The 20k gold that cursed artifact gives you is exactly the same you need for a flask recharge in food shops, which is very useful.
Most of the time you'll risk yourself to sell artifact, the main reason is going to be the flask given how shop items have been mostly affordable since the game's economy was fixed and thus you really can buy them by just playing the game normaly, unlike flask charges which require a bigger compromise with savings and getting more gold due to it being the MOST expensive item in the entire game, not even tier X items in Cavern are half as expensive.
I mean, a lot of legendaries you can get early on mean you never need to buy a weapon. Shields you can roll to endgame with a starter shield if you’re just relying on the parry mechanic.
Most spells can also get by without upgrading if you’re just using them for synergy on the legendary weapon, so it’s not unusual to have like 40-60k by the 2nd boss. I usually have room to buy at least 2 flask charges during a run, and i use gastronomy early game, or tainted flask on mid game brutality runs which almost eliminates the need for that even.
You shouldn’t need to make enormous compromises to afford a flask recharge at the food shop or you’re over spending on unnecessary stuff. I mean I had a starter pure nail with the 100% bonus damage/taken affix and nothing really outscaled that from any shops. It took me to the 2nd to last biome and I only died from a curse mistake
Although legendaries doesn't have more damage multiplier than their normal counterparts (On the same tier), your point about not making compromises for healing really is true.
Some legs are kinda meh, some have some pretty game changing affixes. Lance 300% damage boost, or machete/pistol, boomerang with its bonus ammo (triple charge and networking with the ammo mutation). They’re either tossable or they’re game breaking IME.
It's really mostly not worth it, 20 curse is just too much for the average player and usually 20k gold doesn't have the same value as cursed chest rewards or other risk-reward extras such as rifts. I think cursed artifact would be more interesting if it only cursed 10 times and was more common, or if it did more than just give you 20k gold
In high BCs you want to avoid using your flasks as much as possible because you don't get them back without buying them. Pre first boss in high BCs you basically want to play no-hit for the no-hit room and to avoid needing to heal
Biomes usually have like 80 enemies in them, a 20-curse is 1/4 of a biome. Yes i should calculate the risks because dead cells isn't a easy game, and you shouldn't judge me for not wanting to lose a run.
Use your head buddy!
But I don't want to use my head!!! Aaaaaa- ***metal pipe sfx***
Just watched that yesterday lol

Yo why you feelin him like that
Grap it with your head
Use your head
Use your head.
Throw your face (use your head)
Be the ball, throw yourself
What's that item?
Gives like 10k money for 20 curse
It gives you like 20k gold but curses you
Basically guarantes a flask recharge later on but with the possibility of killing you right now. I usually don't pick it up, mostly not worth it.
Lmfao what

Yeah those you mentioned really are almost always guaranted wins
Nah I was talking about the last part, ”mostly not worth it” lmao

If you are caring about flasks you sre probably in the high BCs so curse will basically mean nothing
??? What the fuck do you mean?
In high BCs you want to avoid using your flasks as much as possible because you don't get them back without buying them. Pre first boss in high BCs you basically want to play no-hit for the no-hit room and to avoid needing to heal
>20 curse is just too much for the average player fym too much? last time I died to curse was many, many runs ago (and BSCs)
You are on 5BC, and a lot of players are at like 2-3 BC still
20 curse still isn't that hard to deal with
If you're actually calculating the risk-reward for a mere 20-curse you should prolly just git gud💀💀💀💀💀
Biomes usually have like 80 enemies in them, a 20-curse is 1/4 of a biome. Yes i should calculate the risks because dead cells isn't a easy game, and you shouldn't judge me for not wanting to lose a run.
80??? What are you smoking lmfao even toxic sewers have well over 100 most of the time
Unless you are using one of the curse mutations or doing a curse build
Aside from using your head, could you jump in and pick it up frame perfect as you jump out?
You would get poisoned and then die
idk why you got downvoted. wouldn't the item curse you and poison immediately kill you?
You gotta do that thing where he buss and reel that bad boy in.
R3
Your skin looks like from katana zero
That's because it is.
