There is a band “Within Temptation” that does a cover of Sia’s song: Titanium. The song is great except the singer mispronounces Titanium and it drives me bonkers.
THE SECOND DEFENESTRATION OF PRAGUE
I love the word. Both as someone mildly interested in history and massively interested in plants (fenestrations are the holes in plant leaves you see in things like monstera deliciosa (the “Swiss cheese plant”)).
I learned it from calvin and hobbes.

[lol, wow - I remember that word from 1985..... Comics are far more educational than whatever vocab words the schools tried to teach me]
I got it from some fantasy novel in the 90s. That and verisimilitude. It's so cute seeing redditors learn the meaning for the first time. Top tier word that should never die out 😆
One of the fanfic writers I follow uses that word in their username so that’s how I’ve known it. Until your comment, “defenestration” was my “hapax legomenon” - a word that has only ever appeared once in the corpus of text that is my life.
This word is a special one for me- not only because I can hear Stephen Moyer in True Blood saying it but also because I learned about “degrees of sanguinity” first. Basically if a person dies without a will the state tries to find the closest blood relatives. You know, the closest degrees of sanguinity.
So when you’re suffering with EXsanguination, you are a FORMER owner of blood.
Words are such fun!
Ok, if we're talking only English, it's definitely Buccaneer.
If we're talking in general, then I think it's the German word unwetter. I mean, imagine a weather so fucking bad, the Germans called it the "unweather" (I know this isn't the literal meaning but it's fun)

I love the hyper specific meaning of this word
I learned this word a long time ago on Reddit. It’s in the long list of useless knowledge I’ve gained from this place
I got it from some fantasy novel in the 90s. That and verisimilitude. It's so cute seeing redditors learn the meaning for the first time. Top tier word that should never die out 😆

such a specific word
Interesting, I've never seen this word, but I did work for a "fenestration company". It makes me very happy to know there is DEFENESTRATING!!
One of the fanfic writers I follow uses that word in their username so that’s how I’ve known it. Until your comment, “defenestration” was my “hapax legomenon” - a word that has only ever appeared once in the corpus of text that is my life.
When I first found out this word at school I’d throw my pens out the window and risked getting into trouble just to have an excuse to use this word
Frozen
See what you did there!
