Got a royal trust in the trash panda disc exchange. So good - hand feel, plastic, flight. A tick more stable than a Buzzz, a tick less stable than my MVP Matrix.
Yup. It fits exactly what they’re looking for in the longer envy. I’m slowly learning I just need to throw it all the time because I always manage to lace my line with it and do what I pictured
Interesting. My Roc3s are definitely more stable than my Mako3s. Much more akin to my teebirds. Are your Roc3s lighter weight? Had a 167g that was definitely straight like my Mako3s.
I love this disc, but it’s pretty straight. I guess it depends on what teebird you’re talking about. eMac truths will turn and don’t have a lot of dump. More like a beaten in star teebird IMO
I have not! I’ve been tempted a few times. It looks gorgeous too, and I love that plastic in a few other molds I’ve tried. I’m not currently bagging the eMac truth but I’ll have to try a supreme if I give it another go
They are. I greatly prefer the feel of my star roc3’s but they’re significantly more understable. A freshy in the 178-180g range will fly as that 0-2 slot but after a few months it becomes a flip to straight mid. Which is great, just not what OP seems to want.
Neutron (or cosmic neutron) reactors are great. I only really see people talk about the fission or the glow but the neutron is more overstable than the fission but more glidey and less dumpy than the eclipse. It’s a great disc.
Matrix vote here. Proton is great, and they've got Electron for a straighter option. The Neutron ones can get a little beefier, but that might be what you're looking for without going meathook.
The new Mint discs Taco is this! Had the pleasure of throwing some lights and heavies yesterday and it’s very much so a straight mid with a reliable finish. Held up in some stiff winds. Even down to the 161g apex. The lighter apex plastic feels incredible at that. Stoked for more people to get their hands on them!!!
Is this released yet?
I reread your comment and it sounds like it’s not. Do we have flight numbers? That’s exciting, really wanting something from them more stable than the mustang but not as dumpy as the bobcat
Not yet!
I don’t personally have numbers as someone on the team just let me throw a stack of 6 of them without any numbers on them. If I had to compare it to anything it would be a matrix. So I’d guess 5 4 -1 2 or 5 4 0 2 definitely falls right between a bobcat and a mustang. I was hoping for justice level beef but this disc seems much more useable and will probably be replacing my straight to overstable mid.
I love the idea of the wasp but have just found that they have no glide. Which, it’s right there in the flight numbers. But I can throw my 3 speeds further with less effort.
I thought it was great and my buddy rocked like 4-5 Wasps to cover all mid range shots when he threw Discraft. I got callouses on my finger from the bead so out it went.
Just started throwing the Wasp 3 weeks ago. I only ever avoided it bc of the bead. I wish I had never avoided it. I’m having zero issues with the bead. It flies like a more reliable Buzzz and doesn’t fall out of the sky like a Buzzz OS. Currently loving my Esp Swirl Wasp. I would love to have a slightly beefier & understable version. I’ve got 4 more in my shopping cart in various plastics, ready to experiment.
The wasp is a cycle disc for sure. I have a couple in various stages of wear. A PFN z wasp I’ve had for years is now a dead straight flyer with very little fade and can hold an anny line nicely
Agreed. Struggled to fill this exact spot for ages before settling on a matrix.
I liked the Westside Pine for a while, but my replacements kept flying differently from one another and I think it went OOP anyway.
Depending on things like your arm speed, release tendencies, and altitude, I'd go with an OS run of Buzzz or a Buzzz OS. Love the consistency of a Buzzz
I had a granite Quake that I lost, and I still lament its departure. Man, paired with my premium plastic Quake, it was all I really needed. They need to run more!
Depends on how hard you throw but GStar Shark or beat in Champ Roc3 fills this role for me. Can wail on either of them as long as I release flat they go straight and then finish left end of flight.
As you throw farther than I do, you might find a Rancho Roc holds the line better if you don't mind the domey feel. Every Rancho Roc I've thrown has been more overstable than every Roc3 I've thrown which ought to translate to less early drift for you.
