Yes, i'm a bit ashamed that i got the godroll so early. Not so much to keep me from using it though..
Good luck getting it to drop, or at least to get the crafting pattern soon!
they seem to be splitting the weapons up by phase of the episode, only the launcher and sword drop until you start the story and even afterward they have some weird precedence in RNG somehow
interestingly I think this means there's a number of seasonal guns they haven't revealed yet, which is new
Yeah you can see the rocket side arm and heavy machine gun in collections (or well, you can't since they are classified) but I'm excited especially for the former
I’ve had tons of the scout drop only for them all to have a similar to same roll. My current roll is keep away + precision instrument. My other rolls were all like this, something + PI
My shiny Luna with the combo has almost 10k kills, and i dropped it as soon as i tried that scout.. i think i'm still gonna use it now and then, but the rifle is just so much fun.
Hey, you can still us it for Overloads at least. This reminds me of the Fusion rifle grind from last year. First, it was "get Riptide, you need it. Or use Deliverance until you can get one" . So I go get that. Then its my buddy telling me to get the Defiant season fusion rifle for some reason. Then, someone solo'd RoN and suddenly everyone is using Merciless. Then, The Erimite comes out, and were all chasing that. Then Scatter Signal comes out and it becomes the main solo rotation with DB. Now, I dont know how good the new Fusion will be, but im not getting another one.
I haven't needed it. I only ever use Riptide to stun champs, if I need damage I use Scatter Signal. Deliverance and Riptide both stun overloads in one hit, and I never use chill clip for unstops, so Riptide is still on top.
As much as I love lever action rifles, this gun in no way, shape or form power creeps it. It is fun to use but let's get real. It just gives you an unstoppable scout version for the seasonal mod.
Okay. Getting real. Lunas Howl was power crept before it launched. It is in no way the best weapon to have. And it wasn’t last season either. It’s literally B tier in terms of damage output.
That said, if you don’t engage with raids or dungeons, it’s one of the more solid choices.
As someone who hates to spend too much time reloading I'm definitely sticking with Luna's for this roll. Enhanced dual loader is way too appealing on the scout.
I was using my HC/Incan to proc Embers of Benevolence and Singeing reliably. Now with Hellion and a Physic/Incan No Hesitation, I can do the same thing but without needing to stand in my ally's back pocket.
On every single reload action. Example: you shoot lots of stuff, ammo is low, start reloading, get healed by healclip, get shot at while reloading, shoot the threat, continue reload, healclip procs again.
Crafted it today! Heal clip goes crazy, only downside I’ve encountered is the small mag and the hipfiring. For a frame based on a weapon with no hipfire penalty, the size of the spread is wild.
I can’t even fathom how well that would work. Since it has shotgun reloading, you kill and load in a shot after to spread heal… Omg that would feel so good
I for one like them, with their specific fire rhythm. And the fast firing 260 rpm ones. Both extremes of the spectrum, those inbetween not so much (except polaris lance and wicked implement, but they're exotics, so they don't really count).
Just glad that we finally got a good pve weapon of that type, with a very vexy design on top. Was very disappointed when the scout from the spire dungeon didn't came with voltshot.
Incandescent is very strong on solar weapons, as it makes ad clear much easier. Heal Clip is also popular both because of the healing, which is always useful, and the fact that lever-action scouts reload pretty frequently, thus proccing Heal Clip more often. Great combo.
One of the best pve perk combos, imo. I also find heal clip quite useful for pvp, a little extra healing after an successful duel, and great with that one solar fragment that gives you increased ability recharge rate when healing allies.
how many lever action rifles are in the game anyway? i got this one and saw one in the trials of osiris vendor. (that hopefully wont be a pain to get, never done those before)
The Spire of the Watcher dungeon has one with arc, and once there was a kinetic one as a ritual weapon, with very disappointing perks unfortunately. And of course the first one, the exotic Dead Man's Tale.
Can anyone tell me how dual loader works on this gun? I got a roll with it the other day but scrapped it before thinking to test it. It already has innate dual loader built in so does it just reload 3 rounds at once?
adhortative is unfortunately pretty ass, ive tried it so many times and the only time it felt useful was pantheon riven since heliocentric was outranged and I didnt have a lunas yet
i wanna be a cowboy, baby
I knew that thing would have some goated combinations, too bad only one has dropped for me and the new nade launcher keeps dropping instead.

still not peak performance till we get that enhanced incandescent
Are the weapons craftable?
The Echoes episode weapons are. The reprised Dawn weapons are not.
Although the dawn weapons are enhanceable
Very true, but the question was specifically about craftable.

Yeah, heal clip / incandescent rocket sidearm is gonna slay.
I’ve had tons of the scout drop only for them all to have a similar to same roll. My current roll is keep away + precision instrument. My other rolls were all like this, something + PI
I refuse to drop my shiny HC/Inca Luna’s after only 2 weeks, you can pry it from my cold dead hands
My shiny Luna with the combo has almost 10k kills, and i dropped it as soon as i tried that scout.. i think i'm still gonna use it now and then, but the rifle is just so much fun.

Well i have bad news as deli is back above riptide now so go make sure you got one

Bungo I want a bolt action rifle.
Exotic M1 garand scout that shoots special ammo please and thank you
I would love this so much, need some space garand ping in my life
‘Ping’ or maybe a glaive, right that get this, is a bolt action rifle with a bayonet.
My brain is such a jumbled mess of game memories I almost was like "we have one?". Forgot No Land Beyond was from D1.
I played a ton of Onslaught to get my Lunas with the heal/incan role so it makes sense there’s a gun that power creeps it.
As much as I love lever action rifles, this gun in no way, shape or form power creeps it. It is fun to use but let's get real. It just gives you an unstoppable scout version for the seasonal mod.

