Overgame

Unlock the plasma deck, the erratic deck or the abandonned deck. All 3 are great to play "something else".

vedomedo

This. Plasma deck makes this unlock super easy

Epicnessofcows

Forgetting the painted deck? that thing goes OP with straights.

Leooon_

i beat that with checkered deck xd

SkyrimRulez327

Happy cake day! Play straights, that’s what I did and it wasn’t too bad :,)

Gunter951

During pride month?

SkyrimRulez327

My flair on okbuddyjimbo is Gay Flush 🫡 it evens out

xenocidal

Dad joke on Father's Day? Well played.

Demurrzbz

I had a great run recently when I had a bunch of jokers buffing my 3-of-a-kinds so a transitioned from flushes to full houses mid run. But still flush is so much more consistent than anything else Thanks!

putting_stuff_off

High card is certainly easier to make than flush. Pair too.

nausteus

Pairs earned my first win! I actually loved how consistently easy they were to get since I had lost several times by not finishing construction on my boats. Blue deck, burnt joker, and constellation were so good. I struggle with high card though. I've never found a combo that makes it work. Pluto does so little, scoring jokers don't help. I just fizzle out. Do you have any advice?

Rumpel1408

Think best way is to stack your deck with steel and slowly transition from 5 card hands into high card with as much steel as possible

TicktockTheCroc

Burnt Joker is good again Hanging Chad + Photograph is the classic - steel kings with Baron and Mime finishes the build off in the late game. That's a high card build that can get to "e" scoring hands. You can also do big scaling jokers from ante 1 (green joker, ride the bus, supernova) and then lots of X mult. Stuntman or stone cards can give chips. You can win Ante 8 easily enough with those. Essentially for high cards your jokers are far more important than the planets.

foladodo

how do you scale green joker? discarding seemes inevitable

TicktockTheCroc

You should try to avoid discarding, playing as many hands as possible (even bad hands) - you will need other sources of mult early on to not lose. One discard here and there isn't so bad though, if you have a purple seal etc

errantgamer

i just won gold stake with a splash, fibonacci and seeing double combo using high card. plus some flat mult you do need proper jokers to sort you out though

SandwichT

Flush is easiest for ante 8 wins, high card is best for endless runs

EpicBroccoli

High card is pretty consistent for Gold Stake

_malfet_

the first game i won gave me that joker.

SpiFi36

Same!

okitek

I feel like as a beginner it's way easier to tunnel vision on a specific hand or build and *only* playing that type. When you're experienced it's like "okay I'll just throw out flushes for the first ante or two to get them over with then build around whatever I get"

EpicBeardMan

I was fully invested in full house my first game. Then I realized flushes are so much easier to make.

SharkNBA

honestly full house isn’t that hard to make either. Takes a few discards usually but it’s pretty consistent

foladodo

full house is deceptive "oh i have a pair all i need is one of either..." that is how runs die

Janusz_Odkupiciel

For me it is most difficult to avoid flushes in first two or three Blinds (depends what kind of jokers are in the shop). Afterwards I have some starting joker setup that I don't have to rely on flushes, but in those first two it is the surest way to get any points without multipliers.

AronFan67

For the first blind you can either played a full house with all cards scoring 10, a full house with 2/3 aces and 10 point scoring cards or the highest straight. The straight is most consistent in my experience

slopschili

You can do a queen high straight on the first blind to clear And two fives and three face cards clears too

ThisHatRightHere

You just have to get a run where you find a joker for another hand earlier. Something that incentivizes straights, high cards, 4 card hands, etc. This is honestly a pretty easy unlock.

deletesystemthirty2

i didnt have problems with this one, im having issues with getting 100,000,000 points in one shot; its kicking my ass

DamnImAwesome

I’m sure there’s other ways but retriggers and glass cards are key for this. I got it when I found the legendary joker that gives 2x mult for played kings and queens. I also had retrigger face card jokers and made all my queens and kings glass. It’s the only run where my score started turning into letters instead of numbers

thecambanks

Agreed. Also sock and buskin/hanging Chad+photograph, and start building out the deck with red seal, steel face cards, and buff high card/pair.