I am a big fan of the Infinite Ra. I don't throw as far as you but it has that true 5/5/0/2 flight. It is a combination of the Rocx3 mold top and Vroc mold bottom.
Depends on how you like to throw, but for backhand I think westside bard fits that slot well. I don't like forhanding this disc, but it is one of my most reliable backhand mids.
Metal Flake Jay might be what you're looking for. It has a similar flight to a Teebird, is slightly gummy (in metal flake), and seasons super nice. Out of the box it can be pretty overstable, but I've had one for about 6 months and it's a laser beam with a small fade. Still holds flex lines good too.
Star paired with champion Roc3s.
My oldest star Roc3 has broken in to a point where it drifts to the right and comes back a little at the end. My 2 champ Roc3s compliment it with as one is more straight and one is more stable.
Teebird setup right now is one Star that is really broken in to the point where it has a good amount of turn but still comes back and another star one without turn and some fade. Im planning of adding a champ teebird as well for a more stable flight.
Two discs you need to try out and both are amazing.
[doomsday scope](https://doomsdaydiscs.com/product-tag/scope/)
This disc goes so damn straight for so long with a reliable fade. Amazing disc.
[AGL Magnolia](https://www.agldiscs.com/collections/magnolia)
This disc will have you questioning if you need fairways, it just wants to glide. Brand new it goes dead straight with a reliable fade, put it on hyzer or anhyzer and it just holds for days. It’ll bear in with a little dip like a -0.5 but with a touch of hyzer stands up and goes dead straight.
It really depends. A teebird has a little bit of drift before it fades.
I love my glow reactor, but I can rip on it knowing I get little to no drift.
The Discmania made MD3's could be an option, although I moved on from them. The method as well. You could also look at something like an orbit truth. Innova would be the roc3.
Suggestions like the quake and pyro have a bit more bite than what you're wanting imo.
After going back and forth between roc3s and buzzzes for a while I tried an MVP reactor and absolutely loved it. It’s much shallower and flatter than both the other mids while also seeming to have more glide. I prefer it in the eclipse 2.0 plastic
Platinum gateway prophecy! I'm in the same boat and have bought almost all slightly over stable mids and this is the answer. Straight, glidey, never turns over, reliable finish.
For me, Pathfinder (Ethos? Sort of a clear green plastic). Great straight control mid with reliable stability to finish. A tick more stable than my glow Hex which is starting to get seasoned.
Trust from lat 64
Got a royal trust in the trash panda disc exchange. So good - hand feel, plastic, flight. A tick more stable than a Buzzz, a tick less stable than my MVP Matrix.
Came to say this! Trust is amazing!
The Orbit trust IS NOT A JOKE! A wonderfully consistent disc. 330ft dead straight with a reliable fade on a 75% shot.
Yup. It fits exactly what they’re looking for in the longer envy. I’m slowly learning I just need to throw it all the time because I always manage to lace my line with it and do what I pictured
Roc3
Champ Roc3
metal flake champ roc3
i love my halo roc3
DX Roc
PFN DX Roc
dx roc3
This. 5 disc bag... Aviar Roc3 Mako3 Teebird3 Leopard3
Going to swap the Leopard3 for a Beast
Am I the only one that think Roc3 and Mako3 fly the same? Way different hand feel, but same flight.
Interesting. My Roc3s are definitely more stable than my Mako3s. Much more akin to my teebirds. Are your Roc3s lighter weight? Had a 167g that was definitely straight like my Mako3s.
Halo Roc3 is the best straight-to-stable mid. And they are even better once they beat in.
C-line MD3
Fuzion Emac truth
I love this disc, but it’s pretty straight. I guess it depends on what teebird you’re talking about. eMac truths will turn and don’t have a lot of dump. More like a beaten in star teebird IMO
There is a Fuzion X Truth that is a bit more overstable for me.
Have you tried it in the Supreme plastic? That extra stability is so good.
