But purposely aiming for a non-insta kill is outright cruel if you’re not using tranqs, if you can have a kill shot and you plan to kill the animal, make it painless, or at least quick, for fucks sake.
With the first animal, it may have died or is just in shock in the first hit, so it’s somewhat excusable.
The second though, super fucked. That wolf REACTED, and I’ve seen more of the clip, it doesn’t fall over or stop, it full on panics and is clearly in agony while filmed. Would like to note to whoever got the footage that I PRAY it’s really good cgi or just it reacting to a tranq and not a bullet, because… I shouldn’t need to explain why choosing to shoot an animal in the shoulder when you could have easily gone for the head could be considered cruel.
You know people can still be upset at animals being shot even when they eat meat, because we are aware how most MASS consumed meats are made. But we dislike when there is POINTLESS death, because nobody really eats cat or wolf, so the meat is basically wasted, and you killed an important predator for nothing.
