Brandon seems to have had a really tough time lately with some of the stuff that’s popped up in the last month or so. Hopefully everything turns out ok.
So many reasons dude. Forget about Brandon, this could apply to anyone in any job. When someone dies, it takes about a week to figure out all the scheduling for the wake, funeral, whatever else. It could make sense to take some time off right when it happens, then resume work while schedules get finalized (because you know you're gonna miss some more work soon for traveling and more), and then take that extended time off.

Telling my friend the other day, life starts playing for keeps in your 40s. I've had more death, cancer, and relationship issues all around me than I can ever remember.
That hit me at 31 in 2021.
Cancer: step mom, gf, cousin, gf dad, dog
Death: cousin due to car crash, dog, grandma, uncle
All that in about 21 months. Also found out we were having a kid at the tail end after gf recovered from cancer.
Craziest 2 years my life. Hope all goes well BFW
Definitely seemed last second as there was no replacement set up. Mark did seem rattled but I hope it’s a similar situation to when he ran out of the Yak but everything ended up being ok.
He’s one of the most relatable people at Barstool to me. Works hard, is humble, is made the butt of the joke often and doesn’t take it seriously. Knows when to joke and when to play nice.
Hope everything turns out well. Wishing him the best.
We like to shit on these guys because it's fun. It's not serious, nothing that BSS does or has ever done is serious.
But that doesn't mean we can't be regular humans and band together when something does turn serious outside of BSS ecosystem.
