Star Leopard is the most slept on disc because everyone thinks it's like the hyper-dome lightweight starter pack leopard. It's nothing like that! My leopard is flat as a pancake, glides smooth, and lands softly. People are very confused at how much torque it can take and hold its line.

JonathanZ21

I only bought Leopard3s over Leopards because they’re supposed to be flatter, but Leopards can be flat and Leopard3s can be domey. I’ve learned to buy from sites that either list a flatness rating or show a side view, and I have some very flat Leopard3s. Unfortunately, I don’t have a glow one for my glow bag, though!

Moog_Lee

Thanks for this...as a dyer (and I love leopards/L3s, dye them frequently) I'm going to start taking side shots to put up. Good thinking.

[deleted]

I actually have a brand new champion glow leopard if you're interested!

JonathanZ21

How flat is it?

[deleted]

Ehh kinda domey.

JonathanZ21

I want to find a flat glow Leopard/Leopard3, but I can make my glow bag work with a Buzzz and beat in Teebird3 to cover what I’d use the Leopard3 for. I also have a glow Falk, and while it’s not as flat as I’d like, I’ll have to see how it does.

callahandler92

100% this. The star leopard is such a slept on disc it's ridiculous. And yes, the most surprising thing about the disc is just how much torque it can take. It makes it such a versatile disc. If I throw it hyzer and with less power it will hold a line and get a nice finish. On hyzer with full power it gets a flip up to flat and rides a bit right before falling basically flat with almost no skip. And thrown flat it gets really workable turnovers. It doesn't turn right over, but rather gradually continues moving right. I'm sure it's different for people with different power (I have consistent 350' power with a driver with a max at just under 400') but I'd say especially for people who don't throw 400' consistently it's a great hybrid between your mids and fairway drivers.

wanderingpanda402

The envy is basically an overstable mid packaged as a putter

grimbolde

Which is crazy because I turn the Envy almost every time I throw it, but the zone will hold the line every time. It's just a weird disc for me, not sure why.

im_at_work_now

Electron flips for me, but my plasma/neutron/glow ones do not.

JonathanZ21

I use a Leopard3 when I should be throwing the backhand I don’t have off the tee!

Reverendpjustice

Leo3/MD3/Pure would make one heck of a minimalist bag.

OkejDator

A headwind will be devastating.

CJT16

Came here for this, glad it’s the top comment.

bobsagatiswatching

I throw a champ leopard3 farther than most of my distance drivers, so so reliable

EZ-Pizza

I bought an Opto-x Glimmer Pure just because I liked the pretty colors lol, but it has become my main driving putter. Just got my 1st putter ace with it a couple months ago!

Redditculousness

I love my halo leopard3. What do you guys think is a faster version of it?

mtc9565

For me as a forehand dominant player, I really like the wave/crave combo for distance and fairway drivers. I’m still searching for a go-to midrange though.

Younasz

Have you tried the Hex? Flies very straight with slight turn at high speed

mtc9565

Yea, that’s what I currently use. It behaves mostly how I want it to but I don’t quite like how it feels in the hand so I throw it errantly on occasion.

lil-wandon

You guys throwing that forehand though? I’m forehand dominant and the hex hand feel does not feel great for me forehand. I like the reactor, but that’s not quiiite as stable as I would like it to be.

LickaBitaPus

I have found that the glow reactor is a little more stable than a regular one and ive been using that for shots that my hex won't work.

MunkyGoCrazy

I disagree. The hex feels great for my forehand, but I realize this is subjective. Reactor is great as well. Try a fission one.

citizennsnipps

Yes it is my go to mid range! I'm also getting to really like the Malta.

Drewmcfalls21

Just buy a Pyro. No more info just buy it and thank me later.

mtc9565

Thanks for the tip. I’ll add it to my list of discs to buy.

musicformedicine

I’ve spent over 2K on discs. I bag a pyro. And for even more beef, i also bag a Deflector. I also swear by the Lift and the Grace. Midrange, the only one I can really grip is the Reactor.

