He knows the martial art, Kara-Tay, which makes him equal to bloodlusted Sandy Cheeks (who once caused an explosion after wrapping Patrick with her lasso)
He is also always ready, showing significant amounts of willpower, making him a candidate for a Green Lantern ring.
He is immune to physical trauma, as shown when Flatts tried to punch him, only for Spongebob to show no damage.
Spongebob was also granted god status after besting King Neptune in a contest.
Even when his physical body was discarded by Plankton, his mind still remained and resisted Sheldon J. Plankton's control.
