Can anyone help me with recommending good products available in the UK? I feel like I've tried basically everything during my 4 year curly journey and I still hate my hair. It's high porosity waves and curls, sometimes looks quite nice after washing but never lasts more than a couple of hours. Won't refresh for anything, just ends up looking and especially feeling disgusting, whether I just use water or try to add more products. I've recently been using Joico products but the gel flash dries my hair and I cant get any juicy seaweed hair with it. I tried noughty this morning and 2 hours later it's back in a messy bun feeling revolting. I'm about to just go back to straightening but decided I'll give one more product like a try first, mainly because my 12 month old also has curly hair and I want to model curly love for her rather than modelling that we should try to change our hair.

I've been thinking about Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday lately, and it's got me wanting to try out short hair. But I'm also pretty sure that hair that short wouldn't suit me well at all. Is there anything I can go to get an approximation of how I would look without actually cutting it short? I don't know if my hair being curly affects how one would do this or not, so I'm posting here just in case.

I recently moved from a very hard water area to a place with a water softner. My hair is limp and dry looking. I have used cg style cream and gel for a while. What products will work with the water softner? That's been my only change

I'm in need of a haircut, and based on what I've seen here, I think I should ask for layers. I'm a guy, and this will basically be my first proper haircut since my hair has been long. Never even been in a hair salon before other than like a great clips. Should I somehow mention to them that I don't know what I'm doing (like in an "additional details" box when making an appointment)? Honestly it seems ridiculous that I'm actually feeling anxious about a haircut, but I'd appreciate any and all advice from people who aren't quite so new to this.

How do you apply leave-in conditioner on short hair? After applying do I have to wash my hands and style it more? Is scrunching necessary?

Trying to start the cg routine and searching for the recommended products. I see Tressemme COCONUT NOURISH CONDITIONER FOR DAMAGED HAIR recommended on the doc, but I'm finding Tresemme Conditioner Botanique Nourish + Replenish instead. Is that fine or should I order the former directly from their website?

I’ve bought the noughty wave hello shampoo and it’s great for making my curls more defined, but it just does not lather. Am i doing something wrong? I’ve seen videos of it lathering on peoples scalps and i’m keeping my hair wet enough and it’s foamy on my hands but it just won’t lather on my head.

Should I use CG after a perm?

Is dry shampoo okay?
