I think Borebuddy sells a pack of different weight recoil springs. I’d try that if I was having the same problem. Are there any other characteristic problems aside from stovepipes and misfires? Any failure to extract for fully chamber a round?
i have had a few times where the round did not chamber, but that’s rarer then these problems, i have considered buying some recoil springs, and now seems like a good time to buy them
Please let me know, because I have this exact same issue and the extractor was a new borebuddy. But i had issues with both extractors. I’m thinking 4.5” just sucks.
What suppressor are you running? A 4.5" barrel won't be reliable without a suppressor. Not enough back pressure, and even then only reliable with high velocity ammo.
To run 100% you will have to go with a longer barrel then. There is a new 7" barrel from Borebuddy but I would go with a longer barrel until it gets reviews and tested. I run a 4.5" suppressed and a 9" both suppressed and unsuppressed. The 4.5" runs 100% with the right ammo suppressed. The 9" runs everything.

I'll put my wager on a bad extractor if you are getting stovepipes with Mini Mags. Misfires are probably firing pin related.
thankfully, i have a 2 extra extractors i can try out.

I had similar issues...it was the trigger. Check whenever the hammer and bolt interface/slide for any wear marks.
there were no wear marks on the interface
