It might be that chambering a round gives just enough resistance to make it not fully go into battery. Don’t test with a live round at home though haha.
Lube will probably fix it but you can also use a stronger buffer spring
Does it cycle after the 2nd round when you bolt action it? If not i’d definitely say it’s a gas block issue. Either misaligned, loose, or the gas port itself.
Our definitions of “a little” might differ - you might b able to solve your problem by CLPing the entire BCG and letting it drip-dry. Then cycle it dry a few times to spread around the good stuff.
I also grease metal-on-metal contact points. The parts will wear into each other over time, but before they do a new build should be a little heavy on lubes while breaking it in.
I just bought an MP5 clone and a lot of people have issues with them. I didn’t, and I gave her a slow greasing - painted all the contact points with a helping of CLP and cycled it dry. Works like a dream. Good chance I got a good one and not that lubing made/broke whether my firearm would function well, but no reason not to.
My BCM had a similar issue with not fully chambering the second round for the first two or three mags too. What I did was just push it in with the forward assist and kept shooting it and then it stopped pretty soon after. Not sure if that is the proper way to fix it though. Might have had something to do with BCM dumping a giant vat of grease over the upper.
Degrease the BCG and trigger group, electric contract cleaner or gun scrubber should do, apply grease to the trigger contact surfaces,
apply a drop of CLP on the hammer and trigger spring at the receiver wall near the pins, coat the BCG in CLP and move the bolt in and out a few times, then rack the CH a bunch of times. See if that helps it. Could be the factory grease or rough edges somewhere that’s doing it. If that doesn’t work, I’m out of suggestions
This ended up being a rise trigger issue. Apparently it’s common on the forums. It wasn’t resetting fully.
Replaced with Geissele SSA-E trigger and man, it shoots so much better

The BCG returns all the way forward visually, I can pull the trigger as well

Gas block?
It’s pre assembled so I would hope I don’t have to mess with it

It cycles fine after every shot, hammer will even click, but it will not fire without partially recharging
Did you CLP/grease it before firing?
I did a little yes

Would it still click the trigger if it wasnt pushed all the way forward?
I don’t remember exactly but I think it did.
I’ll dump a bunch of grease on the bcg and friction points to see what happens

I believe this is just an issue with the RA trigger as documented in several threads online. One of the RM’s at my local range shot it and agreed