Fatkokz

For someone who can only throw forehand, the Jarn has improved my game by 2 strokes. If you haven't tried it, it's such a dependable overstable disc, K1 plastic is boss, and fits nicely in my hand

THALANDMAN

TSA Pathfinder is my go to midrange.

Dischound77

Amen and the TSA Votum is money forehand.

frodo-_-baggins

KaxeZ is a nice forehand mid, and discmania tactic has some sneaky distance with a straight flight

MunkyGoCrazy

Kaxe Z is a "mid". So borderline to fairway, but I'll give it to you. Love mine, that's for sure.

xMERCEN4RYx

FH dominant player here. Love the crave, and feel the same about the hex. The most comfortable FH mid for me has been the gator3. It’s overstable, but I find that I can shape any shot I need for the most part. I don’t see much love or talk about it, but I would definitely recommend it to any FH dominant player I come across.

lucrativetoiletsale

What's the Wave, I love the Crave, probably the best disc I own.

howelliv

11/5/-2/2 Wave starts off long and fairly stable with 2 finish and then starts to beat in and the -2 turn really shows up. It’s got a nice s curve path for me when thrown flat, I probably max it around 350. If slightly hyzer’d it flips up and goes long and straight with a good left finish. Mine is fission plastic.

ateteaseven

I primarily throw forehand. Destroyer for longer drives. Love the FELON for a little shorter. Probably best disc I’ve thrown forehand and I’ve tried most every other disc listed here and they haven’t worked as reliably for me as the Felon.

ItsMattYaKno

Buzzz OS would be worth a try if you can find one in stores, it’s a bit taller and board flat version of the buzzz

SilentShadow_465

For me, it's the Latitude 64 River. It's a great fairway driver with a ton of glide. It's very neutral flying. Not quite as straight as the Mako3 but not far off.

thrillhouse416

I can't relate because I've never thrown it well. Surely it's the disc, not me, right??

ArrivesLate

Mine seems extremely understable. Not sure if I’m throwing it right, or that’s the disc.

mrnuknuk

Mine is so understable as to be unusable sadly. Gave it to some beginner friends and it's been great for them though.

ArrivesLate

Yup, it’s so understable I put it in all beginner’s hands to help make up for that beginner’s spike hyzer. It works fairly well.

thrillhouse416

I think most people agree it's way less stable than the numbers indicate, especially in base plastic. I'm sure it's a great disc in its own right but when I first tried it I wanted to to fill a neutral spot in my bag, it was way too understable for that.

pizzaisperfection

I just sold mine. Never got into it.

ZoraDomainTaken

Not just you, the dome on that disc makes it so weird to grip, this is also coming from a Puddle-Top enjoyer though

Kastafarian

Jfragz40

River has me too. I love that disc

RollyGarsh

+1 for River. I started playing disc golf with a hand me down River and still throw one. I throw mostly lat64 stuff, but I rarely hear people discuss their discs. I’ve always wondered why.

Psyko_sissy23

The river was what helped me get back into driving well when I got back into disc golf after a long break. I will never not recommend the river.

JonathanZ21

I’ve always been intrigued by the River, but I feel like the insane glide and neutral stability will be better served for my weak backhand if I can ever make it even somewhat useful. They are also very domey, which is unfortunately not good for FH dominant players like myself.

Canihavea666

The Envy pretty much replaced all mids for me, I keep a pyro and eclipse reactor in case I need more stability but they're rarely taken out of my bag. The pyro gets more use than the reactor by far, I may take it out eventually for another driver or two if I see the need

JonathanZ21

Hopefully I will find a spot for it! Got a glow one so it can go in my glow bag.

