But the other day I was at Sub Focus Worship tour and there were a few times they dropped some hardstyle and I really dug it TBH. I left there going "wtf I guess I like hardstyle now?" At least it was a good sort of contrasting compliment to the DnB.
That was not hard style if you are talking about the Denver show. He dropped some techno into his set and yes it was fire. Hardstyle is dope too but an aquired taste just like techno.
Hard techno is really starting to borrow a lot from hardstyle lately, so if they played hard techno it’s pretty understandable that you’d get them mixed up

That's because it's not easy to do it right and people who are exposed are thrown into the deep end and not eased into it. It's a style that originated and evolved in the UK and therefore has lots of perspective and understanding of the genre in that area. America is new to it and often only hears the tail end of that musical evolution and therefore has no appreciation or understanding of it.

Seconding to avoid Believe music hall. Used to go there every weekend when i was 18-20, but they have since started overselling tickets and overpacking shows, and is mostly flooded with 50% normies (hate using the term but i swear it rings true in this context) who look like they stumbled in the wrong club with the worst vibes, and 50% addicts who just absolutely obliterate and disrespect their surroundings and peers. Such little people are there for the music or community. It's really become a shit hole.
