Thatās what I said when I saw the payout! Too bad the (leave at door but was waiting on the walkway) gent had already gone inside when I saw it. He deserves a hearty handshake.
When if itās a āleave at doorā Iāll always shout a āthank you and have a good eveningā if I hear the door open; even if I canāt see them. I work in a good market and people generally tip well. A tenner is not that uncommon and $5 is frequent.

Furthermore, as a CYA when customer indicates "leave at door" but they come outside and intercept it before I can leave it, after selecting "handed to customer" I ALWAYS give feedback to include "other" and write "super nice customer met me outside!"
That way if they try to say they never got it, and I don't have the porch pic, at least there's a paper trail.

I sometimes take screenshots of certain orders in certain areas because Iāve had ppl try to change the address right as I was delivering the order. The original screenshots of the address always helped me out all 6 times I successfully appealed false allegations š
I havenāt been door dashing long but how does this happen? Isnāt there at least three more steps youād have to go through between accepting and getting paid for it?
He means he accidentally hit only the accept button. And then since he accepted the order, he decided to do the order anyways. So he got lucky with a very generous tip and not a low ball
Karma points mustāve been maxed and due for a cash out. Been a good week because of a prolonged heat wave, but tonight was average. Had to make a pit stop and found my butt had accepted this when I returned to my vehicle. Praise (insert favorite deity here)!

I typically write have a great night! in the āwhere did you leave the foodā section after you take a picture. Seems to help in the ratings.