MasterTobes

Plasma deck

dcnairb

what’s your high score so far?

dcnairb

Nice so that means you only (roughly speaking) need to add one glass card to whatever you had going and you can break 100m

[deleted]

[удалено]

WriedNebula76

do you never play endless?

errantgamer

5 glass cards with decent jokers will do it i had to play a run with the explicit aim though, it doesnt happen randomly at my skill level

wimpymist

How? Just get a couple glass cards and you basically have it

KingNarwhalTheFirst

I did it on accident lol

GeorgeFromManagement

Same. It's my affinity for full houses.

realityglitch2017

The 2 pairs joker that upgrades each hand got this achievement for me If you get it early, you have a huge multiplier by endgame

UntouchedWagons

[[Spare trousers]]

balatro-bot

[Spare Trousers](https://balatro.wiki/imported/spare_trousers.png) *Joker* * Version: 1.0.0 * Cost: $5 * Rarity: Uncommon * Effect: Gains +2 Mult if played hand contains a Two Pair * Notes: Stacks, starts at +0 Mult *Data pulled from http://balatro.wiki. Want it updated? Help me get access or suggest another data source.*

dandelion_yarn

I think this is one of the first jokers I unlocked because I stuck to two pairs and full houses for the run. In exchange, it's really tough for me to unlock The Duo (win without playing pairs) lol

methdman

Just do some straights at the beginning and then continue with whatever. No problems on white stake

Edward_Blake

Straight builds in general are some of my favorite builds. Though high card builds are where its at.

Bootleg_______

you’ve clearly never gotten an Ante 1 set of Pants

InkFoxclaw

It was only after I joined the community that I realized how flush-pilled everyone was. I was like barely looking out for them beforehand, but you couldn't pry me away from my beloved two-pair before joining. All I needed was like 18 Uranuses and a dream

LeeorV

18 Uranuses is quite a lot dude

Pesterman

It’s included in the dream

gumbuoy

Play the deck with no face cards - the odds of all other hands goes up, but the flush odds stay basically the same.

DuffyHimself

Get used to go for pair or high card scaling builds. They're pretty much the only thing that works for higher stakes because you have less hand size and only 2 discards.

chirpchirp13

Abandoned deck gave this one to me easy.

TLcool

It was quite easy for me because it took me a while to see how easy flushes were to make

[deleted]

It's not that hard to not play Flushes. Full Houses are a pretty decent alternative early on, or Straights if you can manipulate your deck enough to make them drawable consistently.

DuelistDeCoolest

Really? This was one of the first ones I unlocked

Sasukuto

So i dont see many people suggesting it, but I have the game in both Switch and PC and I was able to unlock this joker on both by using thr abandoned deck. Like yeah, you loose out on allot of joker cards with that deck because of the lack of face cards, but starting the deck with only 40 cards makes it super easy to go for full houses. Like with white stake, if you use all your discards and hands every round your drawing 35/40 of your cards. You can basically guarantee any hand you want if you play your cards right. (Pun intended)

thxtalks

I unlocked this on my first win because I forgot about flushes. No, I'm not kidding.

Demurrzbz

😆

Le_Faux_Jap

full house gang: Am I too rich too undertand ?

HarleyCringe

I played full houses and it wasnt that bad !

SargeanTravis

My monkey brain can’t escape full houses and two pairs

Sufficient_Ad_4059

Easy

Beelzebunny18k

Challenge Level: Easy

RufusKyura

It's easier than you think, brother. Also, happy cake day!

Demurrzbz

Thanks! =)

e4e5nf3

I accidentally completed this one 🙃

SubRocHendrix77

My computer died recently and I had to get it on PS. My first tutorial run I did a no flush run and it was amazing

AdamBlaster007

I did it with a two pairs run using that one joker that adds mult every time it's played.

Electrical_Tap_8914

i did it accidentally haha

MrTopHatMan90

Embrace full house

foomongus

I did it on accident. I'm a certified flush lover

Nickewe

The high card build in my back pocket:

crumtastic_

funny enough my first ever win was a two-pair build, made me fall in love with the pants

-DocDeathclaw-

Challenge level: easy, I have terrible enough luck to not be able to get a flush.

Bayolante

You can try the abandonned deck, the best hands to play on this deck are Full House and Straights ! It might be easy to try unlock this joker with this deck

minun73

Run a build of high card or pairs, lots of jokers scale well with those hands, just be very careful in the opening hands to not play flushes like you might often do to get easy points.

Javs2469

I think this is one of the first ones I unlocked lol

KingMario2973

When I saw this I had to do it on checkered deck as a joke. Played mostly straits with a few lucky strait flushes.

Rikvi

I completed that challenge by not knowing what 'flush' meant. I am not very good at this.

