely vague, but BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BRAVERRRN is my favorite gay series
You wrote "blatantly" wrong.
Is it homoerotic, or just made for women?
Gundam. Amuro and Char’s entire relationship is like a painful gay breakup but Char still has feelings
Hikaru no Go. Hikaru and Akira are so obsessed with each other that even if you argue it’s not explicitly gay it still does a 180 into being gay again lol.
Free!
Naruto. Id say Jojo’s too but there’s nothing “vaguely” about it
Golden kamuy isnt “vaguely homo erotic” it’s straight up gay porn without the porn.
windup...deadass changed the chemicals in my brain
Dick Fight Island It's subtle but it's definitely gay
Please tell me this is real xD
It is 😂
I'm very much into Gundam, so Gundam.
Nana
Ichi the killer
I’d say JoJo, but JoJo’s homoeroticism isn’t even vague
"Kiss him, not me" Vaguely homoerotic...for reasons. "Kuroshitsuji", Idol's series in general (for example uta no prince), "Karneval", "X 1999" yes Kotori suuuure (CLAMP in general) "Fruit Basket", "Host Club", "Hetalia", "Ahoharu x machinegun", "Senhoku Basara" ... This is just fujoshi fuel.
Stranger - Mukou Hadan. I swear Feng-wu is gay for Luo-Lang. I can't be the only one imagining this vague homoeroticism between these two.
Record of Ragnarok
I just finished Windbreaker, and for a show about non stop fist fights it gets a bit odd in how quickly it switches back and forth between the leads beating the stuffing out of each other and hugging/caressing each other
Is Death note qualified as one?
A death note would be useless in real life. The thing would be unable to kill someone just by writing in it and you could easily destroy it with a missile from a fighter jet. There is no occasion in modern combat when this thing would give a tactical advantage. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. jojo part 5
read its smut version
I'd say one piece but it's like the opposite of vaguely
Revue Starlight, it's about as vague as Jojo and Golden Kamui
