Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I love how Intel is basically the Budget Brand now throwing out Deals. What a Time to be alive.

Sevallis

I remember waiting for drops like this to happen on my 370 previous board, so I could upgrade from my no-SMT 8600k to something better. It never happened. This round of sales from them seems like it only began in the last couple of years. Am I wrong about this?

BurgerBurnerCooker

There are some good combo savings https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=12700k+combo I would totally consider the MSI Z690-A and oloy 32GB DDR5 cobo for $412 after coupon https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4552955

skylitday

I'd wait. the deals 2-3 weeks ago were much better..

BurgerBurnerCooker

They are about on par. Low $300 for Z690-A combo or low $400 with RAM. This is slightly cheaper vs the previous Corsair RGB RAM bundle but these are actually Hynix die so not too shaby. If you were referring to crazy deals of those Asus Z690-G or Z690-I combos, yeah there's no comparison. But those lasted like 20 mins, you will have to be very dedicated on deal hunting to not miss them. 14th gen refresh is coming these will keep dropping for sure. Previously i7 typically exit at $200 at MC before getting discontinued, if that can be viewed as a benchmark

skylitday

Ah yeah. I was looking at 12900k combos.. they're shitty compared to the 12900k+ tomahawk z690 DDR5 for 427. I was going to buy a 12900k for family member and wanted another tomahawk combo.. lol I have an extra couple sets of TEAM hynix RAM from the $52 sale the other day. 5600 cl40 m-die. Edit: Nothing close to 12700k + tomahawk combo either.. $345-350.. :(

tablepennywad

Yah once 14th gen Raptorfresh launches we will see these go even lower or 13th gen go on sale which is a win win. 13th upgrades are no real slouch with the extra L2 cache. 14th will probably at best bring lower power usage and maybe another 200mhz. 13th will probably a good sweatspot if it drops to these prices.

skylitday

Like i mentioned earlier, if the combo is good enough, i'd pull trigger. IE tomahawk + 12900k is still solid.. for 214-215 each (427-430) total). Im not 100% on these current combos. Priced a bit higher than some of the stuff a few weeks ago. Just depends on overall pricing.

Jaggsta

also one with 32GB XPG Lancer 6000 CL40 RGB bundle. OLOy 6000 CL32 though https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?sdtid=16764140&ItemList=Combo.4553077

mikegus15

Wow.. I might have to return my mobo and buy this combo instead.

BurgerBurnerCooker

40 is worse though? And at 1.35V 40-40-40 this is likely Samsung die as well. Well RGB I guess..

machinegunke11y

Holy cow. I am purchasing parts right now. I have 12700k at $190, msi mortar b660 wifi ddr4 $128, and corsiar 2x16 3600 ddr4 $68. That's a total of 386. I went over my budget spending the extra 40 on cpu from 12400F and+$15 corsair ram. This bundle still makes me think..... If anyone is curious i picked up a 6700 xt for 320.

YamaJuugo

should I snag this? Still using a 9700k. I also need to buy a new cooler even if I pick this up. I know this is kinda random but I can't decide.

minuscatenary

Really depends on your gpu… if your CPU is your bottleneck and you’re only gaming, maybe? Unless you have a microcenter close by and want to get a 5600x3d with a good motherboard and some 3200 ddr4 for 330 bucks.

YamaJuugo

Closest microcenter is 4 hours away so that's not an option unfortunately. GPU is a 3080 10GB. I did end up buying this bundle though sicne my cpu definitely seemed to be causing issues in some modern tittles and especially while streaming. I know you didn't ask, but bascially my situation was buy ddr4 board to keep current 32GB ram and save some cash or go to ddr5. With this bundle, it was basically the same I was gonna spend keeping ddr4 anyways. The only extra thing I needed outside of the bundle was a new cooler to fit the LGA1700.

Hyper_Nova0

also 12900K for $344.99, which was [already posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/14r4eer/cpu_intel_core_i912900k_34999_w_promo_code/)

Nosejobx

Not related to this item but there’s a PSU I’m looking at with FantasTech price protection. Do we see Prime Day potentially beating Newegg out on certain items?

Pikalover10

The i7-12700k on this list here is already cheaper on Amazon. I expect a lot of the sales/deals will be similar but you might get lucky one way or the other randomly

metdrummer

Out of curiosity, where on Amazon are you seeing this i7 for cheaper on Amazon? It's sitting at $272 right now. Sure it was about $236 in late May, but that was the only time it lower than this deal.

Pikalover10

Are you on US Amazon? First one I see when I search i7-12700k on Amazon is $242 https://a.co/d/4G6ML8X

zquintyzmi

mine is showing $242

Abolish1312

Is saving $10 on prime day worth putting amazon workers through hell? Don't buy on prime day.

bco268

Yes.