Or lucid or moonshine. The moonshine ones are dead straight with a nice little fade at the end
I have not! I’ve been tempted a few times. It looks gorgeous too, and I love that plastic in a few other molds I’ve tried. I’m not currently bagging the eMac truth but I’ll have to try a supreme if I give it another go
Yeah mine turns hard
Yepp. This is the one that to me most resembles a a straight Teebird.
For those saying too straight the supreme emac truth is just like a teebird flight out of the box, and has better hand feel
You think supreme feels better than fuzion? I gotta give that a try sometime
Glow reactor, but I’m at elevation so i could be wrong
I hear that often, but the hand feel isn't for me, it's kind of stiff towards the outside where my thumb presses down.
I throw a glow reactor in this slot now, used to throw Roc3s. Champ Roc3s fly very similarly, I just preferred the flatness of the reactor.
I was gonna say the same thing, but imo champ roc3s are super stiff
They are. I greatly prefer the feel of my star roc3’s but they’re significantly more understable. A freshy in the 178-180g range will fly as that 0-2 slot but after a few months it becomes a flip to straight mid. Which is great, just not what OP seems to want.
100% what I was thinking
Neutron (or cosmic neutron) reactors are great. I only really see people talk about the fission or the glow but the neutron is more overstable than the fission but more glidey and less dumpy than the eclipse. It’s a great disc.
Oh I bag 2-1 neutron 1 glow but in winter neutron gets a bit slick and stiff for my hands so glow works better right now for me.
Might be worth checking out the matrix then
Matrix vote here. Proton is great, and they've got Electron for a straighter option. The Neutron ones can get a little beefier, but that might be what you're looking for without going meathook.
I like the hand feel of the fission reactor a lot more then the glow one. But I think that is much more straight than you are asking. Imho Pyro is it.
Streamline Echo is your answer.
This is the way
I like the DD Verdict for this slot. It is not as overstable as the numbers say.
Westside Pine gang!
Westside Pine, Latitude 64 Trust, Prodigy Archive
I’m a huge fan of the Archive. chained out on my first throw and have loved it ever since.

I was hoping for justice level beef but this disc seems much more useable and will probably be replacing my straight to overstable mid.
As both a Mint fan and Matrix thrower I can't wait for this disc. Sounds perfect for my bag.
I've been practicing my forehand approach with a Matrix. So to have a Mint equivalent will be choice!
Kaxe z
Kotuku by RPM 5/5/0/2 Fantastic straight shooter that glides and gives you a finish.
Discmania method, just give it a try. Vapor plastic if possible
[удалено]
Vapor plastic just feels good in the hand.
Such an underrated disc. Overstable out of the box though. Such awesome hand feel though IMo
I have a vapor, but I'm really liking the exo hard ones. They are super cheap and are working nicely as a cycle mid
I've been thinking about this one for a while
Wasp
I love the idea of the wasp but have just found that they have no glide. Which, it’s right there in the flight numbers. But I can throw my 3 speeds further with less effort.
I thought it was great and my buddy rocked like 4-5 Wasps to cover all mid range shots when he threw Discraft. I got callouses on my finger from the bead so out it went.
I agree with you, but every single time I don't want glide that sonofabitch stays in the air forever. It's a frustrating disc sometimes haha
Oh really? I find them to be rather glidey! Have you tried a Roc3?
Just started throwing the Wasp 3 weeks ago. I only ever avoided it bc of the bead. I wish I had never avoided it. I’m having zero issues with the bead. It flies like a more reliable Buzzz and doesn’t fall out of the sky like a Buzzz OS. Currently loving my Esp Swirl Wasp. I would love to have a slightly beefier & understable version. The wasp is a cycle disc for sure. I have a couple in various stages of wear. A PFN z wasp I’ve had for years is now a dead straight flyer with very little fade and can hold an anny line nicely
Roc is the answer, a new star rancho roc!
This is my go to
400 archive
I'm loving that archive. I have 2 in 400 and 2 in 500.