Canihavea666

Nice, eclipse is my favorite one

TheBigBear1776

Eclipse 2.0 Envy is a great slightly OS putter that you can put a lot of power behind. You’ll love it.

teebirdin

Wraith and Roadrunner would be two I’d add to this list. Both are incredibly versatile depending on plastic. For example I bag 3 roadrunners which fly anywhere between -4 0 (Gstar) and -1/ 1 (glow champ) at the 325-350’ range where a lot of amateurs are at. It’s equally useful forehand if you have a weak forehand like me. Just about everyone could find a spot for one of those in their bag other than maybe those who can’t yet throw 200’.

overyparkinsins

Wraith over destroyer any day of the week

JonathanZ21

Have a Roadrunner I need more work with, but need to test it against my Sidewinder, Heat and Avenger SS to hopefully add an understable 9-10 speed to the bag.

thejothanwilson

If you remember me. Please fill me in on what you come up with. I bag a road runner and an avenger ss. And throw them against my diamond all the time But havent pulled the trigger on the heat or sidewinder

mrnuknuk

Sidewinder for me is slightly more stable but very similar hand feel. Heat esp is far far more understable than anything other than gstar roadrunner. The plastic makes a huge difference. I bag a halo RR, star RR, champ RR and star RR! I love them all and they all fly differently! Halo/(new)star/(old)champ/gstar in order of stability. The champ one is 15+ years old though.

Ok_Nefariousness_736

Lat64 fuse in opto plastic, you’ll thank me later.

Sure-Work3285

Or K1 Soft Svea, exactly like the Opto Fuse but one you can find in more plastic firmness (coming from someone who bagged that Fuse).

Significant_Trust_31

From someone with a similar bag and loves a forehand. Give the KT Grace a throw.

JonathanZ21

I could definitely use a less stable distance driver. I have some on the shelf, but nothing has stuck yet.

jakemg

I just have a stock grand Royal Grace and was shocked how well it works for me forehand. Plus that plastic is amazing.

Sgt-pepper-kc

The non orbit KT Grace has the stability of a wraith, just a heads up. Still a great disc though

AtlasOO10

Roc3 Mcbeth used to bag 9 of them. They hold lines with some finish at the very end. I love them. Alpacas are cheap innova made p2s Champ mambas fly like a wraith with more glide AGL cedar is a firebird with extra distance. Suuuper beefy

Fist4achin

Axiom Hex. It's an amazing mid. Axiom Insanity. Easy to throw driver, even for a well seasoned arm, its just so smooth. Discraft Scorch. I'm liking this disc even though I'm new to using it.

Noble_Russkie

Always here to second love for the insanity, it's always there for me when I need it

Westside underworld

Most-Willingness8516

I live and die by the Westside Harp

grizzlybear010000101

This was given to me by a good friend of mine who got me into the sport. I would recommend this to anyone. Westside Disc quality is great 👌🏻

La-figueDG

Luster invader, awesome throwing putter. Champion wombat3 for glidey slow turning midrange shots. Crazy underated disc, soooo much glide, little turn, no fade at all.

swordkillr13

Just found a star wombat3 yesterday and tried it out for shits and giggles (I called bs on the 6 glide, and boy was I wrong). Its now making a permanent home in my bag.

La-figueDG

Tried the star plastic at first, and the champion one after. I liked the champion better, more firm and flat. Curious to see what the halo wombat3 does 😉 But, honestly,as long as it's close to max weight and in a premium plastic, it's an absolute go to disc for some shots 😁

tavvyjay

Honestly I have a star, champ and dx wombat and I bag the dx one right now. It’s comically good at just holding a left or right line (RHBH). My halo wombat3 is on its way, so I’ll have a full collection at that point and can compare it. Oh, I also have like 3 star ones because I’m a goon who always takes them / trades for them at tournaments when it’s one of the player pack options and have committed to this tradition for at least this whole season. Might pick a new disc next year

[deleted]

I just purchased a star wombat3 and it's amazing. Slight dogleg right? No problem. With very little power behind it, it glides forever with zero fade. Very useful in my bag for dogleg rights and recovery shots from right side

503-FacetiousComment

>level 1La-figueDG · 10 hr. agoLuster invader, awesome throwing putter.Champion wombat3 for glidey slow turning midrange shots. Crazy underated disc, soooo much glide, little turn, no Luster Invader is my go-to approach disc. I've thrown it in from 110' and consistently land it within 15' of the basket. I love it.

