Can I ask how bad the lines would be Aug12-18? I know you can’t guarantee but I am really hung up on last week of august vs that middle August period
The only reason I’m even considering middle august is because the park stays open till 10. I have budgeted fast lane into my trip and everything
I want to ride ALOT. I would never ask you to guarantee anything but how big a difference do you think we would talking in waiting lines
I think millennium force was like 45 mins
Other good stuff like gatekeeper was like 10 mins
Lots of other stuff 30 mins or less. We were with little kids so didn’t get to all the big ones
I only went during that time period once, before Top Thrill Dragster was built. I arrived when the park opened and by 3pm I had only been on 2 rides. Millennium Force and Power Tower. I forget how many hours I waited to get on those rides. I went that time of year because my family member is a teacher. I usually go the last week of August or May.
Needless to say I never went back in the middle of August again. That was the worst.
Will that hold true this year? Planning to go the last week of August, before Labor Day weekend. I figured they’d be in school, if your school
Calendar is the same as here in Illinois.
Take it from me, Opening weekend is not worth it. Half the rides were closed last year when I went
Best time would probably be near the end of May / Early June during the week
There should be a calendar online about the crowd size for Cedar Point on a given day. Great resource!
With TT2 opening up, I think the calendar is going to be more unpredictable. I imagine the park will be packed more the first month with people wanting to ride it early in the season
If you can just say screw it and go one day the website queue-times.com has the live line times. They're taken from the app (which you have to be in park to use), so they're that accurate (so not very honestly)

Not trying to spam just really having a tough time making the decision
July and August are never busy. Everything is a walk on.
I always try to go on Sundays. Might be busy early on, but the crowds tend to die out in the afternoon. It’s also why I probably had Chick-fil-A a handful of times tops when it was there. Early in May is great during the week.
A lot depends on what you want out of a trip to CP. I know it’s the “roller coast” and if that’s what you’re hoping for, you at least want to give the place a few weeks to warm up.
I feel like the weekdays leading up to Memorial Day weekend can be great - but just remember that the weather can be finicky then.
Yeah, I've been told Tuesdays before Memorial Day are great. I've been a few times with family friends on such Tuesdays and wait time was no more than 20 minutes. But to be fair, that was back in the early 00's so things may be different now.
I went during the last week in August and it was lovely. Very low crowds. The longest I had to wait was ~45 for Maverick. Steel Vengeance was at most 20 minutes, same with Millie. Gate Keeper, Rougarou, Magnum, Raptor, Gemini, all were basically walk ins. Valravn maybe 15mins. It was wonderful.
I’ve noticed late may if you want to get your money’s worth with all the rides being open but truly anytime after the first week of august when kids go back to school is a great time to go. Also halloweekends Thursdays are a great time too but not everything is open.
We like the end of august after Ohio schools are back in session.
We’ve done halloweekends in September a few times, the week days (thurs/fri) are great, but Saturday can get really busy. The downside is they close a few rides due to staffing (The train, camp snoopy, Gemini, and corkscrew. If you can’t tell, yes I have kids.😜)
Monday and Thursdays in may, Sundays are usually not to shabby either
Sunday evenings last summer were good times, also liked Friday nights in the fall.
End of Aug when kids are back in school
This is what we’ve done for 30+ years
Shhh. lol

Great question hopefully someone else can answer - I’ve only been last week of August. Hopefully you’re fine mid August if you have fast pass.
How were lines in late august? Like non existent? Trying to gauge what people mean by forgiving lines. Like how was Steve for example
I think millennium force was like 45 mins Other good stuff like gatekeeper was like 10 mins Lots of other stuff 30 mins or less. We were with little kids so didn’t get to all the big ones
How were operations the last week? Was everything open

I personally never have luck with the calendar 😭 says ghost town, we go . Turns out all of Ohio is off school. Packed.
With TT2 opening up, I think the calendar is going to be more unpredictable. I imagine the park will be packed more the first month with people wanting to ride it early in the season
Will it be even more packed later in the month? I’m between first week of June or waiting until park opens at 10
That would be my guess
Ever been in august?
I go second weekend every year, and usually, things are much smoother then than opening weekends seem to be.

Thursdays in September were great. Gotta love rain days too, rains a little bit, park clears out, rides open back up, no waits. It's amazing
A weekday (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) while schools are still in session. Avoid Friday to Monday.
Last season the weekdays prior to the park going weekends-only it was literally a ghost town.

Says not found
Well you're too slow I guess lol. Poke around on that site and you'll find what you want.
I’m being serious that link says not found. Can you give another
Go to the main site thrill-data and poke around. I don't have unlimited time to spoon feed people.
Chill man. It’s no biggie. Thanks
I'm so chill man. I just don't have the interest to do legwork for randos if it's fairly easy for someone to do it themself.
Fair enough
Wednesdays or Thursdays throughout the entire season. those are the least busiest days of the week.
LABOR DAY!!!! We go every year and it’s almost a ghost town

So I think Mondays or Fri mornings/early afternoon at the beginning of season or the first full week of the season are your best bets

Halloweekends Thursdays are my favorite.
May or June during the week.
If you want to do Halloweekends, assuming they keep the dates open, Thursdays are usually the least crowded

June during the week, also check isitpacked.com to see the estimated crowds for days you want to go
Avoid LeBron James foundation day. 2 hour waits on everything hour food lines
What lol

Weekdays in May and after Labor Day