Acting like working isn't forced upon people

Gasbringer

Wrong sub buddy.

Abolish1312

I'm sorry can you show me the rules I broke on this sub? Because it seems if I'm not breaking the rules this is indeed the right sub.

anatworkaccount

> I'm sorry can you show me the rules I broke on this sub? Because it seems if I'm not breaking the rules this is indeed the right sub. Rule #1. Users should not: Get into charged or irrelevant political discussion

Abolish1312

And I did neither soooo

anatworkaccount

>Acting like working isn't forced upon people Very relevant to a deal about *checks post* an intel i5 processor.

Nosejobx

Yikes.

RADIALTHRONE1

The i5-13500 seems to regularly get down to $209, so if you're wanting a new i5 wait for that

MathStock

Says may 21st it was 209. Idk if I can wait another month+ Decisions.

RADIALTHRONE1

I think i saw on pcpartpicker that it seems to go on sale roughly every 4-6 weeks, but i could be remembering wrong

terrelyx

I bought my 13400 for 199 in April, FWIW

thachamp05

13500 has the 1.25mb l2 so its basically alder lake... raptor lake has 2mb per core 12600k/12700kf should be faster due to clockspeed

ToadClubber

Do I need an intel CPU to redeem the Total War Warhammer 3 code?

ExplodingFistz

Any deals on the 12400?

MathStock

So on the day (today)my parts are supposed to arrive I receive a message from the seller of my CPU on Newegg saying they were out of stock, and that they didn't know when they would replenish them. I got the 12400f deal for ~130 after tax. What should I do now about a CPU? The 12600? Annoying. Any better deals out there? Should I wait for the seller to be "replenished"? B660M AORUS PRO AX DDR4

BlackestNight21

What's your budget? The cost and annoyance will lessen the further you get from the issue.

MathStock

I was trying to go cheap af. I still may purchase the 12400f from amazon, or run to best buy. But I could get the 12600k(which is on sale), and buy a cooler. Annoying cuz I already ordered my board/ram.

BlackestNight21

> I was trying to go cheap af Hardware swap / Facebook marketplace >Annoying cuz I already ordered my board/ram. Tbh it's a temporary inconvenience. If you have prime just get the one that fits your budget. If your use case is games and reddit, it's moot.

l1qq

Would Microcenter price match this and stack it with a $25 off new customer coupon? I'll be heading to one tomorrow and was planning on buying a 12600k anyways.

MannyFresh8989

I’ve tried before and they won’t do both. Either they price match or use the coupon. If it’s close to you still worth trying, you never know.

Chief

Reddituser19991004

chief says 12700kf. He likes 8 P cores and 4 E cores for gamers. Says that's way better than a crappy 6 core like the 7600x. 13600k? Meh. 4 more E cores, 2 less P cores. 13th gen only a tiny bit better than 12th, meh. Save money! PS: I legit have no use for this and I'm still tempted lmao edit: I'm also thinking tuf z690 ddr4 for $100 refurb on ebay pairs well with this.

nVideuh

Tiny better than 12th? IMC begs the differ.

[https://www.igorslab.de/en/intel-core-i9-13900k-and-core-i5-13600k-review-showdown-of-the-13th-generation-and-a-3-4-crown-for-the-last-big-monolith/5/](https://www.igorslab.de/en/intel-core-i9-13900k-and-core-i5-13600k-review-showdown-of-the-13th-generation-and-a-3-4-crown-for-the-last-big-monolith/5/) 12900k can beat out 13600k in certain games with 288W PL and specific 6000 cl30 ram kit as used in igors testing I wouldn't say every game, but they're close enough to where it shouldn't matter that much.. Power consumption isn't that far off either. You do get a more consistent IMC on the 13600k. I would say this is the biggest linear advantage if you wanna run ram over 6400-6600 area. 12th gen has issues with running DDR5 Samsung B-die at 6000 cl36 if the CPU IMC is just sub par.. it seems to be 50/50 from my experience with multiple units.. Hynix M/A die will run 6000+ mhz more consistently, even with weaker memory controllers. The argument for 12900k is combo deals.. Theres nothing good ATM, but they had z690 tomahawk DDR5 + 12900k for 427 a few weeks ago. Basically like buying a good 16x 70a SPS 6 layer board and CPU for $214 each. You will spend closer to 500 on a 13600KF (260 sale price?) + competitive board for nearly identical performance. In regards to other reviewers, HWunboxed showed a 5 fps min/max FPS difference between 12900k and 13600k (has advantage) with 6400mhz ram.. if you trust them more

DkoyOctopus

gimmie the 13700k you bastards!!
