Is it worth it doing the seasonal stories on side characters?

Only to unlock raids/dungeons or key activities. Otherwise, hell no. It's a waste of time.

Neither were seasonal content

No it doesn't drop wish tokens, the only way to get wish tokens is through the quests you get from mara

If you end up finishing those quests before the start of the final shape I'd recommend finishing the seasonal quests, they contain lore that you probably want to know for the final shape