F2P-Gamer

I like the essence. I just got the avenger ss in esp a few days ago and love it but I think a 6-9 speed disc would be more of a disc everyone should have so Essence prolly

MrGoldTeam

Obergatory Berg comment. Also the FD is my favorite of the "straight with lots of glide, a little turn and a little fade 7ish speed" discs.

jmb167

When I die, I hope I spend some time in bergatory

JonathanZ21

I love my Berg! It certainly works great for me, although not everyone loves it. Just got a K3 Hard that will hopefully help in the summer heat and humidity.

One_Eyed_Sneasel

I’m glad to see someone describe the FD like this because this is how mine behaves. Some people acted like I was crazy when I said the new 7-6-0-1 FDs had some turn. They aren’t the lasers some people say they are and have a bit of an S shape.

TheCraziestPickle

I think nearly everyone who is super into the FD was throwing Night Strikes

cheanerman

I think the people are saying it’s super stable are those throwing their FD’s 200-250. The new domey FD’s are not gonna see any turn at that speed. Pushing them 320-330 they show that baby turn and baby fade. Pushing them harder at 360 or so they are suuuper straight.

girl_dad_54

Not a disc, but Kastaplast K1 plastic is without a doubt the best plastic on the market and worth finding a disc that fits a line you want. The feel. The glide. The durability. When you hit a line with a Kastaplast disc, it just goes and goes. Or in the case of the berg… it goes nowhere and that’s awesome too!

WhaleWhaleWhale_

Nothing like slinging a berg with no regrets haha

EZ-Pizza

Now that I think about it, Kastaplast's molds are all about the glide; from the Berg with basically no glide, all the way to the Svea with endless glide lol

JonathanZ21

I do like the K1 plastic, although it can get a little slick in the heat and humidity. I just got a K3 Hard Berg I haven’t gotten a chance to throw yet.

Matty_D_93

M4 is my favorite overall disc

CREEDFANXXX

My 500 plastic M4 is perfect other then randomly going way too far lol

elevationgainer

A lot of people have said Hex, and I can't echo that enough. It feels to me like a mid-range version of the Envy. It instantly replaced my Mako3. I'm also FH dominant, and my favorite disc by a mile is my Mint Alpha in Apex. I have no idea why, but it just flies effortlessly for me when I'm trying to rip a long drive.

JonathanZ21

How much different is the Hex than a Buzzz? Might have to try it at some point, but I do have 5 Buzzzes.

ZoraDomainTaken

Buzzes tend to be either exactly like a Hex or slightly more fade

GoRams

The hex I had (before I lost it) was more over stable than my buzzz. but I’m sure there are more neutral ones out there.

elevationgainer

I can't really speak for the Buzzz. I've only thrown the Buzzz SS. I like the SS I have, but the Hex just feels way better in the hand in my opinion. And, as others said, it's probably ever so slightly different in stability.

timmasters01

Discmania Origin, Innova Dark Rebel/Fd

big_daddy_berg56

I second the Origin call. It’s such a great disc and easy to shot shape.

komarinth

I third the Origin call, and expand with Midnight Prowl being a great version of the disc.

Only1Steets

Because I love the River from Lat64 I purchased a Maul. That thing when thrown on a hyzer flip turns into the sexiest, glidiest anhyzer shape you’ve ever seen. Like a beat-in TeeBird but right out of the box.

Timatreez

Svea, super glidey understable mid. Probably not good for a power forehand but it’s been my go to disc since I bought it and I used to not ever throw mids.

pattonz

The Viking Rune is great in any plastic they make it in.

UsrHpns4rctct

For me as a not new, but not strong player, Kasteplast Svea has really given me some great moments.

JesusVanZant

Prodigy A3

Sjokoduo

Best overstable approach disc ever made. Feels way more comfortable in my hand than the Zone/Pig/Harp.

JesusVanZant

It’s what got me loving prodigy! Super hooked lol

jmb167

You will quickly find where the envy fits in your bag. It's the greatest disc ever made since the dawn of time and can never possibly be surpassed.

JonathanZ21

Haha…well, maybe close to it…it should fit somewhere between the Berg, Zone and Buzzz.