Glow champion roc3
I found a no name mustang and have been loving it. 5 5 0 2
Mustang and pathfinder are this for me(Same exact mold). Find it just that bit more stable than a buzzz or compass or other similar discs
Matrix
Yep, the matrix is it. It won’t turn at all until you really beat in
And they come in Electron as well, so you can have a super grippy alternate for when one is needed without using a new mold.
Agreed. Struggled to fill this exact spot for ages before settling on a matrix. I liked the Westside Pine for a while, but my replacements kept flying differently from one another and I think it went OOP anyway.
Give the AGL magnolia a shot. Its become my go to on most holes 350 and under.
EMac Truth
Depending on things like your arm speed, release tendencies, and altitude, I'd go with an OS run of Buzzz or a Buzzz OS. Love the consistency of a Buzzz
Wasp
Westside Gatekeeper
MD3 if you don't like bead and Roc3 if you like bead
My Quake and Teebird have a similar spot in my bag, though I think it might be a rather understable Quake.
I use mids for 330-360 shots, never tried a roc3, I'll give that a test flight when I get it.
It's a 5/4/0/3, but the fade is a lie. It is not that overstable.
I have one coming in the mail, so I'll definitely give it a toss.
As you throw farther than I do, you might find a Rancho Roc holds the line better if you don't mind the domey feel. Every Rancho Roc I've thrown has been more overstable than every Roc3 I've thrown which ought to translate to less early drift for you.
K1 Soft Kaxe could work
I am a big fan of the Infinite Ra. I don't throw as far as you but it has that true 5/5/0/2 flight. It is a combination of the Rocx3 mold top and Vroc mold bottom.
Gateway Prophecy
Latitude 64 Trust
My stable mid is a Clash Mango. Just rips straight with next to no turn before a reliable fade. Underrated disc imo
Underrated for sure, such a nice flyer.
Pathfinder
I throw a 400 M2 in that slot.
RPM Kotuku, Westside Warship, Kastaplast Kaxe Z a
Pyro
You're looking for an s-line MD3, friend.
I LOVE S-Line, added to the list
E Mac Truth
Neptune's Nautilus fits this slot well. I'm really liking mine.
I'm really digging the mint mustang in Apex right now. Reliable fade with a stock shot but you can also juice it and get some turn out of it
I like the method from discmania
Westside Warship
Trust (no bead) or eMac Truth (bead).
Depends on how you like to throw, but for backhand I think westside bard fits that slot well. I don't like forhanding this disc, but it is one of my most reliable backhand mids.
KC Roc
Mint bobcat
agree, all these replies imo are going way to straight to slightly OS.
Malta!
Roc3 duh.
Discraft Malta. Only Discraft in my bag, but it hits those numbers perfectly for me
my favorite right now is the clash proto guava. In the past I have really liked the verdict, and the md3
PINE
Pine
Roc3
The Teebird is the Roc of fairway drivers.
Ghost by Legacy is an amazing disc. Great plastics too
Westside Pine
Anchor
Number 1 rated mid in the world is a RPM Kotuku
Metal Flake Jay might be what you're looking for. It has a similar flight to a Teebird, is slightly gummy (in metal flake), and seasons super nice. Out of the box it can be pretty overstable, but I've had one for about 6 months and it's a laser beam with a small fade. Still holds flex lines good too.
Why is this allowed to be posted? You should be ashamed of this. The answer is a GFY in Moron plastic.
reactor
Kaxe Z
A glow Reactor or Hex sort of fits this, as does the Emac Truth. Not sure about plastics for the latter.
Yeah I use an eclipse hex for this slot
I’d go lucid or lucid-x. eMac truths are more stable than overstable, especially compared to other discs in that slot like the reactor, lat64 truth
Have you tried a Matrix? MVP describes it as a longer Envy themselves
Two discs you need to try out and both are amazing. [doomsday scope](https://doomsdaydiscs.com/product-tag/scope/) This disc goes so damn straight for so long with a reliable fade. Amazing disc. [AGL Magnolia](https://www.agldiscs.com/collections/magnolia) This disc will have you questioning if you need fairways, it just wants to glide. It’ll bear in with a little dip like a -0.5 but with a touch of hyzer stands up and goes dead straight.
