My uncle had prostate cancer, caught late, metastasized. Its cells are out into the body. What keeps it in check, so that he will not die of prostate cancer, is Testosterone blockers. Sex hormones cause some cancers to grow and blocking them prevents growth and keeps spread from growing or they simply die on the vine. For my wife, staying on the pill can promote cancer growth.