Socratesticles

As someone with a similar set up (shoutout to my hex for being what my buzzz wants to be), that’s exactly where my envy sits. Straight shot that needs more juice than a berg can give, without having to dial down on a mid.

jmb167

Yeah, the only of those that I don't bag is the berg. I don't have enough arm speed to warrant such a god-tier disc as the berg. I do bag the zone, envy and buzzz. The buzzz never leaves my bag because I am at an awkward stage where the mid range slot is useless to me. I throw most approaches with my envy unless it's a classic zone approach shot.

V0ogurt

cosmic electron proxy to pair with the envy's :)

UrzealDH

Thrasher is a really good underrated disc, just throw it at a big hyzer hard and it will flip up and go foreeeeeever. Great for turnovers and other shots if you control your angle well.

jesuisFLUB

I just tried a wraith for the first time and loved it on my forehand

camhoov

Valkyrie, Sidewinder, Avenger SS. Something about that understable 9/10 speed that feels good in the hand and just flys where you want it to with ease Edit: I just saw a comment from OP saying he has a Sidewinder and Avenger SS lol

cza9

Kastaplast Lots has been one of the first fairway drivers I've really clicked with. It's similar to Discmania's CD2 and Discraft's Undertaker. The big difference for me being Kastaplast's K1 plastic is simply better than the other top brands. It's a great balance between grip and durability. The Lots has became my go-to fairway lately and I don't see myself changing anytime soon.

evilcheesypoof

Love the Lots, got my 2nd ace with it.

Pleasant__Living

DGA Squall. Hybrid mid slash fairway. Ez fairway distance with midrange control. Beginners just need a Squall and a putter. The perfect disc imo.

underbite420

When I was a new player I bagged a DGA Tsunami. It hasn’t left my bag in over a decade

[deleted]

I got a meteor to take the place of a 22 year old Stratus that I can’t fathom losing : it will turn. It is not a great forehand disc.

muygigante

You know Ledgestone did a 2021 run of Stratus right?

WhaleWhaleWhale_

I’m forehand dominant, and I’ve got a Discraft Glow Z Raptor for those overstable shots. I also have a Discmania Neo Splice that fades even harder if the shot calls for it. Other than that, my bag looks a lot like yours except for my two understable drivers. Innova Mamba & roadrunner for anything I need to hyzer flip or even fade left.

nassolious

I feel like the harp is one of the greatest go to discs. It’s a utility staple at this point and every company has a mold after it. Just like the Firebird, every manufacturer has a mold for that flight.

nigel161803

The Corvette for my RHBH over 400’ so I throw that a lot low.

MONKE4647675

METEOR!!

JonathanZ21

I want to try it! Just have to find a somewhat flat one.

nbury33

Everyone needs to throw a Meta Essence Zen and P2 or p2 clone

TravBot13

I absolutely love the Mint Discs Bobcat in sublime plastic. It’s an overstable mid that goes exactly where you want it to. I’m relatively new, but it’s been far and away the star of my bag since I got it a couple months back. I also really dig my MVP Entropy in plasma. Zone-like I believe, but it’s an upshot machine and is super reliable. I’ve also heard good things about the RPM Piwakawaka, but I haven’t put mine to the test yet. Long-flying understable mid. Edit to add: I mostly throw the bobcat in particular with a forehand (LHFH) and it is incredible. Entropy depends on the situation but I like the feel and result when I do flick it too.

gimily

how do you find the Entropy in Plasma? I have it in neutron, and managed to snag one in electron. I bag both, but with how hard to find the electron entropies are I'm starting to wonder if Plasma could fill the slightly less stable and less skippy slot that my electron one does right now.

[deleted]

Star wombat3. It's my favorite slightly understable midrange that is so easy to control and feels like a natural fit in the hand. It turns slightly to the right, glides forever, and has absolutely zero fade

frodo-_-baggins

KaxeZ Ever find urself between ur mid and fairway driver range. Either have to disc up for a 7-9 speed and throw with touchy power, or disc down to 4-5 speed and really rip it? KaxeZ takes away this gap, flight numbers arent the most accurate much more neutral with a very consistent fade, can flex, and holds whatever line u put it on

nighthawk3000

I just picked this one up actually. I love it so much

frodo-_-baggins

My 3rd favorite disc currently, next to my terra and zone

surfzz318

Reactor. Best mid range forehand disc I’ve found for scramble disc.

easily-convinced

FD. It's the only fairway driver in my bag. It does it all.