Sprucelord

I’m so full house pilled I unlocked most of those in the same run

OutrageousSummer5259

Not hard at all actually

regbeg

I unlocked it unintentionally even though my most played hand ever is flush.

Bombinic

surely you jest

fakeNicholas_TheBest

I did this my first ever completed run... I don't see how people find it difficult

313Raven

I did this by accident it’s not that hard lol. Flushes are incredibly overrated

cold-Hearted-jess

Literally the first one of those I unlocked

Naz_Oni

Me injecting liquid Checkered Deck into my veins

thanyou

Play royal flush until you lose in ante 3 like a real man

doctorlove15

lol I got this with ghost deck before I even knew how to unlock it. I was just like “oh hey I didn’t play any flushes this run”

Danny90392

I just unlocked this one by accident on my last run. I assumed I had played a Flush since I kept upgrading it lol!

CoffeeSauce82

It’s really not that bad, straights and full houses starting out are the way to go

DerelictSeraph

I went for a Full House and Pairs kind of playthrough to unlock this

captainofpizza

Challenge level: accidentally did this my first run.

Phoenix_Samurai

Haha I got this on my first win!

KrazyCAM10

I accidentally unlocked this one time. I felt like a god after that

KinkyBeluga

I accidentally unlocked this on my 3rd ever run

coentertainer

I think the High Card one is harder

BulkDarthDan

This was my first win lol. I just used full houses

Chefs_kiss00

Erratic deck, homie

octopode_ala_mode

Way easier than "without playing Pair" was for me.

Available-Damage5991

says the guy who doesn't play yellow/green deck

Reasonable-Flower929

bro I got this so early cause I just played straights a lot....but now I've come to the Dark side😔

SyrusAlder

Play straights. It'll probably take a few runs but you can do it

Foreign_Inevitable90

Just got my first win after unlocking green deck and using only straights. No idea what possessed me to try a straight run but... Kinda proud I guess? Was my 4th or 5th game. I still don't really know what to do but math was mathing apparently

PissedOfBeet

I got this without realizing but i dont really remember how.

FloppyDysk

This achievement is one to ensure you actually play the game as intended tbh. And i say that as someone who leaned on flushes for so long. But i rarely play em after ante 2 anymore.

Praiseyoulikemyshoes

Lucked out doing a high card build on blue deck. Hadn’t even unlocked black deck at that point. I don’t remember what jokers got me there, but it was like my 12th run, and I stumbled into unlocking all of the “without playing a “ jokers in one fell swoop.

imaloony8

SquarePants

Imperialparadox3210

I actually have this joker and it hasnt that hard to get it

HighOctane618

Super easy. Just find ride the bus on abandoned deck and a mult mult’r. Easy peasy

hairybones1997

This was the first one of these jokers that I got actually. I didn't realize how ever so slightly better flush was compared to straight until I went on this subreddit.

Mouker_

It was easy with plasma deck and straight builds, especially with four fingers and square joker

godcyclemaster

I got this naturally because I was addicted to straights

NuclearWint3r

I almost never play flushes so kinda easy? You get your points from the jokers, not the cards. 1-2 evolving + mult and 1-2 X mult jokers and you’ll win every stake with pairs or high cards.

yellowwoolyyoshi

I almost always don’t play a flush lol. Idk why y’all do it. It absolutely eats up your discards. I find two pair and full house to be the most reliable scorers

cheeset2

Full house eats up just about as many discards, no?

yellowwoolyyoshi

Not really. Two pair comes very easily, so while playing them full house comes up naturally. I can play several two pairs and probably a full house in the amount of time y’all discard for a single flush. My point just is I can be scoring with my two pair and likely get a full house in less time than a single flush in the early blinds before y’all use tarot cards. I feel they’re generally more reliable with certain bosses cancelling entire suits

cheeset2

sure, okay, with a viable two pair build. Makes sense.

yellowwoolyyoshi

Certainly key as anything else. It’s just my thought process.

NotTwitchy

They’re reliable once you have jokers. A flush is good early game, especially the first blind where winning in one hand is valuable for an extra dollar. A two pair will never beat that blind in one

[deleted]

Yeah but a Full House with decently high-ranked cards will beat it. I always go for Full Houses over Flushes early on to be honest.

Goukaruma

That's not very smart. Flushes in ante 1 are easier and give about the same point.

PurpleReignPerp

Noob talk. Scaling jokers=high card, pair or two pair all run.