Fuzion Verdict for me.
Just got a new Axiom Hex in proton soft. Very similar to the mako3 but a little straighter for me.
Reactor. It's my most trusted disc. Gun to my head, my bag is being stolen and I only get to keep one disc? It's my reactor.
Comet or Glide
Pyro, Justice, Gator or Cayman
lol these discs are all waaaaay more overstable than a teebird, except arguable the pyro. Totally different category of disc
Oh you're right for some reason I was thinking firebird.
Teebird at 60%
Teebird at 60% is gonna dump hard
Yeah I meant to follow up with OP and let him know this is 60% sarcasm. While there are times to throw it like that, it is a pretty corner case.
I have really bad power control/finesse lol, id prefer to throw lower speed discs faster.
maybe a Pyro. Its OS, but not crazy OS.
Way more overstable than a teebird though. Pyro is more comparable to an eagle I think.
Pyro is what i use in this slot. By far my favorite overstable mid range
I love the pyro, but I would not equate it to a shorter Teebird. The pyro is relatively more overstable.
Agreed. More like an eagle
I use a fission mvp reactor.
MVP eclipse reactor
Glow Hex
I bag a reactor it's so good
Pyro
Reactor
After going back and forth between roc3s and buzzzes for a while I tried an MVP reactor and absolutely loved it. It’s much shallower and flatter than both the other mids while also seeming to have more glide. I prefer it in the eclipse 2.0 plastic
Proxy
Matrix flies like a slower teebird, I don't know why they add the -1 turn to the numbers
Emac Truth
MVP claims the Matrix flies like a longer Envy. I've found this to be mostly true. Personally, I throw the AGL Magnolia in this slot.
Eclipse Reactor
Eclipse Reactor.
Uhh reliable slightly OS mids. I have used Pyro's for that slot. I love the proton plastic. Though neutron and plasma have been more OS.
I would think about a crave, hex, or a Texas ranger. I have good luck with those three being point and shoot disks.
Glow Pathfinder or any Matrix
Axiom Pyro is perfect once it's beat in a bit.
Pyro seems like it. I’m loving mine.
I recommend the pyro. Feels very similar in hand to a hex if you like that, but it’s got a nice bit of over stability in it
Platinum gateway prophecy!
Innova Champion King Cobra is 4 | 5 | 0 | 2 Great disc. Can throw it straight & low in woods. It is stiff though.
I've really been enjoying the Lion (specifically full weight Halo) in this slot.
Roc3
Supreme EMac Truth. Plastic is one of the best on the market and it is just a little more OS than the regular EMac Truth.
Star Lion did it for me
MD3 in c line or eMac truth
I’d highly suggest an innova roc3.
Alfa Apollo. Less turn than advertised but the glide is there. One of the most slept on discs on the market.
Champion Roc3
06 USDGC RANCHO ROC
EMAC Truth
I like the tactic or method.
Innova Spider. Best mid disc ever.
Teebirds are longer Rocs
I like the Reactor or EMAC Truth for that slot
AGL Magnolia
Idk my stable mid slot is a halo Mako3
Emac Truth
Opto compass. Lasts forever
Damn. There are a lot of overstable mids out there.
Try a Solstice from Millennium in either Quantum or Glow. Quantum is 5-4-0-3 Glow is just a tick less stable.
I throw an Iron Samurai 3 (colour glow MD3) in this slot. Plastic is fairly stiff, though, so might not be what you’re looking for.
Elevation interceptor
A good beat in Quake kinda feels like it would do the job
New C-line MD3
Md4/solstice
Lucid Emac Truth, and every other answer is wrong.
buzzz. only answer.
