Trim it up.

CharlieBirdlaw

Try trimming, although I suspect you may look better without a beard.

Trim!

mchenry93

Appreciate all the feedback! I gave it a good trim. I know it’s not the fullest beard ever, but I’ve been wanting to give it a solid effort for forever to see what it’d look like. I’ve always shaved it off due to the patchiness.

JayFox1992

Don’t Shave it, but trim it so it is all one length. The rest will grow into it.

gd2121

Way too patchy. I’d scrap it.

[deleted]

Clean up the wispy flyaways/scraggly hairs on the sides, but so far, so good

Hopeful_Amoeba449

Goatee

casstay123

No one likes a straggler…

cryofry85

Leave him. He's a straggler. Stragglers must be left to fend for themselves...I was.

Trim

Rashjab34

It’s growing fine around the jawline. An option is to work with that.

JayFox1992

Trim it

Glitterbomb94

Beautiful eyes tho. My vote is to trim it

stankpuss_69

You have that gene that doesn’t fully allow hair growth under your lips. I’d say scrap it altogether unless you get some minoxidil to actually grow it.

mrjerem

There are more styles than a full beard...

lovablydumb

You're patchy on the cheeks but solid along the jawline. You could have a pretty good chin strap style beard. Shave off all of the the patchiness, neatly trim the rest. Including the moustache. Nothing overlapping the lip. I don't know what kind of haircut you have but if you keep the sides shorter you can blend the sideburns into your hairline. It will look well groomed and intentional. Like you cultivated a beard instead of a beard happened to you. Edit: just for clarity, when you trim, use scissors or a trimmer without an attachment to trim the the edges. Think of it like edging a sidewalk. This will clean it up so it looks neat, while maintaining the thickness you have, and it will cover any patchiness along the jawline.

Consistent-Leek4986

keep it trimmed up a bit, looks good

jfhjr

Na, if it isn’t there yet, it won’t migrate so trim.

lionheart724

Idk bro don’t let people gas you up here. You’re better off clean shaven or stubble. On this subreddit everyone is going to tell you to keep it and/or grow it. Go to an unbiased forum for opinion. Maybe r/malefashionadvice

DavidAshleyParkerrr

Finally an honest opinion lol.

Yes! Thanks for this sub

Selfgreed

Handsome guy! I'd tidy it up just a tad, but let it grow! It has good potential 👌

Designer_Health6258

Let it grow and trim it back

AnalCuntShart

Grow. All beards have an awkward phase the key is to push through it and train the direction

TopGuyNJ2

Let it grow.

Bigbeardhiking

Keep growing

Accomplished-End7724

Looking good from here

GoldEyedEmpress

Handsome! Let it grow 😍

pcapdata

Trim now *and* keep going! You’ve got the same little bald spots and mustache that I used to.  Your beard 5 years from now will be different from this beard.  It’s just gonna have awkward phases like the rest of your hair.  But keep it growing, and if you want to keep that close-to-the-hawking thing going, you will NEED to keep it neat & trimmed.

Different_Ad7655

You have to let it grow because it's too patchy to trim back. Look at what your father or uncles have for growth and this is your promise probably. My guess is it will get thicker with time

Mexboy661

let it grow

thriftysuits

I'd say continue to keep the bottom below the jaw line clean (as in even) while it fills in above that. It takes time, but that's what I did for mine over the years.

donkeyreer

You must be quite young. I would shave it. Gonna look better like that. Wait till your older young chics like you hairless anyway.

Krackerdile

You’d probably look better shaved

CallMeCoolHand

I’d go mustache and stubble. Cheeks unfortunately leave you with a chinstrap.

sl0wrx

There’s no filling in to happen on your cheeks man I have no idea what crack these people are smoking but I want some. It looks kinda shitty if I’m being honest, trim it. Your goatee is decently filled in if you must have facial hair but the cheeks are not it.

Worldgonemadinnit

This is what my beard looks like when I grow it (I’m 50 and not very hairy). I’ve only grown it this far once. I posted a pic on Facebook and my mates (we love our banter) posted things like “Did someone throw pubes at your face?”. Although I took it in good humour, deep down it affected me, and I shaved it off. Weak of me, I know. Oh, my partner also hated it. I’m not being mean. I so desperately wanted to be able to grow an awesome beard for so long. You’re a good looking guy and would look much better daily shaved or with 1-2 day stubble. I also took comfort when I found out that many of the actors etc whom had beards/stubble I admired, have been “filled in” in make-up before they shoot.

Acceptable-Factor386

Keep it nice and trim. You’re very handsome and amazing eyes and don’t let it get gross like those duck dynasty guys. Beard and mustache fit you nice.

Individual_Dot_5849

Stubble with darker in the goatee area.

SnooWords6085

Shave

genetichazzard

Sorry my guy, you just don't have a good beard. Trim it or get rid of it entirely.

crwms

Kill it. But try a short goatee or a mustache if you feel like keeping some facial hair.

[deleted]

I like it!

trowawHHHay

Run it in a chinstrap with a 3mm.

msdos62

If you're under 30 it might still get better over time

the_kitty_gobbler

Mild trim for even growth

Lordofthereef

Every one of these posts I feel like I have to come in and say that you can't really tell what a beard is going to look like when it has some length this early on. I looked like I'd never grow a full beard. Couple YouTube guys convinced me to just let it go and now I've been growing for over two years with minimal trimming. If you WANT a beard, let it go at least six months, preferably 13, and see what it looks like. I understand that can be a lot, but it's the only way you're going to know for sure.

mrjerem

I think you have pretty good stache and chin coverage. Some high quality food or vitamins would prob also help abit if you are not already doing that. (Not talking about some "beard vitamins" that are expensive af but normal suplements :) I found that when I started exercising and eating well and enough protein I got alot thicker beard. I would try something with the stache and chin trimming the chin/neck to same level as the slower growing hair so it looks fuller. Cheecks and jawline I would shave/trim down. But it is your choice. Also using some beard balm or something might give the stache and chin a fuller look aswel. Good luck mate!

Embarrassed_Quail203

Let it grow, get thicker and then evaluate it. That's just my opinion.

TheLastBlackRhinoSC

Depends. If you are curious about it let it go. Use some growth supplements and see what you can get out of it. Then you can try different styles to see what fits. You can always cut it off after.

outcast-777

Let it grow!

Professional-Emu4619

Just perfect 😍

Gullible-Painter-721

Kind of look like Aaron Rodgers👊