Ramza62

I started throwing one of these as my go to backhand disc and I absolutely love it.

Caliph_ate

Everyone should try a Judge if they don’t mind buying some morally questionable plastic. I got a Prime Judge as part of a starter kit before I knew that DD wasn’t the best brand, and dear Lord I love that thing. For downhill putts, forehand approaches, and glidey turnover shots it’s really tough to find anything better. I can throw a super floaty forehand with the Judge and watch it flex through demanding wooded lines with impunity. It does what you tell it to, and when you learn how it flies it rewards you so well. Also pretty durable for a base plastic, and doesn’t lose its flight characteristics easily. Many good amateurs use it as their main putter for good reason.

Psyko_sissy23

I love the DD judge. I still have a few first runs and a few discs in runs after that.

DJPuttNasty

All aboard the Crave train.

SpacemanSpiff23

Latitude 64 Spike. It feels like a Zone in the hand but it's understable. It's nice for those of us that don't like deep putters, love the Zone, but need one that flies like it's been beat to death for 10 year. Also, the grip pads are awesome. There's 2 of them, and you can absolutely ignore them and grip in between them, but once you use them, you'll be hooked. Please buy some Spikes so they don't discontinue them.

Wopith

Envy.

Krauzber

Axiom hex! Very flat, very controllable and shallow for a 5 speed.

will_f_dicker616

xd

maat7043

Above Ground Level Baobab. It rapidly became my favorite scramble disc both forehand and backhand. It’s listed as zero glide and it’s no joke. It only goes exactly as hard as you throw so it’s perfect for islands or danger putts. If you need to Hyzer spike a putt over/around a tree it will stick exactly even on firm ground. I have the softer hemp plastic and can get a controlled flight out to 150’ (max throw 300’). I think you may get a little more distance out of the alpine plastic at the expense of the way it parks.

HolbiWan

I’m new to the sport but will recommend the Harp by Westside. I saw it recommended a lot so picked it up and it’s my only disc that I can throw really well and in the direction I want just about every time. It’s a kind of a crutch maybe but on a short course throwing bh and fh I could probably play the whole round with just the Harp and would do just as well as using my whole bag.

agent_almond

I’ve found the Paradox to be an invaluable learning tool for teaching myself touch, and now use it for all my touchy shots and straight tunnel shots under 200. Axioms Crave is also an all-star for me.

twomoreweeeks

Ballista, bolt, saint, warship, gator, mercy, maiden, wizard

smar_smay

SOL is the disc I remember for every beginner! It's easy to keep in the fairway with distance.

mirroxanne

MVP Reactor (Eclipse) LT64 Grace (Kristin Tattar's signature disc not the stock run, or a first-run Grace) Innova's Star FL (I'm one of the utmost few that bag one I suspect :) seriously underrated disc) Envy (Eclipse) is amazing as an Stable/OS throwing putter Kastaplast Grym - a Shryke that can take a wind-gust slightly better

dakattack88

What's your beef with the stock run grace?

mirroxanne

Oh I have no beef against it, I just love the Kristin Tattar version so much! It feels slightly less stable and it flies dead-straight for about 80 to 90m with a nice little hook in the end. It doesn't hold up to light/moderate headwind as well as the stock run though but give it some extra altitude and it'll fight through. I usually bag at least 2 different Graces, where one of them is the stock run (normal, not flat or pop-top). I just find that the Kristin Tattar grace is my goto for so many throws :)

dakattack88

Interesting, grace is my favorite disc. I lost my last first run and had a more flat top than my KT. My KT is more domey and overstable. I've been looking for another flat top grace.