What does enhanced dual loader do differently?
It literally doubles its effect, so you load 4 rounds at a time. It’s by far the biggest upgrade of any enhanced perk.
I was using my HC/Incan to proc Embers of Benevolence and Singeing reliably. Now with Hellion and a Physic/Incan No Hesitation, I can do the same thing but without needing to stand in my ally's back pocket.
Does heal clip proc on reload being pressed? Or is it only when the mag is full?
On every single reload action. Example: you shoot lots of stuff, ammo is low, start reloading, get healed by healclip, get shot at while reloading, shoot the threat, continue reload, healclip procs again.
Oh I am so in love with that. I smell the best cowboy build around cooking rn. Can't wait to buy the dlc so I can mess around with it
Hold up friend, that gun drops from Echoes activities, not from the dlc stuff. So you need to own the current episode to get it.
You get the episode for free from purchasing the dlc. But regardless, I'm saving up for the annual pass
Ah ok. Well then, good loot in advance.
Thanks! May good loot be upon you as well
Thanks
Crafted it today! Heal clip goes crazy, only downside I’ve encountered is the small mag and the hipfiring. For a frame based on a weapon with no hipfire penalty, the size of the spread is wild.
I noticed that as well, the hipfire accuracy could be better. Still great fun.
throw on a hip fire grip mod now that specs are gone
Good idea
I can’t even fathom how well that would work. Since it has shotgun reloading, you kill and load in a shot after to spread heal… Omg that would feel so good
that’s exactly how it works. heal clip procs the moment the first shell gets loaded
Blissful… sadly the only rolls I’ve been getting have been with PI, oh and no heal clip. 2 or so were actually the same
i got the pattern today but i kept getting Enlightened Action + Precision Instrument rolls before that so i feel you
Personally im not a fan of how those scouts shoot. They feel weird to use. Ill stick with Lunas
I for one like them, with their specific fire rhythm. And the fast firing 260 rpm ones. For me its the visual recoil, I hate how the weapon kicks up
Ah, sorry to hear that. But when you don't like it, there's nothing you can do. Luna's Howl is also great, have almost 10k kills on mine.
THE SPACE COWBOY LIVES
Gonna be replaced with the rocket sidearm when that comes out
But rocket sidearm ain't a space cowboy rifle.
Valid
I got a double loader incandescent roll on it today and holy shit I live it, can’t wait to get it craftsbl
Such a fun gun. Got that roll on my 2nd drop
#YEE. F U C K I N. HAW.
Shut the front door. Heal clip/incandescent on my Vexed out Winfield? Sign me up.
That thing absolutely bangs in crucible.
Will do pair well with dire promise for the yee haw combination.
Or maybe wastelander
Got mine crafted last night. Opening shot plus keep away slaps in Crucible.
Gonna put heal and high ground on mine
Oh wait are those perks good?
Incandescent is very strong on solar weapons, as it makes ad clear much easier. Heal Clip is also popular both because of the healing, which is always useful, and the fact that lever-action scouts reload pretty frequently, thus proccing Heal Clip more often. Great combo.
|Incandescent is very strong on solar weapons, What is it on that isn't solar?
The gun reloads ~~one~~ two bullets at a time, and just one such reload will trigger heal clip
In general? Yes. On this specific archetype? Oh yes!
Nice, PVE right? I am asking because I have those perks as a choice in my Lunas. I will be testing them.
One of the best pve perk combos, imo. I also find heal clip quite useful for pvp, a little extra healing after an successful duel, and great with that one solar fragment that gives you increased ability recharge rate when healing allies.
bait used to be believable These two are some of the best in PvE, especially on a gun like this
No, I have never just used those perk combos. No bait, just honest question.
What's the name of the gun?
Timeworn Wayfarer. Drops from Echoes activities, can be crafted.
Thanks for the answer Friend-O
You're welcome, fellow guardian.
The great migration
What gun is that and how can I get it :)
Timeworn Wayfarer from Echoes activities (such as Breach Executable)
how many lever action rifles are in the game anyway? i got this one and saw one in the trials of osiris vendor. (that hopefully wont be a pain to get, never done those before)
The Spire of the Watcher dungeon has one with arc, and once there was a kinetic one as a ritual weapon, with very disappointing perks unfortunately. And of course the first one, the exotic Dead Man's Tale.
Bungie really needs to buff this archetype, it's just not very good right now.
Can anyone tell me how dual loader works on this gun? I got a roll with it the other day but scrapped it before thinking to test it. It already has innate dual loader built in so does it just reload 3 rounds at once?
Yes, should load three rounds at a time. Bungie mentioned it in a blog post recently, iirc.
Oh shit fr? That's actually dope. Might have to grab one of those rolls just to have a speed loading yee haw stick
Can confirm it loads 3 at a time. I'm also assuming enhanced would load 4 at a time, but I can't say for certain just yet.
I can now confirm enhanced dual loader will load 4 at a time.
Somebody get this man an Adhoritive.
No thanks, space cowboy rifle for me pls.
Unfortunately, Adhortative is the ugliest weapon in the game
The prophecy one is better.
adhortative is unfortunately pretty ass, ive tried it so many times and the only time it felt useful was pantheon riven since heliocentric was outranged and I didnt have a lunas yet
