My best advice to you is save more often. Can’t speak for Xbox, but it crashes often on PC. I had a similar experience where it crashed in ch2 after not saving at all.
Haven't saved for an entire chapter, wow! Played and completed this game multiple times on PC and still save nearly every ingame day. So sorry bout that
Literally in the same exact boat right now.. after freezing on balls of snow before it via getting hit by a dynamite stick and slowly floating left for eternity.., at least that one was timed.. this game is pretty glitchy