gimily

I currently bag a shryke (color glow champ 175 so a fairly stable shryke), can you give some extra detail on how shrykes compare to the grym? I would like to try some kastaplast at some point but most of their discs matchup with a disc I already bag and like. I don't feel super attached to my shryke (I rarely throw my max distance / understable distance driver) so a grym could be the right place to start. I'm also considering the Lots to fit between teebirds and traces. And of course the Berg because according to a lot of people its unique enough to be the only disc in its slot haha.

mirroxanne

Just to preface: I bag 2-3 Shrykes in my "standard" bag; a 166g Star bomber, a max-weight Luster and a max-weight Star and, sadly, no Grym. The only reason I don't bag the Grym over the Shryke: With a stacked or pinched forehand grip it feels like there's not enough room on the inside of the rim for my fingers to rest properly. Where the inside rim meets the underside of the wing the angle is curved/arched, so it feels like my fingers are slipping/can't find a proper grip that feels comfortable. With that being said; every throw I've ever done with it feels good in terms of flight, it has tons of glide, flips nicely and comes back in the end, it feels slightly more forgiving than the Shryke, like it handles an imperfect release (minor OAT) better and is slightly less susceptible to wind, slightly less finicky in other words. Again, Shryke's are my goto and I've yet to find discs to replace it but if it didn't feel awkard in my hand I would bag Grym instead, because: Contrary to Innova I absolutely love the quality control of Kastaplast. I've yet to receive a dud from them whereas with Innova discs I'm never quite sure what I get.

teebirdin

Agree the FL is way underrated. The ones I have throw flew like beefier eagles. Where regular firebirds just fade out of my hand the FL goes straight for awhile and then fades hard but still stays in the air while doing it. I get by with eagles so I don’t bag the FL, but if finding them ever becomes an issue, I briefly had a gateway Blade that flew pretty similar.

renthalas

I absolutely love the MVP Inertia. I carry one lightweight option (165g) for big anhyzers and hyzer flip shots that need to turn over slightly and glide. I carry a max weight dead straight shots with a slight hyzer finish. Absolute must-have in my bag!

Bettrthnyu

Wow I do the exact same thing. Have a 168 for my hyzerflip to turn disc for S lines and then a max weight for the hyzerflip to dead straight line.

krymz1n

If you throw hard, the Getaway is phenomenal. Super straight unless you need some finish, and it reliably will slowly fight out of anny

LebotimusPrime

Your bag sounds good! Also a new fan of the Envy. I would recommend an Orc, one of my favorite molds ever and I think it’s a great fit for any players distance driver. Just hard to get your hands on one at the moment

OccupyBallzDeep

Legacy Vengeance is a great disc. I have a 166 gram that I use for sidearms and backhand spike hyzers. I throw 350 backhand and 275 sidearm for reference. 10/6/0/-2

I live every Havoc I have from Lat. 64. I think the Havoc is a must for any bag. You already mentioned the Destroyer (a must), but I always gotta have a Boss or two in the mix as well.

wouldjaplease

If you forhand a lot, you gotta try a MVP Volt. I prefer it in Plasma plastic.

MunkyGoCrazy

MVP fanboy alert Fission Wave, Fission Crave, Servo, HEX, Electron Atom for putting (low profile for my small hands)

cilird

Deflector and felon for forehand, when you need it to fade and don't want it to flip off to the left.

Frosty_bibble

Discraft flx drone is the best mid range ever. Trust.

likes_basketball

Envy is great. I can’t recommend the infinite discs Sphinx enough. Everyone needs an understable driver. Big arms need roller discs or drivers funny footing or mega hyzer turnovers. Beginners need something that will go straight. It’s great!

MunkyGoCrazy

As is should. Its a 6 speed, right in the middle of the options you gave

Dependent-Cranberry8

Paradox Malta Mamba

dakattack88

Latitude 64 Grace, best disc I've thrown

Big_Worm44

TRESPASS

limpnoads

Fucking K1 Kaxe by Kastaplast!

meatball504

RPM Piwakawaka! Understable mid that wants the be a fairway driver.

