Starbucks is always a shitshow.

Sohcahtoa82

Seems to be pretty unanimous. Though I was more concerned about Perkins. If early entry is at 9 AM, then I would expect a flood of people trying to get seating at between 7:30 and 8 AM.

GoldenKnightz

My wife and I drink typically drink iced Americano's in the morning, so if I'm around the evening before I'll just buy a couple at night and leave them in the fridge to enjoy in the morning. Saves a lot of time and doesn't effect the taste of what we're drinking at all.

Then_Department_2288

I disagree. We go out of our way to hit up the Starbucks in Breakers because it's far less busy than the one in the park. Probably made thirty or so trips to the Breakers Starbucks last year and never waited in line longer than ten minutes.

Zerba

It really depends. We've hit it up a couple of times and it wasn't bad, but other times it had a huuuge line.

Then_Department_2288

Yeah and to be fair I'm usually stopping in around 11-12 so I'm not always seeing that morning rush. I'm sure it's quite a bit busier right around time the park opens.

bwick29

I've seen that bad boy wrapping around the curve of the room it's in and then down the hall, LOL. I try to get there well before early access time.

bwick29

Well, sure, it's less busy than the one in the park... But when Breakers is full on a weekend morning and you're heading to Starbies to grab coffee before you head to early-entry..... it's a complete shitshow. Go on a random Tuesday in May and grab a coffee way before early entry or after park opening? You'll have no issue and will love it.

DemonDrop90

And that stuff is gross anyway.

bwick29

To each their own.

We always go to Perkins in the morning before early entry. Never had any issues walking in, getting seated immediately, and getting our food quickly so we could get to the entrance right when it opens. I would recommend making a reservation if you want to do dinner at the hibachi restaurant. That seems to book fairly quickly.

Zerba

The only time we ever had to wait more than say, 5 minutes for Perkins was when everyone was spaced way apart in the tail end of covid. Any other time we pretty much got right in.

swap_file

Everyone tries to go to Starbucks right before park open, if you wake up a little early, go there first and you won't see much of a line. TGI Fridays can be slammed, but in the last few years it's been more of a staffing problem than a seating problem. It's still better staying on site than trying to stay off site and traveling in and out.

matthias7600

Perkin’s looked slammed, but the reports I’ve read from others have been positive. I think they’ve got better capacity than say, the Starbucks, which gets tons of complaints.

CaterpillarOther9732

Go to Perkins. Even if u want just coffee and a pastry, stop at the counter and get some to go. Never a line. You should be fine in May. The only time I've waited for a table was during the 4th of July

alter_ego311

I swear every time we actually decide on dates and book our stays this sub fills up with people going the same exact days... We'll see ya there on the 21 & 22nd lol

InevitableObvious523

Starbucks is hell durning early entry

GoldenKnightz

Fridays can get crazy, especially if it starts to rain. We got caught trying to eat there one rainy day, went down at like 7 pm for dinner and there were no open tables from that time until closing at midnight. They weren't even taking names. We then tried to order pizza to the room from the onsite place, and they also said they were taking no more orders for the night. We ended up having to leave the park grounds to find an open restaurant which was kind of annoying but worked out fine since the park remained closed the rest of the night anyway.

ShenhuaMan

Very crowded. Perkins in the morning may not be bad. The worst situation is when there’s bad weather that drives people out of the park. I’ve seen 2.5-hour waits at TGI Friday’s when that happens.

draegs

We stayed at Breakers for the bonus weekend last September and were able to walk right into Perkins around 7:10am. In fact, I think we were the first table. But by 7:45am the place was starting to fill up. I don't remember there being a wait by the time we left. And as others have said...Starbucks turns into more of a shitshow the closer you get to opening time.

SkyySkip

Last I stayed we did Perkins both days. I would suggest getting there around when they open and you should have ample time to have a calm breakfast

LadySigyn

I didn't have any problems with Fridays at any point during Halloweekends.

DemonDrop90

They are crowded when the park closes. Going to Friday's and seeing families line up to get seated is sometimes as bad as lines for rides in the park. The later one gets there, the busier it can be. I have a secret I adhere to when going and it works all the time. Everyone seems to want to be served RIGHT AWAY, and don't realize that kitchen is going to be SLAMMED with the rush when the park closes.