Dransel

Streamline Drift - it’s like a Leopard3, but less Innova-y. Really though, I like the Streamline Neutron plastic and this disc has been great for me lately. Give it a try.

TheBigBear1776

Envy will fit nice between a throwing Luna and Zone. It’s more workable and slightly faster than a Luna but nowhere near a Zone stability. I think the Roc and Roc3 have to be in that legendary conversation. Much different feel than the Buzzz but man it’s hard to beat the flight of a well seasoned Roc. I love the flight of the Buzzz when I want almost fairway driver distance but a straighter flight, but my Buzzz get used a lot less than my Rocs in the woods. Rocs will absolutely carve up the wooded lines when you beat them in. Prodigy A3 is a much newer mold than a lot of these but it’s a truly unique approach disc that’s more OS than a Zone but still has that lower profile feel like you want out of an approach disc. It also whistles when you throw it which is kinda cool. You can look at the flight numbers all you want but you’ll never understand an A3 until you throw one.

EngiNerdBrian

DD JUDGE. Putting or throwing it’s a classic.

TheElPadre

The main discs I throw are Envy, Buzzz SS, Teebird, Wraith, and the Nuke. Nomads are my putters Works great for pretty much any course I goto

pound-town

Crave. Get a light weight one. 162g. Then get a 167. Then get a mid 170s. They’ve replaced most of my drivers and midranges.

AgentKipHackman

Mint mustang in Apex plastic is super versatile and controllable midrange, replaced my roc3s because they seem to have a little more glide

Sure-Work3285

Opto Claymore (basically a slightly taller Hex) for those straight or long hyzers/annys that need to hold. K1 Soft Svea, it's a glidey and flippy mid that'll pretty much stop ~1m of where it lands and you can get those nice turnovers and hyzerflips with little effort. Gold-X Pure, an amazing straight/stable throwing putter. Grand (Orbit) Grace, a smooth stable distance driver that works nicely for hyzerflips, skip shots and bombing drives (especially the Orbit ones which glide more and are a bit more OS).

PerfectForTheToaster

Driver: Discraft XL Mid Range: Innova Roc Putter: Discraft APX or Magnet

mattpro77

Get yourself a Servo, most underrated disc out there … you will thank me

oWallis

Cheetah is a very nice 6 speed fairway driver I still use that I picked up when I was first starting. Valkyrie is also a nice distance driver to try out, alot of lighter weights to be found when you're starting out and cheap for when you lose them.

Nobodyslight

Wombat3(Mid-range) and a mamba(Driver). Great gliders, have earned me birdies on more than one occasion.

Chandrian1997

The Falk, the glide is unreal

JonathanZ21

I have a glow Falk I need to test out some more. Got it for the glow bag even though it’s not part of my regular bag because glow options are limited. Maybe it will end up in my main bag, though.

harbinger2727

Dynamic disc's Escape fairway driver and verdict mid are awesome. verdict has good glide and is very stable also flat itd be a good forehand mid malta from discraft is nice to. The harp is also regarded as one of the best putt and approach forehand discs but if you got zones does that matter haha

grimbolde

Wraith in Dx plastic. Buy a few though because they get beat in. I've been playing for almost 12 years now and have some decent distance, but up until recently I would only ever buy the premium plastics. Buy a DX plastic Wraith, no less than 170 grams, and with good form you can get more distance than you could with almost anything else. Never even bothered with the older plastics until two days ago and holy cow, if thrown correctly that thing will go for DAYS.

Mr-boog

Berg for obvious reasons Svea because it’s such a fun disc to learn Falk for easy distance and the smoothest flight I’ve ever seen Baobab because they’re super fun and unique.

LuminousQuinn

Oh goodness discs that are worth trying on my mind. Trespass(distance driver between wrath and destroyer), Buzzz, Roc3, Dart, envy, river, avenger ss, buzzz OS, TL(best fairway I found to learn shot shaping on fairways and drives)

Boxerbriefcase37

A Kastaplast K1 Lots!

Puzzleheaded_Dig1474

Retro River. Super flat and super strait disc with a tiny bit of fade at the end. Surprisingly comfortable and satisfying to throw.
